For nearly five years, Deuce managed to keep his gang out of serious trouble, but a favor for a friend of a friend puts Deuce in a hell of a spot--take temporary--and unwilling--custody of a young man in a relationship that's way over his head or leave him in the path of a near-certain death? Despite his decision to leave college-boy's safety to chance in order to protect his gang from potential kidnapping charges, Cooper ends up cuffed to Deuce's bed and he discovers fate has a different solution in mind.
When Cooper McElroy is kidnapped by bikers, he has no idea his life is about to change forever. From the moment he meets their sinfully sexy leader Deuce, he realizes the attraction might be more dangerous than the situation the bikers claim to have saved him from. Kept in an isolated location, Cooper discovers this is one gang that doesn't seem to have issues with territory--it's all share and share alike. Cooper's only protection is Deuce's order declaring him strictly off limits. But the more time Cooper spends with Deuce, the more his body insists it knows what it wants--so who's going to save him now?
Cooper's about to discover a new life on the open road...and what it means to be part of a gang that shares almost everything. Will he continue to seek his freedom or beg the gang to take him on the ride of his life?
Episode 2: In this episode, Cooper discovers freedom from his abusive ex-boyfriend looks an awful lot like captivity of another sort. As he searches for a way to escape, his inner demon bitch voice points out he might be protesting the situation just a little too much. Especially once he gets a look at Deuce in…action.

While I normally like this author's writing, I've come to the conclusion that this series is not for me. I'm not going to rate this installment, nor the first one, because with it being a serial, I haven't read enough of it to really get a good feel of how I should rate it. I have read enough to figure out that I that I should skip the rest.
The plot centers around Cooper, a young man who was in a very bad relationship that was about to head way south. Cooper's sister asked Duece and his motorcycle club to watch out for him and that results in one of the members esentially kidnapping Cooper to save him from a brutal assault and likely rape at the hands of his overly controlling jerk of a boyfriend.
So far, so good, but Cooper does not know these guys, and coming from an abusive relationship does not make trust come easily. All he really knows for sure is he is being held against his will and he is terrified that these guys are going to pick right up where is boyfriend left off. This installment comes a little too close to dub-con for my comfort. I suspect all that will work itself out in the rest of the series, but there wasn't enough resolved in this one to get me past it, so I'm calling it a day on this series.
Well, we've gone from a rescue in Episode 1 to a captive situation in Episode 2. Cooper, whose sister is a friend of a friend of Deuce was saved from his abusive boyfriend Edward in episode 1. Now it's all the bikers of the Dragon Slayers Club can do to keep the slippery little man safe in their remote cabin. Laura Harner writes smoking hot group sex in episode 2, but it doesn't involve Cooper, except as an unwilling, yet turned on, voyeur. Cooper repeatedly escapes and is caught again until finally he really does get away. Now what? To be continued in episode 3. I am totally hooked on this series.
Sadly, I feel I have no other choice than to reduce my ratings for all Laura Harner books. The evidence of plagiarism for some of her books appears incontrovertible and she has even apologized for it. This, for me, taints her entire body of work. I can no longer trust the integrity of any of her writing.
This in no way reflects upon the integrity or quality of any author with whom she collaborated.
Just finished reading Taken Episode #! Of this series and must admit I AM Hooked. Duece is a rugged, handsome leader of a motorcycle group. It is not a club, but so far does not seem like a gang yet they have actually kidnapped sorta kinda the brother of a friend of a friend named Marcy who is out of town.
Her brother Cooper is in a relationship with an older professional man who Marcy is wary of, and now has asked ‘the guys’ to keep an eye on him. Eye mind you, not mouth or other parts. Duece is out for his birthday and watches Coop and friends at the same bar. Wanting to let loose, he asks a brother biker to keep an eye out and leaves, trusting Coop would be in good hands.
Coop makes the mistake telling his lover the relationship is over, and is forced out of the club to the parking garage and almost raped….Hence the kidnapping begins as he is thrust onto a big ole bike, with a big ole biker and taken to a remote cabin. Coop has to overcome his fears that he has traded one form of ownership for another, while being handcuffed to Duece’s bed with the promise it is for his own good.
Laura writes some very sexy scenes, of man on man action, as Cooper doesn’t know whether to join them or run…..But I guess he will figure it out….Cannot wait for the Next Episode!!!!

Ha! now we get the sex, and goodness me, Ms Harner sure knows how to write hot scenes - between FOUR men, if you will *phew*
Anyway, Cooper is being kept a 'prisoner' but is causing Deuce an awful lot of temptation - which lets us know that the biker gang is flexible with their partners *phew*
And the two times Deuce and Coop are in bed together (OK, NOTHING happens, dammit) are sensually romantic (or is that just me anticipating something......) :)
This story is getting very interesting. Cooper does not realize that he is safe and runs away again. I can not wait for the third book in this series. Erin
still not sure about this. I have a feeling this would be better as a full length book. It seems just like chapters split up at convenient places. The main characters are confusing.
Deuce and Cooper are continuing to circle around each other. But Cooper is still trying to get away. Will not listen to reason. Which could get him in more trouble.
