**Spellbinding.Powell's Books** Josie's life grows more complicated than ever. Between the demands of her family life (including her disapproving mother-in-law), the challenges of performing as a ruthless assassin, and being underestimated by the men she works for, how can she do it alland make it look so good? * A new original series! _Lady Killer_ is a killer cool book with one of my favorite artist/writer teams at the top of their game. It's an exciting and unique take on the whole midcentury-modern vibe, with one great surprise after another! And the colors are really nifty too!Mike Allred

I am really becoming a fan of Josie’s story. She’s your mid 1900’s American Housewife who secretly is this bad ass assassin on the low. She’s a mother with a husband she loves and a suspicious mother in law who lives with the family to help with the kids. In this issue her family life seems to be getting in the way of her response to assignments according to her boss. I loved that this was a topic in the issue because this is something women in the workplace face. Juggling family and work and sometimes being put in situations where work needs to come first. I love Josie’s confidence and she’s damn good at what she does lol taking down men way bigger than she. Can’t wait to see what else is in store.
We get to see more of Josie in action in this one as well as more of her in her role as a suburban housewife hosting a party for her husband's birthday. Her mother in law becomes more suspicious of her with every issue, and her employer asks her to handle a delicate situation while plotting behind her back. I'm interested to see how both of those things play out.
5 Stars! ★★★★★ I can’t express how much I love this art. Each panel tells multiple stories. Not only does it tell you the story about Josie and her life as a housewife by day, hitman (hitwoman) by night, but there’s so much more. You get a glimpse into the lives of all the background people in the story. Jealous wives seeing their husbands flirt with other women. Guys fighting over a girl. These characters have personalities, secrets, fears. The kill scenes are gory, brutal and sickly intense. The attention to detail is lip-biting-good!
Another fine issue. Our lady killer seems to be getting more high profile jobs and there are questions from her director if she can handle her family time. The art is great, suits the story really nice.
I didn't think that I would have enjoyed this as much. The graphics were great! The plot and characters were interesting. It kept me turning the pages.
I like that they kept it as minimalist in the club and stuck to the point where some comics would have unecessary boobage in the background. I also like how she takes no guff from Peck and they see her advancing in the company. that ending, though...
