This book gave me an interesting overview of the possibility of understanding the personality through projection theory, via the method of drawing a human figure. It become a very popular psychological testing method in some countries, Indonesia included.

Some of the concepts might not still hold in the modern era, as we gain more understanding of human psychology. However, considering that this book was published in the 1970s and the limitation of contrasting literature at the time, I kinda understood why my seniors in psychology preferred this method.

However, it's not meant to be used as the holy book where it's treated as the sole truth. The newer generation of psychologists must redefine how we understand other people through research and build on their own experiences, rather than just mimicking what our seniors did 50 years ago.
