In The Master Empath (a follow up to "The Empowered Empath") Rose Rosetree teaches readers that there is something called "Skilled Empath Merge," --- which is the spiritual purpose of being born an Empath, no less --- and then teaches us how to do it.
I appreciated the systematic, step-by-step, truly skill building approach that this book takes. Evidently, Rosetree isn't just pay lip service to the concept of "spiritual self-authority" for her students, and wants them to own these skills.
Personally, I found the book very easy to follow, though I did choose to supplement the book with some personal sessions. Since the author truly owns this information, and since I wanted to learn it really well, and since she is available for private teaching... well, I thought it was a really good use of my time and money.
It did take some years for my appreciation of Skilled Empath Merge to ripen. I always thought it was important, but now I appreciate more how amazing it is and how much it helps me to evolve and solve some of the mysteries of human life.
