For six months, Madeline Granger has been overwhelmed by an almost magnetic pull that has kept her on the road, traveling all over the Midwest and erotically dreaming of two men… her lion kings. When she wakes up in Kansas, just outside the perimeter of a traveling carnival, it miraculously feels like coming home. But after she meets the two men who shouldn’t exist outside her own mind, it’s hard for her to reconcile that her dream lovers are two very real and sexy men, not imaginary. All she knows for certain is she wants them both.
Adam Michael’s and his brother Cage, both lion-shifters, not only run Pantheros & Co Carnival, they are the stars. Making a home for his crew of misfits and outcasts was Adam’s dream. Cage was his most desperate rescue, and after a profound loss, Adam worries that Cage’s grief will drive him toward a brutality he can’t come back from.
The last thing either lion-shifter expected was Madeline Granger. She might be the answer to Adam’s prayers, in more ways than one, if he can get Cage to look past his pain. But, can Adam and Cage see Madeline as more than a substitute Clary? And can Madeline rescue two Kings drowning in their own sorrow?
Maddie might want The Lion Kings to rule her body, but is she strong enough to rule their hearts.
About Renee: USA Today Bestselling author Renee George writes paranormal mysteries and romances because she loves all things whodunit, Otherworldly, and weird. Also, she wishes her pittie, the adorable Kona Princess Warrior, and her beagle, Josie the Incontinent Princess, could talk. Or at least be more like Scooby-Doo and help her unmask villains at the haunted house up the street.
When she’s not writing about mystery-solving werecougars or the adventures of a hapless psychic living among shapeshifters, she is preyed upon by stray kittens who end up living in her house because she can't say no to those sweet, furry faces. (Someone stop telling them where she lives!)
She resides in Mid-Missouri with her family and spends her non-writing time doing really cool stuff...like watching TV and cleaning up dog poop.

Madeline has never felt safe, secure or normal. She was a sleepwalker, and for the last 6 months after meeting a carnival psychic a drifter. She felt a pull, had dreams and felt a desire burning inside her even though she was a virgin.
All of this stopped though when Maddie met her KINGS. Join her journey. Meet her within the pages of Renee's stories and fall in love with the majestic writing that unfolds!
The series is well written, the characters are full of life and my excitement can not be contained!! LOVE THIS SERIES!!!

This was an out of this world series and all in one book Wooohoooo!
Madeline is tired of being called "Mad Maddie", even her parents are kind of weary of her, so she decides to get in her car and take off for parts unknown...Something is pulling her forward, but she has no idea what it could be.
Adam and Cage are still getting over the loss of their lover Carly and don't think they will ever find another to take her place. In walks Madeline and something feels right to Adam, but Cage doesn't want to accept that.
Not until they lose her do they come to realize that they may just have lost their one true Queen.
Will they be able to get her back and will Madeline accept them now that she knows that they are Lion Shifters, or will betrayal separate them forever?
Lots of intrigue, betrayal and passion in this spellbinding story. I highly recommend this book to all shifter fans.
I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review.
I had the pleasure of reading an Arc of The Lion Kings for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book. The lion shifters were a new concept for me and the author captured their magnificence and their dominance brilliantly throughout the story. Both Adam and Cage will thrill you all the way, making you wish it was you on the receiving end of their passion. I never expected the twist in the story, in fact I jumped to the wrong conclusion. What can I say, I sincerely hope Ms. Renee George will give us more about these amazing characters.
A ROARING GREAT READ !!! The Lion Kings (The Complete Novel) is the amazing newest release from Renee George and it totally rocks! George has once again dazzled her readers with her extraordinary talent, incredible imagination, unmatched skill and unique style. I absolutely loved this as a series and was over the moon to see its release as a complete novel. The story is exciting, original, mysterious, compelling, gripping, riveting, thrilling, arousing, sensual, and steamy! And oh so hot! The dialog is smart, well written and flows effortlessly. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging, intriguing, imaginative and sexy. Two handsome lion shifters, Adam and Cage, brothers by choice rather than by birth, struggle to overcome crippling loss and grief, both attracted to the mysterious, enticing Madeline. But both men are tied to the past and the mysterious death of their female, Clary. Although they were never mated with Clary, both Adam and Cage loved her dearly. But Adam could see that the lovely Madeline could very well be their queen and the answer to his prayers, if only Cage could see past his pain. Beautiful, curvy Madeline is running from her past and her visions. Her nightly erotic dreams of two loving sexy men haunt her, torture and torment her until she succumbs to the strange desire to leave her home in search of relief from the prison of her mind. Madeline knows she is searching for acceptance and for something she just can't quite recognize, yet she understands, that when she finds it, it will change her life. Or so she hopes.....Her path is filled with unseen danger and unsuspected enemies with murderous intent. Will her visions and the love of the Lion Kings be enough to save her? Danger and plot twists abound! Two sexy lion shifters-check! Beautiful courageous heroine-check! A circus of wonderful characters-check! Mystery, murder, suspense and arousing sex-check! Oh, and did I mention a steamy ménage a trois? Oh yeah! Hubba! Hubba! This story is much more than a piece of fluff! It is a powerful and compelling story about true love, fated mates, murder, mystery, suspense and intrigue with a cast of wonderful and engaging characters. A beautiful and powerful love story! Such wonderful entertainment! I am officially a fan!
This is my first book I've read from Renee, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I LOVED IT! Thank goodness I've read it all in the complete set, I'm not sure I could have waited between each serial release date. I found the book sexy, passionate, exciting & full of action, what a pleasure to read. Renee's descriptions & details for her characters, including their pasts, left me feeling a part of the story.
6 months prior to the start of this book Madeline met Madame Devine the psychic at the Patheros & Co Carnival whilst it was at her town. Something starts that night & Madeline feels herself being pulled, the need to travel & follow the pull no matter what. Not only does she have this pull but is also having the most erotic dreams of 2 men.... her Lion Kings, not that she understands the meaning. Madeline has always been set apart from others in her home town, never quite feeling that she belongs or quite whole, her sleep walking & dreams never helped the matter either.
Adam & brother Cage both run the carnival full of big-cat shifters, that Adam has saved over the years. Both are stuggling after the death of Clary or Madame Devine 6 months ago. They never expected Madeline to arrive or to feel the pull towards her. They feel guilty for wanting her & try to keep her away....
Can they decide if they want Madeline as their Queen before she leaves?? What happened to Madame Devine/Clary??? Can Medeline figure out what her dreams mean??
The ending arrived before I expected it to, but in saying that I sped through the book, it was such an enjoyable read. I'll be keeping my eye's peeled for any shifter books from Renee in the future.
Madeline has always been different since she hit purebred and because of this she is considered a freak in her small town so she decides to leave and find out what life is all about. One night she goes sleepwalking and comes across a circus and there she sees Adam and Cage two performers and feels and instant connection to them. Adam and Cage lost their mate six months ago and are still trying to get over their loss. Adam sees Maddie as the one who will bring me out of their depression and will complete their bonding, but Cage doesn't believe that she is not the one because they lost their mate, even though he feels attracted to Maddie. Cage tries everything to keep her at arms length but Maddie refuses to let him do so. Can Maddie break through Cage's wall or will his stubbornness keep the three of them apart. There is also a mystery about what happened to their first mate with a twist I never saw coming.
I received a copy of this book for a honest review..
Wow, what a great read. I personally was mad because my minions kept interrupting me reading. {sigh} This story is set place in the sixties, with a traveling carnival called Panther is & Co. Carnival. Run by a range of feline shifters, but managed by a dreamy duo of Adam and Cage Michael's, both Lion shifters and co-alpha's. Madeline Granger, a wandering soul that is being drawn to this carnival and those dreamy Lion Kings. Maddie's plague in life is that she has the gift of site: within tranches or sleeping experiences scenes of the past, which leads her to be a loner and limit her contact with people. What is it about Adam and Gage that draws her? Why are they the star of her dreams for six months? Can Adam and Cage move past their grieving past lover and keep Maddie at their sides, even when it's apparent that someone doesn't want her there? There's plenty of mystery and drama, this is a must read!
I received a copy of the Lion Kings Part 1 from the author the only thing I was asked was to give an honest review: This is what I found.
I was captivated from the beginning of the story and could not put it down. I really enjoyed the way the author began the story and kept my interest through out. The story has loss, love, extreme emotions, shifters, circus performers and a clairvoyant. I really loved all the twists and turns. It had steamy sex scenes to peak your interest. I can't wait to jump into reading book 2. I definately recommend this story to others if you take a chance at reading it I believe you will fall in love with the Lion Kings.
I was given this ARC for an honest review. I love paranormal stories. This is a beautiful written story about a set of lion kings that lose the love of the woman that heals and calms them. Not their true mate. This story has it all the heartache, grieving, love, happiness, and second chance at love with their true mate. Can they over come the betrayal of someone close to them? This story is a must read. It is a MFM story .
Oh my, what an excellent menage this book is. This is my first time to read Renee' George and I will say she has done a great job. You can feel the pull Madeline feels as you embark on her journey. And wow two hot alpha male shifters and talk about hot panty melting sex when they finally mate. This book is a must read, with a steam level of 5.
I have read a few shifter books but this one was pleasantly different. I mean, come on, they were big cats!! The story was sweet and seductive and exciting and I never wanted it to end! I'm so glad I was introduced to Renee's work and will most definitely be reading more of her books in the future.
The Lion Kings follows this woman named Madeline Granger who is a sort of psychic where she sees the past. She has been having dreams about this two guys Adam and Cage and has been restless for about 6 months going from town to town.
When she gets to a small town in Kansas and near the carnival, this Restless feeling she's been having goes away. And it is then she realized that the men she's been having dreams about are real.
I really liked the story and the development of the characters and the Mystery of the death of Clary. That last one had me guessing at every turn and still, I wasn't able to figure out who was responsible or why until the very end.
What I was a little bit skeptical about in this book was the connection between Clary and Madeline. More than once I thought that the brothers we're replacing Clary with Madeline.
Aside from that, it was a really fast and cute story and if you like paranormal romance I recommend this one to you.
Great story! Interesting how Maddie is pulled to her lion kings and how things unfold once she finds them. A great short story for a quick read! Hunky dudes, shy heroine, bad girls and the baddies get their comeuppance! The good guys win as always and am glad to say Maddie turns out to be quite a strong woman in mind and spirit. Look forward to another book maybe learning about what happens to Zara as she grows older and a few of the other carnies too. Will also look forward to hearing about those youngins Maddie, Cage and Adam produce....will they move out of the carnival? Will they find their mates or trifecta? Or will they look for a new way of life? Questions questions... patiently waiting for answers! =) I received this as an ARC in exchange for my review...Enjoy!
The plot and characters are good, but tbh the heroine pisses me off many times. She's very judgemental and narrow-minded, and often comes across as rude. The previous love interest (Clary/Madame Divine) was a much better heroine imho. Maddie is just a hypocrite; she is very quick to judge the circus members and get angry at the tiniest bits (and these traits can NOT be defined as sexy feisty ffs). I mean, hello? You ran away from home bc people started calling you Mad Maddie, why can't you be more compassionate towards unique people?? And ffs you ARE in a circus!! What do you expect? A tea party? She is by nowhere strong or bold as mentioned by the heroes. She's selfish and bratty
1 star for the heroes and other characters, esp for Clary and Alice. yeah you read that right
Dream man. She keeps dreaming of the man--men. Right there are two of them in her dreams. For some reason the pull is so strong it pulls her to actually drive in a direction where the pull gets stronger until she meets up with them in her waking life. Two, hot men. One wants her. The other not so much.
Even though he acts as though he doesn't want her, he doesn't want the pain of losing her. It happened before and he's never recovered.
The story of the three fighting to make their triad complete is touching and steamy. One not to miss.
This had an interesting setting. I loved the circus in the 1920s. It was unique and intriguing. I also found the way she handled shifters to be interesting. Those things kept me reading. The pace and the plot fell a bit short, and toward the middle of the book, I lost interest. This was a DNF for me.
The Lion Kings by Renee George- this is an interesting menage story. The story is set in the 1960’s and follows Maddie along her journey from outsider to mate of the Lion Kings, Adam and Cage. There are some unexpected twists and interesting characters plus steamy sexy times. I recommend this book.
Wow! This book is so HOT! Renee outdid herself with her storytelling! This book ticks all the boxes – great storyline, interesting twists, major heat factor, compelling characters – just WOW! This book is not for the faint-hearted. I love that the plot is complex and the book is not just about all the steamy menage action!
The Hs are lion shifters, grieving loss of their mate. The h has a condition, and during black outs she sees their lives during black outs. Interesting circus characters, they solve the mystery about who killed their mate. A good story,YA feel.
I had the privilege of reading The Lion Kings by Renee George. It is about a hot ménage a trios between shifters. Can the female choose just one to satisfy her needs? Once again the author manages to combine her love for shifters in this paranormal fantasy. A fun read.
A very solid story and character development. There were a few glitches but not enough to pull itdown to a 3 star. It is perhaps a 3.75, an enjoyable, engaging read.
A very different paranormal story, Renee George has done a masterful job of mixing elements of the paranormal world. She has blended the world of shifters with that of a psychic. Her use of flash-back dreams was beautifully done.
The story is about Madeline, a very different girl, tormented and teased by her home town. She thinks her psychic dreams are just that, dreams. But for the last 6 months she’s been having dreams about two men, very hot sweaty dreams. And wanderlust has hit her so off on a road trip she goes. Not stopping till she runs into a circus show. And there she finds the two men of her dreams, Adam and Cage. She is instantly drawn to them as they are to her. But they've just lost the love of their lives, is there room for Madeline?
I loved the secondary cast of characters. How much fun can you have writing the bearded lady and the strong man? And when they are shifters as well, lots! The cast of characters were wary yet welcoming of Madeline and caring of Adam and Cage.
I’m glad I read this as a complete novel rather than in the serial installments. I would have never been able to wait for the next part. Now while I enjoyed this story immensely I do feel that there could have been more depth to the story. Incidences from all of the character’s pasts were mentioned but not in great detail. This was a fast read for me, done in one read. I did wish that there had been a bit more to the story. Even so, I did enjoy the story and was glad I got the chance to read it.
I would like to thank the author for the copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An awesome book that will keep you on your tows with strong emotions ,shifter and a mystery that needs to be resolved!
I read this book in serial format, one book at a time, and loved every single second. The first book hooked me with it’s intriguing story line. Come on, who doesn’t love a lion shifter…. and we've get two! Awesome hunks of lioness aside, the unique personalities of the three main characters blend and complement each other well. Their chemistry sizzles, and the story flows smoothly. I gave each of these books, together and separately – 5 coffee cups (better than stars). A first for me with a serial.
And now for those who don’t have the patience for the serial format, Renee has released the complete novel. With all the suspense and intrigue of a serial, without the wait. That’s what I call ‘best of both worlds’.
Maddie is strong and spunky with an open heart, and Adam and Cage complete the trio. I love these guys. I now have an autographed print version of the book, and between the ebooks and the print version have read their story seven times. I wouldn't be surprised for that number to reach the double digits soon. This book rocks.
Madeline Granger has always felt alone but lately the pull to roam and her dreams are making her feel like her taunting childhood nickname Mad Maddie. When she wakes in Kansas and stumbles into a traveling carnival she finally feels at home.
This was an enjoyable and entertaining read with lots of gratifying scenes to keep you panting. There are two sexy shifters to keep you captivated and an interesting world to escape to. I'm very glad that this was the full book , episodes are not my cup of tea.
This was a fast paced Erotic Paranormal MFM Romance with lots of steam!
I recently read book 1 of the Lion Kings, and at the end I knew I wanted to find the rest of the books. When I seen the full novel on sale I grabbed it up quick am so glad I did!!
What do you get when you have a carnival, s sleep walking psychic, and lions? I guess you'll have to read this Purrrrringly yummy book to find out won't you? :)
You get it all in this book... love, mystery, and lots of twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages until the very end! Great job Renee!!! :)
I have to say first of all is thatThe Lion Kings by Renee George is awesome ! I had not read anything from this author before and I must say I will be reading more from her I hope soon ! The Lion Kings earn d a solid 5 stars due to the story and the POV's . I have read some other reviews about how the story bogged at time , for myself I did not find this to be the case ! I hope Ms George keeps writing such books !
