Interesting story about the digestive system, and I think most children beyond third grade or so would be able to understand most of it, although not remember everything. It was short on color photos, and only one photo of a person (cartoon-type) showing the digestive system. Nothing was labeled. Better maybe with the digestive system labeled, and in color, and the individual parts, esophagus, stomach, etc., shown and labeled, as they were discussed. The cartoons could also be there, and off-set the more serious educational parts. Otherwise, a good start for kids at the explanation of their digestive system.
