Lairis concludes the story of Omroku and Rochelle in this third part to this short story shifter series. While I enjoyed the tug-of-war between the couple, as well as Chelle's emotional growth in this third installment, the ending left me wanting to know what would happen next. It would be nice to know how Chelle, Omroku's human lover, manages in his world of money, power, and water shifters. The reason for Chelle's need for so much control and lack of faith in men is finally revealed. Again, I wanted a little bit more here, especially since the event had such a psychological impact on her. I guess, however, that's the nature of these types of short stories. Overall, this is a sexy, fun short story series.
