It seems like each book in the series ups the ante on the intensity of the situation. Book 2 was a doozy and this one? Well, some painful sacrifices must be made to stop a demon

and restore peace to their town. Our heroine Michelle, being such a powerful young witch, has to face off and take on tremendous danger and some seriously terrifying battles. But

her compassion is strong and she does not back down from a call for help. Destiny has set her on a path and Michelle meets it head-on.

I have already reviewed the audiobook in previous reviews of this trilogy, so let me just summarize. The audiobook narrator is male, and the main character is female, but the

voices worked well for me after I got a chance to get used to the narrator. I really enjoyed his voices for each character, especially his voice for Elron. We get a few chapters

from Elron's POV in this book too, and it is interesting getting a shift in who is telling the story, even if intermittent.

I'm curious to see what happens next for Michelle and her friends, but I'm glad this third book wrapped up the major story arc from the first two books.

This book picks up right where book 2 lets off and the story gets more and more exciting. N.E. Conneely blends real world characters and fantasy world characters seamlessly and it is done so well that it feels natural.

Jeff Hays' narration is exciting and as perfectly flowing as it was in the first 2 books in this series.

Not only is Michelle dealing with the threat of the demon, and the variety of threats that are posed by him, she is also dealing with hassle from magical clans who have discovered her strength and desire for her to join their clan.

Michelle starts to acknowledged that she is changed by the horror that she has recently faced. She will not back down from a threat, she will do all she can to protect the good from the bad.

Other new characters and their pivotal roles add real substance to the story.

The ending of this book is amazing, you won't be dissapointed and that is all I will say about it as I don't like creating spoilers

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Jeff Hays. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

How does one kill a demon?

This book sucks you in. If you read the first two already you’ll probably speed through this one with all the drama and demon problems going on. Not to mention the clans who are now trying to get Michelle’s attention and want them to join her ranks.

I was so excited when I saw the 3rd book was out! Thankfully it didn't disappoint. I was a little worried towards the end know there wasn't much time left and still so much for the MC's to get done! I am always terrified there will be a major cliffhanger, oh thank you thank you for not leaving the major plot lines (and myself) hanging off a giant cliff over a bottomless abyss of despair. There are some questions that have not been answered and things that will need to be resolved, but great job moving the story forward and keeping interesting questions for future books.

As always, I love Michelle and Elron. The only thing I would ask is for more chapters from Elron's POV. I understand why there weren't, but I was still wishing for more. They are in the middle of a terrible situation and were able to be supportive friends without the angst and ridiculous drama that is so often included in stories, movies, life. Elron is much stronger and more sure of himself than where he was at in book 1. They have started to build a solid foundation and are handling the set backs quite well considering.

I also enjoyed the addition of Julius, gargoyle, to the lodge crew and the developing relationship with her father. I like how he takes things in stride regarding the dangerous situations she gets into. He helps her without giving her a guilt trip or falling apart...cough cough like her mom.

I can't really write any more without giving away a million spoilers....... except to say I can't wait to read more about her kicking obnoxious clan witch ass!

Fantastic altruistic, grumpy young Witch...

Fantastic altruistic, grumpy young Witch...possible relationship with sarcastic, handsome, Older...
Young Michelle Oaks (Police Consultant) is racially a Witch. Her Mother ran away from the Clan with Michelle, when she was just a baby, to protect her from their controlling, manipulative ways. Now, Michelle is an extremely powerful Witch and all of the Clans want her, regardless of what SHE desires. Meanwhile, her dearests are an older elf, the Forest Spirit, a Vampire, a flock of Gargoyles, a Brownie, a Human-looking Cop who has tentacles for fingers and a T-rex-- among others. The first 3 books in this series are entertaining good fun! There are always at least 3-plot lines going toward their individual, and then MAJOR Climax. It's just fun!

great series

Have read the entire series....great character development, sub stories woven well into the main plot with the promise of more to come.

The books could use some closer text/copy editing as there were multiple spelling errors. However, it didn't stop me from completely enjoying the three part read. Uplifting, good human values like Tolerance and the greater good, I highly recommend this series to any reader.

A satisfying addition to the series

I really enjoy Ms. Connelly's Witch series. She has created an intriguing world that parallels our own but is also peopled with all the creatures of legend. Who wouldn't laugh at the pink T-Rex in the yard? I love the concept of a witch who consults with police departments to handle paranormal creatures and situations. Her characters are interesting and multi-dimensional. I will wait patiently for the next book!

Enjoyable Reads

I enjoyed all of these books, some editing errors. My chief complaint would be too many mundane tasks being repeated over and over. Food and tea, are constantly repeated as well as not enough secondary character backgrounds. Still a good read, each book tied to the one before well. This writer has great potential.

4.5 Stars! Northern Georgia’s resident witch, Michelle, is back for her next adventure, with more magic and intensity to spare.

Summary:
Michelle Oaks’s life has been chaotic lately, and if her suspicions are correct, it won’t be boring or sedate any time soon. She’s battled a sorceress, captured trolls, and confronted an insane werewolf, but those were a cakewalk compared to what she may be up against. If she’s reading the many different cases right, despite them being thought dead for centuries, a demon is walking the land. When she pulls an old book out of the fire, her suspicions are confirmed. To make matters worse, the demon is focused on Michelle, determined to get revenge for ruining some of his plans. With demons being more myth and legend than reality in this time, the key to defeating them seems lost. The book didn’t only inform Michelle and team to a demon, though. It also acknowledged the return of someone from Elron’s past. This development puts the budding relationship between Michelle and Elron to be put on a bit of a hiatus as Elron deals with feelings of guilt and love. Overwhelming heartbreak and determination ride Michelle hard as she searches for a way to keep her family and friends safe from the worst evil she’s ever seen. Can she rediscover the secrets to killing demons and give everyone the happily-ever-after they deserve?

*************************
Every book I read in this series seems to get better and better. I have liked Michelle from the beginning, and each book gives me more reasons to adore her. She has a calming strength about her that draws people in. She has her fair share of fears and weariness, but when it counts, she steps up and gives of herself, most times to her detriment, in order to help others. There really isn’t one thing I don’t like about Michelle. She cares deeply, can be funny, and her magic, both amount and execution, is absolutely amazing. As the books progress, Elron becomes a bigger contributor, and I’m loving it. The romance is sweet and he and Michelle fit well together. I can’t say that I don’t like how he treats Michelle either. He’s gentle, somewhat outdated in tradition, but displays a perfect hint of an alpha male’s protective and possessive personality. I also like getting Elron’s POV. He often sees things in a unique perspective, and the idea of him being Called and what that means, is fascinating. I only wish there was more. Overall, watching Michelle prepare for one of the hardest jobs she’s ever undertaken, ramped up my anticipation and interest. The storyline is a blend of story arcs from the previous two books, and the start of new arcs that will be continued in future books. I like this because we get resolutions, but are also left wanting more without it being a major cliffhanger. The supporting cast was okay. For the most part, I enjoy everyone we meet that Michelle works with. My only big issue is Michelle’s parents. They can aggravate me very easily. I hate that they expect transparency from their grown child, while not issuing the same respect in turn. Instead they hide under the excuse of protecting her, but only put her in more danger by not giving her information she needs to stay safe, IMO. That said, her dad is more understanding and accepting than her mom. NE Conneely never fails to keep me entranced with my eReader, and she has given us a fantastic heroine in Michelle. A Witch’s Trial, open’s Michelle’s world to an abundance of potential, and I can’t wait to see where her path leads, both as a witch and with Elron. ♡

Know any witches who would be willing to join the police force to keep back the evil and vile supernatural creatures from the light of day? What about any vampires, werewolves, unicorns, or trolls? This supernaturally charged second installment is highly entertaining, mysterious, and growing in paranormal suspense! Conneely has written a series, filled with humans and magical creatures who can both live simultaneously in the same place and still know who each other really is. That is very original and unlike the typical “keep it a secret from humankind”. In this third installment, the reader learns more about Elron and his past life with the wife that he presumed was lost forever.

Michelle is having trouble deciphering the book that Sylvia dropped as the demon fled the werewolf’s lair. She knows that she can’t battle a demon, an evil that has been passed down as legend for centuries, without the help from this book and Elron. Since the book a direct account of his mate’s life after her presumed passing, Elron struggles to come to terms with the fact that he has failed her allowing a demon to possess her body for several years. Once he can surpass those feelings, will he be able to figure out what his mate wanted to relay to them? Can he help Michelle unlock the secrets of how to kill a demon? With so many things pulling Michelle in different directions, including her new popularity among the clans…she could use all the help that she can get.

Conneely has a superb story-line and wonderful character development in this third installment. The continuation flows perfectly from the previous installments. The characters are snarky, mysterious, humorous, and most importantly magically-inclined. The pace is very fast and provides a sense of thrill and urgency to the story, but not in a bad or harsh way. Since this was an audiobook that was provided, the flow of the story was terrific and the story seems to be well-written in order to flow as well as it does. Hays is virtually impeccable with his audio relay talent. This narrator makes this story come to life, more so than imagery that the readers can come up with through description alone.

A copy of this book was provided to Turning Another Page by the Audiobookworm Promotions, but this in no way affects our honest opinion of the book or the review that has been written. We provide a five-star rating for A Witch’s Path by N.E. Conneely.

Actual star score is 4.25.
Michelle has been working hard and hasn't had much time for her girlfriend’s or anyone else, but she has gotten closer as a friend to Elron. Though he's not sure if it's just friendship he wants or something else.
Things in the towns she works with have gotten bad, it seems like evil is moving in. Then one of Michelle's best friends, who was having some trouble is kidnapped. Working on getting her back from the werewolves who took her exposes how powerful she is. Thus causing all the different Witch's clans to bombard her with requests, down to direct orders, to come join them. But for now the clans will have to wait, when she rescues her friend from the werewolves, she finds out a demon has taken up residence and is using Silvia, Elrons supposedly dead wife as the body he inhabits. Occasionally, usually when Michelle is dreaming, and when Gremory (the demons name) is busy elsewhere, Silvia can send her messages. The first important one is to make sure that she gets the book that has important information in it. But can she trust a woman who has been being used by a demon, even if she is Elrons not dead wife and an elf. After getting the book, she begins to think that sometimes she can trust Silvia, especially when the book tells Michelle that she must figure out how to kill the demon, even if that means that she has to kill Silvia too. But can Michelle bring herself to committing what she looks at as murder.
Though I dropped a spoiler or two there is much more in the book. I would have scored it higher but there's just a few small things that caused me to drop my score. I'm not going to get into them, they might be things that won't bother others, but possibly if they continue to happen in follow up books(possibly they are part of the authors writing style), I will mention them. On to the next book in the series.

This was the final audiobook in this incredible boxed book series and by far the best!

In this story, an old diary that Michelle finds confirms some of their worst fears and a lost love. A demon was walking the land! Not only is there a demon but Elron (who has become more than just a friend to Michelle) finds out that his mate/wife never really died like he was led to believed. The diary that Michelle finds confirms that the demon has taken over his mate. This puts Elron through a wide arrange of emotions from guilt to anger to self hate. How could he have not protected his mate and partner? And had he cheated on her with his feelings for Michelle?

Michelle also struggles with this new-found knowledge. She feels strongly for Elron and the pain that this has caused him hurts her just as deeply. On top of this, the clans are all fighting for her to join them. She has strong feelings against this, feeling betrayed by the way they had treated her parents. I loved watching her relationship with her Father deepen throughout the audiobooks. He becomes her teacher, her guide and her buffer when she has to tells her Mother bad news!

This final audiobook in this boxed set was incredible. I loved the plot, the back and forth view points between Michelle and Elron and the exciting new characters (who wouldn't want a pet t-rex?). I enjoyed each of the books in this set but this was definitely my favourite. We learned a lot about Michelle (her strength, her kind heart and her fearlessness) and even Elron - who I never would have guessed would have become such a major player in this series! This will be a well-loved series for the supernatural fans and adults and youth alike.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Jeff Hays. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

A Witch's Trial is the third book in A Witch's Path series. I listened to Witch for Hire and A Witch's Path in the past couple of weeks. I've enjoyed listening to these books and look forward to reading or listening to more in the series.

Michelle continues to face supernatural problems when called by police departments. The more publicity she gets, the more offers she gets to join clans. Some of the offers are more like threats if she doesn't join. Once in a while Michelle seems a bit whiny but she has a right to with all that is on her plate.

On top of all that, there's a demon on the loose. Everyone thought demons were a myth or that they were all gone many years ago but they were wrong. Michelle and Elron know they need to find a way to kill the demon but it's been hundreds, maybe thousands, of years so how could there be anyone still alive to tell them what they need to know?

The narrator is amazing. I originally thought it was two people narrating but it's just one. He does a great job doing both male and female voices.

A Witch's Trial is full of excitement, action, heartbreak, and fantasy.

entertaining paranormal urban fantasy series

This is an entertaining paranormal urban fantasy series. A great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Michelle Oak is a witch. In her world most witches belong to which clans. However her grandmother was not a very nice person Norwich and her mother left her coven to go find Her her own way. Her mother didn’t like the fact that her mother became a healer in a human hospital. She also fell in love with someone else outside the clan and your mother did not approve. So her grandmother kicked her out of the clan. Her mother ended up becoming pregnant and had a baby. That baby is Michelle and her parents have hid her from her grandmother since her birth. Otherwise her grandmother would try And take control of them again. Michelle is a very powerful which even by normal which standards. She was born with a mark that very few witches have. She has a destiny to fulfill. A great number of plans or trying to get her to join their clans including her grandmothers. She works for a number of police departments in the area around Atlanta Georgia. Closer to northern Georgia. she takes care of paranormal issues for these different jurisdictions. She is acquiring allies as she moves through her job and in her battles against evil. This is an action packed and very entertaining series to read. Check it out

Witch's Trial is the 3rd book in the A Witch's Path series by N E Conneely. This book picks up where book 2 leaves off. I have to admit it was not my favorite of the 3 books, I am actully giving this book a 3 1/2 stars. This book was not as action packed as the other 2 and well Michelle was pretty whiny in this book. She has always been tough and a whiny Michelle just didn't set well with me. The book did give a lot of backstory to the other 2 books though. It was nice to know how things more or less started to some of the open ended story lines in books 1 and 2. Elron does finally get his place as co-star in the series.

In this book Michelle is getting invitations from covens all over and some of them are down right pushy. Michelle and the gang are gearing up to go after the Grimoree. Elron and Michelle are getting closer even with the newfound knowledge that his wife Sylvia is still alive but also knowing that she must die.

I have enjoyed this series even if this was not my favorite of the 3. I will be looking for more books buy N E Conneely as well.

I was given my copy of this book for review purposes from AudiobookWorm and the Author.

Finally, a demon

3.5

It's better than the first cause we see the demon and deal with things directly connecting to our main lady. Michelle is an.... Interesting person. Not usually the soft or warm hearted, overtaxed heroine I'm used to. She put me off at times with all the boundaries and limits she set for herself and the world. On one hand seeming practical or heartless, cautious or cowardly, indifferent or close to being overwhelmed.

She wasn't BAD. But she didn't do a lot of things I'd prefer or agree with. But I liked the differences she represented, the actions she challenged me to accept.

The clans REALLY upset me so I was a little disappointed that they weren't in here, but they're hinted to be a big deal in the next one and that's what makes me want to read it. Her thing with Elron is a little tiring by this point cause he's bringing things up already laid to rest. Like get over it. But I love the support so I'm nog entirely upset. Honestly, I don't think I'd have gone this far in the series if this weren't on Kindle Unlimited but it IS and I am too curious not to see what happens next.

Life is not getting easier for Michelle. A book that was picked up during Ambers’ rescue is actually a diary written by Elrons’ wife, who he thought was dead, it seems she was captured by a demon and has been used by him ever since.
Everyone thinks demons are gone but obviously not, now they have to find the information on how to kill one. The knowledge from the ancient demon hunters is almost impossible to locate without a hunter.
There is also the problem of the witch clans who now want to have Michelle join them, no matter what she says.
When Elron gets a hint from one of his plants, he discovers Verro, the last remaining hunter.
While working on demon rituals and getting rid of the clan requests, there isn’t much time to relax.
There is a lot going on in this book, emotions, relationships, magic, new characters, family interactions and more.
Each one of the above evolves and grows in each book.
It’s not a quick, easy read but it is a good read. Still fairly easy to read but a little darker than some.
Definitely a series I’m going to continue.

N. E. Conneely is a meticulous writer. Her books are an absolute pleasure to read. Seriously, the joy of reading a book that is so well crafted technically and so interesting is euphoric. Most books either have a great story line but are quite lacking in sentence structure, grammar, etc., or they are very precise and very boring. These books raise the bar for other stories. Conneely achieves both. The characters are so complex and strong, the situations seem plausible given the specific world, and tension is held until the absolute last moment. The reader knows what has to happen, but will it? and how will it? This is a fantastic book, and I am looking forward to purchasing and devouring the next one. BTW - I love Ty!

A Witch's Trial (4)

Wow, somehow this series is getting better, there is Demon, it's heading for Michelle. It's using 2 hosts, a man and a woman. The woman is well known to one of her friends. The news about her has gotten to the witches too, so they are all approaching her to join them. Then there's the gremlins and...... there is just so much, it's fantastic and there's still 3 more. I'm off for book 4, can't wait to see what happens in this one

Excellent Story

Michelle and Elron faced doe the demon and freed Sylvia from his clutches. It was a gut wrenching experience yet the have emerged stronger. The clans and Michelle's arrogant and possibly crazy grandmother want to draw her into their clan. How will the clan react after their attempted kidnapping fail? Hopefully we will get answers in the next book of this captivating series.

Demons aren't all gone

Michelle has some very difficult cases in this book. Some downright weird. Her parents told her to day away from clans, but now they are inviting her and her grandmother has sent multiple messages. Oh, then there's the demon, threatening Michelle. And some very interesting magical happenings.

Still a good series!

I like this book. Had to love how they took care of the demon. The witch's seem to just be a royal pain to every one. Also seems like Michelle's mothers clan is going to be a problem later.

Loved this book though!
