Norm knew it was going to be one of those days when he went to the toilet, just for something to do. . . But things can only get better, right? WRONG! If only Brian and Dave hadn't found Dad's million year old after shave. If only Mikey wasn't feeling lower than a snake's backside. If only Chelsea would hurry up and move! It's all ifs and buts though. Or should that be whiffs and butts? Either way it's just so flipping unfair! The eighth hilarious title in this award-winning, laugh-out-loud series. For fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and David Walliams.
Norm, a young boy of nearly 13, always gets into trouble. Norm thinks that because he gets in trouble so much that it is “flipping unfair.” The book tells about a lot of events in his life and he almost always gets in trouble.
Book eight of the World of Normand more humorous encounters and adventures for clueless Norm as his schemes always seem to backfire on him, and he has no idea why! Another great read, this will be my last Norm book for a while, I will return to finish the series at some point in the future, but its time for a Norm break. Norm would be saying Gordon flipping Bennett!
This book is nice and humorous because this book is very unfair to the kid and it is very enjoyable, (even better than wimpy kids.) I highly recommend this book.
I really, really wanted to like this book, but, I just couldn't. I don't really know what it was about, the friends parents arguing, but actually mum was having driving lessons? A girl who was Norm's annoying neighbour? Norm's annoying brothers? Unfair punishment? General teenage hormones? 'Flippin' was used too much as well I think. It all felt very much like Horrid Henry. I didn't give up and read the whole book, hoping that it would change my mind. It didn't. Sorry, this wasn't for me.
