The explanatory introduction for this very interesting book almost matches the excellence of the cover art. A man decked with feathers walking, as it seems, down an ocean stairway. Evolution, in material and non-material terms from a 12th century Arab Andalusian. An island castaway's careful scientific examination of the physical world leading to an encounter with a higher sphere.
