What would you do if you woke up, alone, on the side of an empty road, during the worst storm the country has seen in a decade, with no memory of how you got there?

What would do if you knew someone or something was missing, but you didn't know who or what?

Where would you go?
Who would help you?
How far would you go to find out the truth?

For Marilyn, the nightmare is just about to begin.

Loved this debut novel by a thrilling and imaginative author. The story is fast paced, exciting and leaves you guessing what will happen next with it's tantalising PAge-turning storyline. The language is evocative, it contains excellent imagery and has a fantastic series of character development throughout the storyline. It is a creative and mysterious plot, which lures the reader into wonder and awe of the character's survival and ambition to get what they want - justice!

Marilyn has all the characteristics of a great thriller; suspense, intrigue and characters you actually care about. A skilfully crafted debut that you won't want to put down!

I read this book as a friend of mine was promoting it as the authors friend. Its an interesting story with a well laid out plot no twists or surprises that you would normally get from a book like this but it made for a quick, enjoyable and easy read. It is very descriptive so makes you feel like your actually in the story or seeing it in front of you playing out on the tv. For a first novel its great but i do feel that it missed out on being proof read correctly as they are quite a few errors in words and grammar. The other thing i picked up on is in chapter 60 O'Sullivan loses his gun states "out of arms reach" then in chapter 61 he is "cleaning the gunk from the butt" nothing saying he reached over for it or retrieved it. I may just be being a bit picky but things like this do stand out to me like there is part of the story missing. I would read a story from this author again i would even re read this novel if it was rewritten without the mistakes.

Quite a good book, I did get caught up in the drama of it but there were no surprises and of course, a happy ending. Quite a few typos and too much swearing, which is why I only gave it four stars.

Absorbing story

A well written tale that gets more involved with graphic details and visual detail that puts you in the scene.

Not very well thought out and all very predictable. Characters very wooden with no real flow to the story. Ending way longer than needed to be.

Poorly written with very weak storyline. Not very imaginative and very long drawn out. Characters not very believable and typical
