In a blizzard on Slash-C ranch land, Jack Ralston is making his way home when he comes across a station wagon stuck in a ditch. Investigating, he finds a very pregnant woman about to have a baby. It's up to him to do something. No way would an ambulance get down the road, so he calls for help from one of the ranch hands and then delivers the baby himself. To say Jack is a loaner is a great understatement, but Valerie Trimarco finds a kind soul in Jack as he helps her through the most significant moment in her life. A few years later, Valerie and her little girl Addie return to surprise Jack with a thank you party—one she plans to blog about in her wildly popular mommy blog. A party and publicity are the last things Jack wants, though for years he's tracked Valerie and the little girl he helped bring into the world through her online presence. Jack has good reason not to want his name or picture in the public, and good reason to stay hidden on the Slash-C where he's foreman. But after Val returns, he has even more reason to give his heart away, and join the world.

Good reading
I am from Wyoming and this series of books captures the culture of the west I have read all the series so far and find them very entertaining, each one better than the last. This was a great read for me

Wyoming Wildflowers Series Book Four
Jack Ralston works at the Slash C Ranch for the Curricks. He minds his own business and stays to himself. His walls are high and have been for some time now, and then she came into his life. Twice.
Valerie Trimarco was always unsettled. New jobs, wanting to see new places, always going. Things changed the day she found herself heading home to her family to have her baby. Only she never made it home. Addison Rose Trimarco chose to enter the world in Wyoming rather than Massachusetts.
I loved this story and all the main and secondary characters. I haven't read the previous books in this series but would highly suggest doing so. Those characters are active in this story and most are quite amusing. Tissue warning alert: if you tear up during stories, you may want tissues nearby for this one.
Connected to this story is A New World. This is Eleanor's story, Valerie's cousin. If you enjoy the series where you already know the previous characters, you'll want to read the previous four books in this series (first one is a prequel) and Eleanor's story.

Love all the characters, the plots, the settings and the stories in the Wyoming Wildflowers Series by Patricia McLinn. The storylines are all catching and I wasn’t able to stop reading, wanting to find out what happens next. I will be looking for more from Patricia McLinn in the future.
The story had all of the characteristics that I like to discover when finding a good book to read:
• One or more HOT alpha males
• Hot chemistry between heroine/hero
• Good story line
• Wonderful backup characters
• Family
• Drama
• Romance

Ok read. Not much happens for ages, very drawn out and got a bit boring tbh. Nowhere near as good as previous books in the series. I'd suggest skipping this one.

Loved this story!
Giving birth in the back of a car in a snow storm with the help of a stranger...jump ahead 3.5 years and the real story begins. Love Jack and Val. Great addition to the series.

No one can beat Patricia McLinn for contemporary romances in western settings. Wonderful characters, evocative settings, and a story that touches more hearts than Jack's.
