Welcome to Madison Falls, where love is in the air and gossip is ripe on the vine. Sophie Brandon’s old flame is back in town and hotter than ever. Reed Sutton has his eye on Sophie and is determined to show her that love is sweeter the second time around. Susan Behon presents Fall for You, Book 1 of her new, contemporary romance series, Madison Falls.
Sophie Brandon is in a bind.
After eight years, Reed Sutton is back in town and back on Sophie's radar. Her high school crush is home to stay and hotter than ever. How can she avoid the gorgeous construction manager when she needs work done in her bakery?
Reed knows he's overqualified for the simple renovation, but when it comes to sweet Sophie, he's the man for the job. Her kitchen heats up when one kiss leads to more and a storeroom mishap throws her right into Reed's arms. Once he catches her, he can't seem to keep his hands off of her...cookies.
Small town gossip mixed with threats against Sophie are a recipe for disaster. Will history repeat itself or will love conquer all?
Susan Behon, author of the Madison Falls series, enjoys creating a world that brings readers romance, laughter, and a healthy dose of sexiness. Susan graduated summa cum laude with a B. A. in English from Norfolk State University. She currently lives in Ohio with her very own romance hero of a husband and their two wonderful daughters
This is a very sweet romance with a bit of steam. I really enjoyed it. I love the relationship between the main couple, the friendships and I even liked the malice of the mother. I laughed quite a few times which is nice.
I am hoping the next book is about Tracy and Ben and I can't wait to read it.
I started reading this book with anticipation, yet kept reminding myself that this is a debut novel from this author, so I should go 'easy' on my judgment. After just a few pages, I forgot all about this being a debut novel. The book is written like this author is an experienced author with several books already published. The characters are well developed, especially their personalities, which caused me to feel like I knew them, and I felt connected to them. I love the friendships between the characters (Sophie and Tracy; Reed and Ben). Those friendships were portrayed perfectly, to the point where I could relate to them with friendships I've had in my own life. The 'steamy' parts were very steamy which is exactly what you expect/want from a true romance novel. This book also caused me to laugh out loud, which is something I rarely do when reading a book. I found myself reading and 'seeing' everything played out in my mind like a movie. When reading, I often visualize, but sometimes that's not so easy; With this book, it wasn't 'out there' to the point where I couldn't relate. I was able to relate to the characters and the events as possible occurrences in my own life. This caused me to care more about the characters and what happened. My only regret is that the book is over, and I can't immediately open up book two of the series and continue on... I'll try to be patient ;-) (I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. This review is entirely my honest opinion.)
Fall for You is a wonderful debut book. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and sexy. Owner of The Cookie Jar, Sophie Brandon is an adorable character, and her attempts to hide from her hunky former crush Reed Sutton are hysterical, but after multiple run ins, it’s obvious Reed is sweet on Sophie. I found myself smiling throughout the entire book. The story is fresh and fun with the perfect combination of sugar and spice.
Ms. Behon does a wonderful job weaving in other characters and taunting us with their storylines. I can’t wait to read the next book in the Madison Falls series.
I read this book in one sitting and could not put it down. Susan Behon writes a sweet, sexy, solid contemporary romance in Fall For You. The chemistry between Sophie and Reed, the two main characters, is great, and the secondary characters left me wanting more of their story. I enjoyed the steamy sex scenes and laugh-out-loud dialogue. The only drawback of the book was it left me craving warm gooey chocolate chip cookies at 3 a.m. A wonderful debut novel!
This was a gem of a book that had me hooked from the first page. A great contemporary story that takes place in the small town of Madison Falls.
The heroine is Sophie Brandon, baker of cookies and owner of The Cookie Jar. The hero is Reed Sutton, Sophie's high school crush who just returned to town after serving eight years in the Navy. He manages the family business Sutton Constructions.
All the elements of a small town sizzling romance. Great cast of characters, including secondary characters who are destined to have their own book/story.
A great read from start to finish. Oh, the cookies and cupcakes have their own parts to play. ;-)
This debut novel from Susan Behon is fun, flirty and definitely sexy. It's a delightful read and I didn't put it down until I had read the whole thing. I love the characters and enjoyed the banter, wit, and realness that came across. I'm already crushing on Ben and can't wait to read his story with Tracy!!
An incredibly sweet and funny romance that perfectly captured the feel of small town living. I really enjoyed this story and I thought that Reed and Sophie were beautif character who complemented one another perfectly. The conflict wasn't overly serious (which I liked) which meant the romance itself was pretty straightforward. The dialogue was funny and the sex scenes were spicy whilst still retaining the humour that categorised the whole novel. Highly recommended and I can't wait to read the next in the series.
I really enjoyed this book. The author kept me coming back for more, I found I couldn't put the book down. I loved how she developed the characters and I'm hoping for a sequel that tells us Tracy and Ben's story.
Want one you can't put down, you have to finish and then wish it hadn't ended? Read this author. Don't have to think. You just "feel" the romance throughout the book. Perfect read for a quiet night or anytime as long as you don't have to put it down.
Hard to believe this is a debut novel! Such an entertaining cast of characters and a sweet love story. I loved it! Can't wait for more books in this series!
