Anna Santos is a USA Today Bestselling Author who likes to write about shifters, vampires, angels, mermaids, fae, and occasionally humans.

Anna always keeps her readers on their toes with adrenaline-fuelled adventures, genuine characters, strong female leads, and romantic plots.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading or spending too watching TV shows. As an introvert, home is her safe harbor. Yet, she’s known for leaving the house from time to time and having her family throw a party because they haven’t seen her for days. Then they ask her how many books she wrote while gone, assuming that writing must be super easy.

Anna guarantees that it’s not, but she never wanted to be anything else. Unless there’s a possibility of being a powerful supernatural being in an awesome world where unicorns and fairies are real. Then, she would probably go there and never come back.

I'll preface this by saying this was not my kind of book. It's well written and I can see why others would love it, but I was expecting more from a PNR. It's very sweet, although tooth decay inducing. They met, they fell in love, he stripped her while she was unconscious, but it was okay because she thought it was sweet. All this happened before 20% into the book.

I kept waiting for something to happen. Even when the "evil" ex-girlfriend showed up, I expected fireworks, anger, anything. Instead it was very anti-climatic for me. I guess my tastes run to the more external conflict than what this book gave me.

Those who enjoy the more sweeter stories will love this one. It's more of an emotional read that feels like a New Adult book that just happened to have paranormal creatures in it.

So I saw that the author was offering this for a read and review thing and I was like dkwkdoskdjossmdhis
A new adult paranormal romance! Oh I just had to read this! I was not disappointed at all! This story is wonderfully written. The characters are flushed out perfectly. The world that th is author created seems believable which is hard in some cases with paranormal settings. The romance is sexy and sweet. There is strong action scenes and Annabel can really hold her own. Not a damsel in distress.
And Shane... oh Shane. I don't even know what to say about him. He's pretty much perfect.
All in all, a fantastic book! Get this and you'll love it. Just be warned it is a romance novel.

Oh my goodness this book is absolutely amazing!!! I highly recommend this book....no scratch that...this author. She is a hard working woman and a very dedicated writer. I'm very proud to have read something by Anna Santos. I've actually talked to her on Wattpad, which is where I met her, and I can honestly say that she's my role model. I also want to thank her for so much.

Anyways, I really, really recommend Soul-Mate by Anna Santos. It's the perfect mix of young adult and supernatural experiences. OH and Shane......*sigh*....he's my book boyfriend. Sexy, protective, and thrilling. mmmmm, so good.

LOL. I love you books Anna, so keep your head up

24% in and they are already giving me insta love vibes. The hero seems too clingy and controlling, how are you going to keep pestering me about my life when I just met you. The heroine seemed like a pushover, she'd say no and then change her mind two minutes later after he keeps pestering her. I ain't got time for that drama. DNF @ 24%

Soul Mate - Anna Santos (Immortal Love Series 1) 4 Stars

A lovely paranormal romance, with some seriously steamy scenes and great action thrown in!

Annabel has had to change her name to hide her true identity, she is now a highly skilled hunter, hunting the rogue creatures of the paranormal world. When she arrives in the new town, she meets Shane. Shane is the sheriff of the town and is super hot and handsome, he knows immediately that Annabel is his soul-mate, but he has no idea she is a hybrid.

A lovely easy to read story that kept my attention throughout, there are quite a few unexpected twists that unfold and lots of action towards the end. Even though romance is not my usual genre, paranormal is. I especially like how this book has more than just vampires, there's a mix of werewolves, witches and hybrids too. A great read which I really enjoyed.

Anna Santos is an outstanding and remarkably skilled writer. Soul-Mate Book1 is one of her exceptional series. The twist and plot of the story are quite unpredictable unlike any other books. Annabel is a strong willed and bad ass chick (I secretly want to be like her) and not some lame damsel in distress which is common in other supernatural/paranormal books. Shane is a possesive alpha male but becomes uncertain when it comes to his mate.
If you are looking for an adventure, romance and drama with the supernaturals this is the perfect book for you. You can feel the characters emotions love, humour, hurt, name it.

Soul Mate by Anna Santos had me captivated from the very start.
The storyline is brilliant, the characters are bold, bad-ass and daring.

I could never wait for the new update of Soul Mate to read further. I didn't want it to end.

I read this book on Wattpad and I'm here to give an honest review

Paranormal crazy story! Anna is a hybrid and a kick butt one at that! She's on a journey to find a cure for her brother! But what she finds is so much more then a cure for her brother! She finds sea couple of things that she never thought she would ever have!
Danger from the one thing that killed her parents lurks around, mates are bound to be united and blood is shed!
A great read!

~ Book provided by Anna Santos in exchange for my honest opinion

I must admit I have some mixed feelings for Soul-Mate. It's not that I didn't like it, but it had some stuff that made reading it harder than it had to be.

First off, I knew going into reading it, that Soul-Mate would totally and absolutely have a lust- and love-at-first-sight theme. I'm not a big fan of that, but since the synopsis pretty much screamed insta-lust, I won't consider it in my review. This is just meant as a little heads-up. You don't like insta-lust/love, then don't read this.

Now on to my actual review.

While I liked the over-all story, I have to say that in the first 35% pretty much nothing happened. They were just constantly having sex. After that 35% the story developed a little bit and actually started to get a plot. BUT I feel like this book would have worked better if it would have been a little shorter, since it dragged quite a bit and I found myself skimmed some pages.

The characters weren't really my type of people either. They were all nicely written and Shane and Anna had some chemistry, but still... they didn't make me love them as much as I hoped they would. They were just average, nothing really special about them.

Then there was this one scene with the bad guys and Beth and Marie, who are sisters, but I didn't really get the necessarity of that scene and the introducing Beth and Marie as characters. They didn't appear before that scene, right? If they did indeed, then I guess I just forgot about them as soon as the scene with them was over. Anyway, that scene did nothing for the story in my opinion. It just made me confuse.

The end fight was fun and the ending itself was cute, with Anna's brother being awake again, but still... I'm not sure if I will be reading the next book. It will probably be about Jason, Anna's cousin and Sasha, Anna's whatwasit again? I'm kind of confused about who is whose cousin, aunt, uncle and all.

Anyway give it a try if you like the synopsis. For me it was just average and I hate to say that.

I must admit, the storyline did have promise but the execution was brutal. It was all over the place. Not well paced at all. The characters felt incredibly immature as well. they seemed like a group of naive high school kids. very generic. insta-love extreme. This just felt like dozens of other YA paranormal romance reads. it's had potential but sadly did not deliver. At least it was offered as a kindleunlimited.

WARNING! WARNING!

description

INSTA-LOVE ALERT!!!!!

description

NOPE NOPE NOPE.

*******************************************

Not only does this story's romance have zero build up, it was so unrealistic. A few chapters in, and the characters had already had sex and basically committed themselves to each other. Like, what? At this point, we don't even know the guy that much, the romance was way too fast to be believable and it was just click, instant romance. And I'm not talking about instantly falling in love, it was like, instantly let's jump into bed together.

I was so disappointed by the romance at the start but decided to keep reading. However, the actual plot of the story was just not interesting for me. Half the time I didn't know what was going on.

The actual characters were one-dimensional and didn't have that much of a personality. As far as MCs go, she was boring and I could not connect with her. The romance also impacted my view of the love interest, and the secondary MC, because it happened so fast we don't know that much about him, and he doesn't bring much to the story.

Yeah, didn't really like it.

I received a cop of this book, in exchange for an honest review

Sparks fly when Annabel’s and Shane’s world collides. Hiding her dark past, Anna can’t help but feel the pull to give into Shane. No matter how hard she tries, she just can’t get away. With Anna’s hybrid side, she is on the hunt for a cure to save her brother Kevin, who has fallen into a coma. Can she trust Shane? The werewolf who promises her everything? Will she find what they need before it’s too late?

I found that I really adored this story. I think that when Shane and Anna met they have this instant connection. I loved that on certain parts of the book I got to see his POV as well. I think it really brought more to this tale and the characters. This is the type of book where you get the backstory the more you read (which I liked). The action was great, badass women who can fight~perfect!

Toward the end of the story, we get to see a new POV introducing the villain. In the chapter you really get to see just how mad and crazy he is. I felt scared for the characters myself. We have the chance to learn a lot about the man, and what he is really like.

I was a bit upset that we didn’t get to see certain scenes between Anna and Shane, it was talked about in the book but the reader doesn’t experience it, we just get to know that it happened.

On top of that, I saw a few sentences in the story that just sounded off. Along with a couple of editing quirks, but I am sure that is something to be fixed.

In the end I think the story, plot, and idea were great. The author wrote the characters perfectly, and I could see myself reading the next book. She had a nice balance of details, and a nice writing style. Every writer has a different way of doing things, but I liked hers.

It is defiantly worth a read.

I haven’t read anything written by Anna Santos, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Even though paranormal is my favourite genre, I was surprised how much I loved this book.I became very irritated when I had to stop reading and I carried my kindle with me everywhere I went.
One of the reasons I love paranormal is because there are no rules. The author can let their imagination run free and Anna Santos certainly did that. Soul mates in the paranormal world is not a new concept, but it’s one I love. Anna Santos made it her own.
I loved the main characters, Annabelle and Shane, individually as well as together. I was genuinely worried that their secrets were going to keep them apart, something I didn’t want to happen. You’ll need to read Soul-Mate to find out if they do.
But a good story isn’t enough if the writing isn’t well done. Anna Santos knows her craft well and the words flowed across the pages, making the whole experience even better. I’m very pleased that Soul-Mate is the first book in a series so I have more of her work to look forward to, but I also plan on checking out her other books.

Anna Santos is a brilliant author. I absolutely love her work and Soul-mate is one of the best stories I've read. Her brilliant characters are beautifully developed and dynamic, and they just draw you into the story so easily.
Annabel is an intriguing character; a totally badass hunter and powerful hybrid who doesn't trust people easily but at the same time extremely vulnerable and caring. I really enjoyed reading her story.

Shane is an absolutely perfect male lead; spending hundreds of years searching for his mate and finally finding Anna, someone who could leave him all too easily and doing everything he can to make her stay. The strong and powerful Sheriff of a Supernatural town brought to his knees the moment he lays eyes on his beautiful mate.

This world of supernatural creatures is completely enthralling and so easy to read. With Werewolves, Vampires, Hybrids, Shifters, and Witches there is definitely something for everyone in this book and you cannot possibly go wrong in choosing to read it.

This was one of my very first paranormal/suspense erotic books and I'm craving for more!

This story goes deep, very deep. It has the perfect amount of plot twists in it and it leaves us with small cliff hanger, or maybe it's just to leave us expecting for the next book. Whatever it may be called, I loved it!

The characters are really good. Annabel is strong and it wouldn't be wrong to say powerful. I think Annabel is the mirror image of Ms Santos. I loved Shane, though protective, he knows that she's strong and respects her for that! We need more men like this in the society!

And, boy, do I love secrets! Each of these unravel slowly throughout the book, and they leave your mouths hanging. They're completely unexpected and brilliant!

Ms Santos is a very promising writer. I hope to read so much more of her works in the future!

I read the first draft of this book, and was hooked from the very start. Anna is a brilliant writer, she crafted this story so masterfully that her reader would not be able to stop reading. I have not read this new improved version, but I have no doubt that the story and its characters are even more enthralling. If this is just the first book in the Immortal Love Series then there is definitely only one way for the talented writer to go and its up.

I would recommend Anna Santos books to anyone who is hungry for adventure, romance and the paranormal. A prefect blend of all three genres which any true book lover would appreciate.

Omg the greatest book. I couldn't put it down once I started but was sad when it ended. I have read it three times because the love that in between the main people is what everyone wants. It brings you to a special place that you don't want to leave. There is action, love and a bunch more. You won't be disappointed if you read this. I highly recommend this book.

I saw the blurb for Soul-Mate and it made me want to know Annabelle’s story. It’s not often I come across a hybrid supernatural and I was curious which would win out, the were or the vampire.
.
The whole town is filled with weres, vampires, and hybrids. Everyone knows they don’t mix, but here they carry on daily life as if they are humans, so don’t forget that they have hidden abilities when you visit.
.
We will have insta-love and I can live with that in the supernatural world. As soon as Shane sets eyes on her, gets a sniff, he knows Annabelle is his Soul-Mate. Not so with her.
.
The erotic, jump in the sack, first part of the book bored me. I never had a chance to connect to the characters before hand…I rarely do this, but I started skimming the pages, wanting to get to the heart of the story. And I found it.
.
Annabelle is a hunter. I guess you could say her and Shane, a werewolf sheriff, have some things in common. They are both out to get the bad guy.
.
We read from two perspectives, his and hers. I like seeing the story that way and Anna Santos did a great job with it.
.
It was hilarious, picturing Shane, spying on Annabelle from a tree, nekkid. LOL
.
I am really interested in Annabelle and Jessica’s friendship. I think there is more to the story than first meets the eye. Annabelle is the serious one and Jessica is happy-go-lucky, love ’em and leave ’em. I really want to know more about Jessica…
.
The slow ‘burning’ start soon gave way to some action, and once it got going, I couldn’t stop. I feel asleep with the Kindle on my lap with just 17% to go. That is the first time that has happened to me in so long I can’t remember. So…stick with it.
.
If I did half stars, it would get 3 1/2, so I am having a difficult time rating this. So…check it out for yourself, if you like hot and sexy, erotic, paranormal reads.

I felt for Annabel from the first page. Ms. Santo puts such feeling into her characters that you hurt when they do. She makes Annabel likable yet mysterious and confusing yet intriguing as well.
Shane is the typical alpha werewolf living out his lonely existence waiting on his intended soulmate to fall in his lap. When she does, he isn’t surprised she isn’t a typical werewolf. She’s a hybrid shifter. The misunderstood and hated of the shifter breeds.
The reader spends a third of this book in a daze of hot steamy sex; a third had the reader watching Annabel work to rectify the past and the remaining third watching Shane fawn all over Annabel. It makes for an interesting yet sometimes irritatingly sweet.

This story was different than other books that I have read, in a good way for the most part. I was really excited to read the book from the blurb. Annabel is a hunter and is undercover trying to find a pureblood vampire to save her brother. Shane is the sheriff in the town. Annabel and Shane meet her first night in town and once Shane gets a whiff of her, he knows that she is his mate. Shane believes that she is human so as he pursues her hard he doesn't tell her that she is his mate or that he is a werewolf. Annabel doesn't automatically know that he is her mate because she is a hybrid but she is drawn to him like no other. She doesn't want him to be sad or upset, especially with her and doesn't want to be away from him either. Since she doesn't have the automatic knowledge for the why of this, it is confusing for her. She decides to go ahead and continue seeing Shane because she can't seem to not and so changes her approach to her assignment.
This story has a bunch of twists and turns that are not expected that keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. The information is given in pieces which makes it harder to figure it out. The story line is very good and written very well. The story moves smoothly and doesn't ever feel slow. It moves very well and will definitely keep your attention through the entire story. I really enjoyed the characters. They were written really well and the secondary characters were as well. I loved how the next part of the story is being blended into this one. It is done very well and this story doesn't leave you in a cliffhanger but it definitely leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next story!! I am very excited to see whose story we get next and what is going to happen with this group of people.

Soul Mate started off really great! You take an absolutely beautiful supposedly human girl who is really a hybrid and into that mix, you add a really hot man that turns out to be both the town sheriff and a werewolf. You add the fact that she is actually his mate and you have a delightfully sexy story!! Finding out that she is looking for revenge for the vampire that killed her parents and put her brother into a coma, makes this a truly suspense filled and sexy read.

I found this so very hard to put down for the night. It kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next!! The characters were believable, the dangers were very realistic and the suspense in this story kept me right on the edge of my seat!! There were a few times where I worried about how the characters would get out of the situation that they were in and was very pleasantly surprised that my favorites and survived, again!!

At one point, the author introduced some characters that were not in the main story. It did make sense after I realized who they were. I have a feeling that those characters will be more at the forefront in succeeding stories, as they are all part of the main stories background.

Either way, this is an excellent story and I can’t wait to read more of her works!!

'Soul Mate' was one of those stories that took me away and kept me glued to the pages. The storyline was full of cool paranormal beings, creative scenarios, great action and some really hot and steamy scenes. Real, fan myself hot and steamy sex. The characters were an awesome array of personalities. Anna was a great lead. She's a bad-ass hunter who is quite stubborn and has a fantastic sarcastic streak. Shane was a hot as hell Alpha with a great sense of devotion. The way the story played out was well written and left me wanting to read more. I look forward to the next book.

I was drawn in to this from page one and I was immediately hooked! The whole book kept me entranced and I could not put it down. I liked both Anna and Shane, and I liked them together evn better. I was surprised she held on to her secrets as long as she did, but I understood her hesitation. I enjoyed the uniqueness of this storyline. It wasn't your typical meet, fall in lust/ love, and find out he's a shifter book. Refreshing! I will be reading more of this series. The author has set thebar really high and I look forward to discovering more about her characters.

Misses its genre. Cut the romance novel scenes out and it would make a NA.

Not enough blood and guts. It only had one action scene at end of book. A lot of interpersonal stuff. And mild peril. I think it would work well as na without the 2-3 scenes. Otherwise it wasn't really bloody or kick-butt enough to be vampire fiction and nothing weird enough happened for mature paranormal. I had a huge issue with the implied child killer everyone was content to ignore and be around at end of book. That was a huge flaw in plot with "upstanding" leads.

The best thing about Soul Mate is the originality of it, there are tons of these kind of books but the characters and the plot are so different from everything I've read. As Shane and Annabel develop their relationship Annabel still has a mission she has do to so you get both some romance and action. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is in to fantasy books and like a bit of romance.
