Run to You: A Billionaire Romance

Their love was strong, the darkness within was stronger…

Sebastian Black came into my life like a storm in the night. Dark. Raging. All-consuming. And guaranteed to leave destruction in his wake. From the moment our eyes met, he had a hold on me. I wanted, craved, and needed him like nothing I had ever desired before. The problem was he needed total submission. I knew what he was proposing would destroy me. What I had not planned on was his ability to make me crave destruction. I would lose myself in him. It was evident that my past had the ability to destroy us. I didn't know the power of his to do the same.

I’m the king of my city, a god among men. What I want, I get. And I want her. It was meant to be six weeks like all the others, the optimal amount of time for me to indulge in the decadence of my darkest desires without risking them getting too close. But she worked her way in. And now I don’t want to let her go. I won’t.

The brokenness inside her is the only thing capable of taming the devil that lies within me. He sees me like no one ever has. I want to see him too but what he’s hiding is more than I’m strong enough to bear.

Can two hearts as broken as ours, battle the darkness and stand together in the light? Or will his need for control break me until the only choice left is to run?

Run to You is the first book in an ongoing series. The final book is in production and the release date is to be announced. Each book ends on a cliffhanger, so readers who aren’t able to live on the edge may want to avoid this title. There are dark themes within these pages that may be triggering to some readers. If you are sensitive to topics of childhood trauma, mental illness, or mild violence, please proceed with caution.

If, on the other hand, you love a romance filled with suspense and dark characters that struggle with their everyday decisions, scroll up and one-click this sizzling and spicy romance today!

This was a pretty good read that I liked. Sebastian Black is a hot sexy dark and rich alpha male. Danielle who came from nothing wanted to submit to Sebastian but was afraid to. Dani doesn't come from money; she believes one should earn everything they have, and that just what she has done. She worked hard and graduated from UCLA and has just moved to New York with her gay bestfriend. Sebastian is the most eligible billionaire bachelor he has a long line of woman wanting his time, and he's willing to give it selected women. So long as they sign his contract. When they meet it's an instant lust he knows he must have her and he makes sure that he does. It doesn’t take long before Sebastian starts breaking all of his own rules just to keep Dani in his life. This book read like a cross between FSOG and The Crossfire series two of my favorite series. The chemistry between these two was hot and the sex scenes were good. This was my first time reading this author but not my last. This book leaves off on a cliffhanger. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

DNF, I got fed up around chapter 33
I refuse to rate this book higher than one star, not because it isn't well written, not because it isn't hot and lastly not because it isn't catching, BUT SERIOUSLY! A lot of people have commented on this having similarities to FSOG, and while it does, that is not the main problem for me, the main problem for me though, is that this book is a COMPLETE rip-off of the Crossfire series, it ain't even funny. And I'd happily state just a few of the similarities:
- The ex-boyfriend who's in a band that she didn't know about (CF) And I stopped before they actually meet, but i'm pretty sure I can figure out how this will play out
- The gay roommate/best friend (CF)
- The tight relationship with the father, who lives in a different state and comes to visit (CF)
- The childhood abuse of the heroine, the abuser still being around, which Sebastian naturally just can't live with (CF)
- The braiding of the hair before "playing" (FSOG)
- The entire scene of her telling about the abuse and then thinking he's rejecting her cause he now finds her repulsive (CF)

There's getting inspired and then there's being completely unoriginal border lining stealing (yes I said that) I'm in no way out to hurt this author but enough is enough. I would hope she uses her talent of writing for writing something with a little more originality.

So i don't mind cliches or even having a book reminding me of another one as long as it's good, but this one was just ridiculous. Maybe it's because i've read FSoG more than once and ive read the Crossfire serious more times than i can count, but this book is pretty much their love child. I'm pretty sure i can line up 95% of this book with either FSoG or Crossfire. Was it a bad book? Not really i just couldn't get the other two out of my head. Of course with how this one ended i'll be reading the next book in the series.

copycat to 50 shades and crossfire series

Im surprised EL James and Sylvia Day has not sued this author for plagiarizing. So much like 50 shades and Crossfire series it is not funny.

Run to You is a solid 4 out of five star read. I was genuinely surprised that I liked this book. In the beginning I felt like I was reading 50 shades of grey especially with the selection of characters names, however I was able to get past that as the characters became more developed. Unlike 50 shades of grey this book has more sophisticated writing and a lot less repetition, yes it is far better than 50 shades of grey!! That being said I did find myself skipping over the sex scenes towards the end because of the high frequency, not that there is anything wrong with well written hot sex. I enjoyed the secondary characters in this book and appreciated that her best friend was a male, however, I would have thought this would have been a bigger issue for Mr. Black. I liked the drama between Dani and Alana because it added to the suspense of the novel and made me want to learn what dark secret was holding Sebastian to his past. I loved and hated the cliff hanger ending, I was pissed it ended at what felt like the climax of the story, because I want to read part two now!! I would defiantly purchase the second book, but if the series became a trilogy like 50 shades I don’t know if I would continue to read it unless all the books were released in a close time frame because I lose my connection to the characters when I have to wait too long for another book to release. For individuals who get caught up in grammar errors this book was edited better than most books I’ve read by other new authors and I was only distracted by grammatical errors twice.

It’s a well done, enjoyable read that left me wanting more!

☆☆ ARC PROVIDED BY Kandice Michelle Young FOR MY HONEST REVIEW ☆☆

This book drew me in from the start. We meet Danielle, a recent graduate of UCLA and the newest intern at P.E.S. Her gay best friend, Geoff, roomies since sophomore year in college. And Sebastian, a "Greek god" among men, very rich and dominating.

When Danny and Sebastian meet, sparks fly. He's very bold with a sense of entitlement, while she's sassy and doesn't like to be bossed around.

He wants her to sign a contract in order to be with him, she cannot say no. After some negotiation (I loved this part!) they have an arrangement.

The story reminds me of Fifty Shades and the Crossfire series. The sex is hott! They both have secrets, and Kandice only gives you a glimpse into Dani's painful past. The story is a cliffhanger, that part is annoying because now I have to wait for the next book!

(Reviewers note: while the sex scenes were steamy- some of the words can Kandice used to describe the acts were "cheesy." This is my personal opinion and I cannot be honest if I don't include that. Since this is her first book, my hope is that her technique will improve, because the story she is telling is freaking awesome!)

Sebastian is a rich billionaire, dark, with dark secrets. Dani has her own secrets ones that haunt her past and her present. From the moment they meet at a business meeting sparks fly and Sebastian knows she may be different.

While I liked this book it was a little to similar to FSOG. Write up to the elevator scene. Otherwise, Kandice Michelle Young did a great job developing characters, primary and secondary and intriguing us with the unknown back stories.

Dani's past is easily pieces together. One of my favorite characters is her gay BFF from college,Geoff. But while Sebastian and Dani are well built characters neither one I like. Dani is weak, she will forget anger, pain, etc with just a kiss or sex from Sebastian. Also, Sebastian's acts or BDSM are border line abuse and the final scene that leads to the cliff hanger is definitely non-consent in my book.

That being said this is written well enough and intriguing enough that i will definitely read book to to see where it leads.

Kandice Michelle Young really hit the nail on the head with this book. Meeting Danielle and Sabastian was almost like meeting two of your best friends for the first time, again. I felt an instant connection to both characters. This book brought in a little bit of FSOG but with a spicy kick! These are two people that anyone can relate to because they have real life problems. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and left me wanting more. I can't wait to read the next book! I am officially hooked and anyone who reads this will be hooked from the first page to the last. I literally could not put this book down. If you liked Fifty Shades then you will absolutely LOVE Run To You!

Omg it was reading fifty shades all over again, but way better. Sebastian Black is delicious. He likes control, but when meets Danielle and finds out about her past and realizes how he feels about her he let's some control go. My God this two are phenomenal together and the sex it's oh. This book has a cliffhanger so need to say I'm hungry for book two, like right now. This follows fifty shades a little but is totally different to. I just loved it. I was asked to read for honest review and I could honestly go on and on about how good this book is but it wouldn't do it justice.

4.5 Crazy Stars!!!

Wow! This is a 50 Shades-esque type of read. I'm not sure on my feeling for Sebastian. It's kind of a
love/hate thing going on right now. He's just so hypocritical in his dealings with Dani and it's driving me bonkers. It's really effecting how I react to him. Hopefully installment #2 can sway me because I'm dying to read it.

I was sucked into the story right from the start and had a hard time pulling my kindle from in front of my face at times. Bring on Run From You. I need to know what happens next!

This book was alright.
The characters and even the story was well written,
but...
I just couldn't get over how similar to Fifty Shades Of Grey it was.
I loved FSOG but this book not so much.
It felt like a copy cat novel with a few tweaks and changes.
I'm hoping book two in the series brings a fresher, more original story continuance.

I had such high hopes for this book, but sadly, I could bring myself to finish it.

The writing was really starting to piss me off.

"I will be back in a minute..."
"Tomorrow I will show you..."
"I will stay until you fall asleep"

STFU Sebastian. I can't tell you annoying and distracting it was when he talked like that.

Very well written, but just like others have written, way too many similarities between this and Fifty Shades of Grey and the first book of the Crossfire series. I am not talking minor similarities but blatant ones.

rip off

It’s a good story. I realllllllly enjoyed it. But it’s such a rip off of the Crossfire series. And a mix between that and fifty shades. But I hate how the MMC just completely gaslights her the entire time. And she just puts up with it because he shuts her up with smex

I’ll read the rest of the series because I want to know how it ends and I LOVED the crossfire series.

Blurb is misleading. It says it is a complete series but isn’t. 3rd book ended in 2015 on a cliffhanger.

Too many similarities to bared to you series and fifty shades but with typos, plot issues and very few redeeming qualities for the male main character.

Kandice Michelle Young's debut novel has love, hot sex, secretive sexy alpha, a damaged woman and finding trust and security in the lest likely places. This one leaves you on a cliffy that will either have you pulling your hair out, or begging for more.

Dani doesn't come from money; she believes one should earn everything they have, and that just what she has done. She worked hard and graduated from UCLA and has just moved to New York with her gay bestie, who is her rock, and vice versa.
But not everything is all peaches for Dani, she is fighting some serious demons, but is determined to not let them define the woman she is.
Starting her new job in her dream company, P.E.S, everything seems to be happening for her and her fresh start.
Then he enters ....
Sebastian Black, the most eligible billionaire bachelor.
He has a long line of woman wanting his time, and he's willing to give it selected women. So long as they sign his very strict contract.
When his eyes meet Dani's, it's an instant off the charts connection. He knows he must have her and he makes sure that he does.
It doesn’t take long before Sebastian starts breaking all of his own rules just to keep Dani in his life.
But Dani isn’t the only one with some demons; Sebastian has his own secrets that he holds close to his chest.
Will they tear these two apart, or will love win out?
Ok, so the story sounds good, right? We thought that too, but don't completely agree anymore.
The book is roughly 300 pages, and I struggled to read at least 200 of them. I mean, I Choose to clean the bathroom instead of reading this book.
Let me explain why.
I’ve seen comments here and there about this book, and they all say the same kind of thing.
"It’s like fifty shades"

Well, they aren't wrong there, and that’s not really a good thing.
The reason it’s like "reading Fifty Shades" again, is because you basically are.
I felt like I had read this story, a few times actually.
For me, I found far too many similarities with situations, locations and speech between Sebastian and E.L James' Christian Grey and Jodi Ellen Malpas' Jesse Ward.
I can list at least 7 Massive similarities between Run to You and Fifty Shades and This Man trilogy, and for me, that is far too many and this needed to be brought up.
I can hear you all now,
"So why a 3 star rating if it’s basically a few books thrown together to make one?"

That’s simple, the beginning was so promising, the first chapter had me; I mean I was completely invested in this story.
And then Christian Grey entered, I mean Jesse Ward .... Sorry, I mean Sebastian Black, and thats when everything went down hill.
It did pick back up towards the end and I found myself getting into the book again. Sadly though, (for me) the final chapter was just like read a scene straight from Fifty Shades Red Room.
So, will I read book #2, Run From You?
Yes. I will give it a try, and hopefully this one is more of an original.
I would love to know more from Dani's past, that part is what drew me in to start with. The same with Sebastian's past, I think he could have a great story to tell.
Kandice is a new author with A LOT of potential, and I would love for her to succeed with this series.

Run to you is a 4 part debut erotic series by Kandice Michelle Young.
Reading a debut book is slightly daunting, but my top 10 books/series are all by debut authors at the time and I can honestly say I'm a huge fan of debut authors. That being said I still get a nervous, anxious and excited feeling when starting a book by a debut author as You don't no what the authors writing style is like and if ill like the style. I love the feeling before I jump in to the book and diving into the unknown.
I have to say that Run To You didn't let me down and has kept my love of debut books/authors alive.
The start of the book was like I was reading Fifty Shades all over again, but as I love that series it didn't put me off and I wanted to no if "Run to You" was going to be similar to Fifty shades all the way throughout, or if the book was going to come in to its own. I was hoping the book would come in to its own and I'm glad it did.
Dani has recently graduated from UCLA and is now interning at P.E.S. She is a feisty spitefire of a character who doesn't take well to being told what to do. She loves her independence and is a great character that I enjoyed all throughout the story.
Sebastian is very much a alpha male. He loves control in everything and always gets everything he wants in life then when he's done with it he throws it away. He's extremely cocky and utterly gorgeous. However Sebastian has a very dark past.
Sebastian and Dani met when he comes to her as a client. The attraction and chemistry between them is instant and from their first meeting to the end of book 1 I could feel my kindle burning up because of their chemistry.
Sebastian and Dani are both very different people though and as Sebastian loves control and a dom/sub relationship he won't let anything happen with Dani unless she signs a contract first.
Both characters are very interesting and I loved the "contract negotiation" between the both of them. Dani isn't someone who will back down lightly. You go on a massive roller coaster ride with the 2 of them and your constantly being pulled here, there and everywhere that I never knew which way was up.
Sebastian was the character I most connected with, wanted to no more and more about and found the most interesting. This is because he has a dark secret I wanted to no. This created suspense and mystery throughout and made me want to read faster and faster to find out what the secret was. Dani got really annoyed and angry with Sebastian because he was keeping secrets from her. I could feel Dani's frustration and anger with Sebastian but also loved that the secret created more drama and questions.
Sebastian slightly started changing in the book because of Dani and what he felt for her. He doesn't understand his feelings but for some reason he knows he can't let her go and he needs her in his life.
I really enjoyed book 1 and if you enjoy books like Fifty shades of Grey then you will enjoy this story to. It's familiar but different which I find comforting.
I enjoyed the first part of the book and am really looking forward to reading the next instalment to hopefully get some questions answers, but I've a feeling that with every question I get answered, another will be created.
The only thing that I disliked in the book is the fact that ANOTHER character is called Sebastian Black. I can name so many books lately that are using the same names or 1 part of the name for their characters. I would not take any stars off or discredit a book over a name but I'm really getting frustrated with the same name being used over and over by authors.
I would defiantly recommend this book to people and anybody who likes books in this genre as it is a very strong debut from Kandice Michelle Young. I'm looking forward to reading the next 3 books in the series and getting deeper in to Sebastian's head and Dani and Sebastian's story.

Arc received in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 1 in the run series and is Kandice's 1st book. I love checking out new authors and when their story hooks from the 1st page, I get a little excited. If you are a 50 shades of Grey and bared to you fan, this series will be right up your alley. After getting about 25% through I realized that if 50 shades and Bared to you had a baby, then Run To You would be its child... and that became more evident the more I read.

Danielle Stevens has moved from her dad and family to New York with her best friend Geoff for a internship at a popular agency. These are hard to come by, and being chosen personally by Paul Princeton, president and CEO of Princeton Enterprise Solutions (P.E.S) is a huge honor. On her 1st day she us thrown in head 1st, finding out Paul's assistant has just resigned, she is asked to attend a meeting with owner of Black Inc, Sebastian Black and when questioned in regards to the party P.E.S are planning for them she pulls out a huge idea, that has her and the other 2 men more than a little excited. Now she has to prove that she can pull off the party in a few days.

Trying to ignore her bodies response to Sebastian Black, she pushes ahead. But Mr Black wants Danielle, and what he usually wants he pretty much gets. He persues her and with his dominant side and sexual prowess, Dani can only ignore him for so long. It is when Danielle is shown the relationship that Sebastian wants with her old demons rsise their ugly heads... Fantasy rooms with whips and chains have her trembling with fear. She suffered some serious trauma as a young girl, so when she oversteps one of Sebastian's imaginery lines and is punished they wake the nightmares and scare the crap out of her.

With an impressive pull off for Black Inc's party at Lickwid, Dani is thrown into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Photos have bombed gossip sites of Sebastian and Dani leaving the party, clearly together. This prompts a meeting with her new boss, who is not particularly happy about finding out his new awesome intern/ assistant is sleeping with one of P.E.S. largest clients, so she is sent home on a week long suspension and not fired with the demands set by Sebastian, to work ftom home till the dust settles.

So goes the incredibly hot relationship between Sebastian and Danielle.... But things change as Dani starts to open up to Sebastian about her early years and the typical dom/sub relationship takes a back seat as he "takes care of her" and I so wanted him to be the good guy but all the way through the book there were snippets of Sebastian's life, and the CEO, dominant and millionaire that everyone sees is not the real man. He has his own troubles and demons but doesn't give anything away to Danielle, who becomes increasingly annoyed about his secretive business dealings.

Add in his family who seem to dislike her, another woman that he clearly has a past with, Dani's best friend Geoff who doesn't trust Sebastian, her father Giovanni and her grandparents who have the big Italian presence and this story is more than an erotic romance. It is drama filled while setting the pages on fire with dani and Sebastian's sexual chemistry.

At 80% there is the big bang.... the question I asked the whole way through but not from the person I needed to hear it from. So leaves more questions to be answered, that I really hope I get in book 2. I very much look forward to starting it asap... warning: this book finishes with a cliffhanger.

All I want for Christmas this year is Sebastian Black. He is the new Christian Grey in my opinion. This book by Kandice Michelle Young will leave you with a severe book hangover and you dying to know what happens next with Sebastian and Danielle (Dani).

I could not put this book down. It grabbed me from the beginning and it didn’t let go. I’m convinced that it still has a hold on me. All I can think about right now is this book. The story is great. It takes two people who couldn’t be more different and throws them together in a way that you can see spells heartbreak. You can feel the sexual tension coming off the pages when the two of them are together. You can feel Dani’s frustration at Sebastian’s secretiveness. The story is written so well that you feel like you’re in the book. You feel like you are Dani. I love it. I love that I can feel mad at Geoff for being an ass instead of telling her how he feels. I love that I feel sad when Sebastian yet again leaves Dani for Alana. I love that I hate Alana. I hate her just as much I as I hated Elena Lincoln and I hope that in book two, we find out just what kind of hold she has on Sebastian.

Dani is a great female character. She is doing just find on her own until she meets Sebastian, and then her world is just flipped upside down. She gets on this roller coaster relationship train with him and you can feel the whiplash that their relationship goes through. And I couldn’t help but hope that she would get a happily ever after. Dani is fierce and independent, but she’s also in need of the dom/sub relationship that Sebastian offers.

Sebastian. Oh good Lord, Sebastian Black. He can set a woman’s panties on fire just by breathing. He’s an alpha male with a dark past, a past that we don’t know much about. Sebastian is used to getting what he wants and then moving on when he’s achieved what he wants. Dani sparks something in him that makes him want more. But his secrets with Alana are always getting in the way. I felt like smacking him upside the head a few times when he would leave Dani to be with Alana. I hope that in book two we find out more about these secrets that they share and just why Alana is in Sebastian’s life.

The book is available for pre-order. I highly highly suggest that you do yourselves a favor and one-click it so that in February, you’ll have it waiting for you. It’s a book that has many twists and turns and you won’t guess half of what happens. The book does in on an abrupt cliffhanger, but it’s done very well. I cannot wait for the next book. I need it like tomorrow!

*** Gifted a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review***
*I give this book 3.5 stars*

With the FSOG Mania on at the moment I am sure that this book will prove popular.

To be honest it reminds me more of Megan Keith's Eraser series, which I loved, but if you like FSOG or Eraser then you will probably find this story an enjoyable read, and different enough in its own right.

This Debut book by Kandice Michelle Young, has the main female lead Dani interning at P.E.S. and due to the PA position being vacant has the luck to fall into a role that's more than pushing paper and getting cups of coffee.

She has a troubled past that she has overcome and fights against the nightmares to hold onto her independence, Her GBFF Geoff is her anchor, and I loved their connection, both have their issues but together they have survived to be strong individuals.

On the first day Dani is in a meeting with her boss as they give the proposal for an event for our Main Lead Character Sebastian Black (Yep another colour name!) but its forgiven I think he actually suited him.

Sebastian is an alpha male. controls everything in his life, he doesn't do relationships!
He has a mysterious past, that we only get glimpses of during book 1.

Both feel an instant attraction - and Dani has a similar 'No Relationship' policy as Sebastian does so shes not averse to his attention - she thinks she will get him out of her system, he thinks he will do the same - But on HIS TERMS... here is another similarity to FSOG/Eraser.
Contracts - Time limits... but are they going to stand up to their attraction?

Now at least Dani isn't someone simpering Sub, nope she will give but not everything and the book has some quite funny moments when it comes to negotiating changes in the contract!

Although Dani is strong, she has issues from the past and these eventually come back to haunt her, and with Sebastian realising that Dani is different, will he fight his past demons to be with her?

Dani is a smart cookie and her frustration and anger with Sebastian's lack of trust in opening up to her eventually causes her to doubt their relationship, and there we have another similarity with the FSOG and Eraser series books... a Doozy of a Cliffhanger!

We are left with a number of questions about the secrets Sebastian is hiding, we got to know Dani's past but now we wait to see what her fate is.

this book is a solid start for a debut author, and I look forward to seeing what she has in store for her characters (hopefully we hear more about Dani's family and Geoff, I loved their characters too)

Between Geoff and my dad, I have almost everything. The things I don’t, I can always get without the trouble of a relationship.

Schwartz Synopsis
Danielle Stevens moved to New York with her best friend Geoff. They share an apartment and all of their juicy secrets. Danielle begins interning and her company’s first big client is Sebastian Black, an extremely sexy and dominate man who takes Danielle’s breath away. Together they begin an extremely strange relationship that takes them both by surprise. Will this relationship be too much for either of them to handle? Or is this relationship exactly what they both need?

We shimmy and sashay our way around the dance floor, the music pulsating through our bodies. I am having the time of my life, and the five appletinis that I’ve had aren’t hurting anything.

Schwartz Thoughts
I will be honest here, I have not read an erotic romance in quite some time. That being said, I absolutely loved this one. The writing style was great and had me laughing, flinching embarrassedly, shocked, and worried throughout the pages. The novel had enough surprises and details to find out throughout to keep the reader interested. The romance that built between the characters was thrilling to read. The characters were developed well. The title of the book was even perfect for the story!
There were a couple of things that did not sit well with me however. Such as the few errors that I found within the pages. I also found the wording of some of the ‘feelings’ to be off. However, that was a personal feeling of mine and I have seen similar statements in novels that I have read before. It just does not sit well with me when used, but it is usable. That makes sense right? I found that Danielle acted really young a few times as well. Not entirely acting adult-like at times.
All in all, it was a great read. My name even made an appearance as the receptionist! Woot!

Why does she get to have him in public and I don’t? What other pieces of him were reserved only for her?

Recommendation
If you are a romance reader who enjoys erotic scenes, then you should check out this book.
NOTE: This book may contain triggering scenes for anyone who is triggered by assault themes.

I finished this book yesterday but waited a day to review.
Why?
Because I was screaming at the author, at Sebastian and my kindle.
I cursed.
I yelled.
And I want more.

You have your blurb you don't need me to tell you again so here are my thoughts.

Dani was a fairly strong character. For the past she's had to overcome, that occasionally comes back to haunt her she's still a pretty strong woman who is willing to take a chance on Sebastian.

Sebastian. I wanted to love him and at first I did. His occasional mood swings were nothing they couldn't recover from he just needed to explain where they were coming from.
Sebastian expects Dani to own up to everything that bothers her, that she fears but he doesn't do the same.
That's to be expected of an alpha male but in Sebastian's case by then end I despised him.
Sebastian in my opinion did the unforgivable to Dani at the very end of the book. Knowing her history, the way he snapped and treated her is completely unacceptable, saying I'm sorry please forgive me is not going to fix this one. And if it does that easily then Dani is not the woman I thought she was.
Were left with a cliffhanger, and I'm freaking dying to get my hands on the next book. I have to know what actually went down on the last page, though I have my suspicions I need it confirmed. And I'd like to see someone beat Sebastian black an blue.
Oh an I want Alana beaten within an inch of her life.
Comatose in a vegetative state would suit her just fine!

I have very strong feelings towards most of these characters.
Dani I adore, she's suffered but works to overcome and move on.
Geoff has his own demons but is the best friend Dani could have. They have stood by each other while they worked through their issues.
Dani's boss. This one's iffy for me. He hired her initially because of her abilities but I can't help but wonder if his promotion etc has to do with who she's dating or his actual trust in her.
Sebastian of course as I said I loved but now I want to pull a Tonya Harding on his ass, take him out at the knees for hurting Dani.

And the fact that I love and hate the people in this story. The fact that I laughed, I cried and I screamed at the author makes this a near perfect story for me.

My Thoughts on Run To You

This book starts off with a really dark moment that immediately pulls you into the story, and then you don't want to put it down until it's done. To be honest, I didn't want to stop then, but I had to cause it was just... over.
This story is one of those type of books I'm coming to love. Dominant CEO, aka Sebastian Black, who has a dark secret past we the reader have to learn about very slowly cause he's very closed lipped about it. But he's strong, powerful, and controlling in all aspects of his life. But when he meets his "one", he breaks all his rules and tries to become a more open person for her.
Sebastian's "one" is a woman named Dani. She has a dark past of her own and has trust issues. But meeting Sebastian sends her on a rollercoaster ride with emotional ups and downs and has her wondering if this can possibly work. I loved that Dani was mostly independent except for her awesome best friend/ roommate who is always there for her. She has a job she works hard at and a loving family.
I really really enjoyed this book. It had me hooked the whole way. If you love dominant and controlling CEOs and smart sassy women falling in love with a whole lot of steamy scenes mixed in then this is for you. But be warned, this will leave you with one heck of a shocking cliffhanger. I cannot wait for book two.

Run to You is the first book in the Run series written by Kandice Michelle Young. The book starts off with Danielle who lives with her best friend Geoff starting a new job at Princeton Enterprise Solutions. This is where she meets Sebastian Black; he is a client that comes in to discuss an upcoming event. The attraction is felt right away between Danielle. Sebastian is an alpha male in everything he does, including his pursuit of the women he can’t stop thinking of. But will the contract that he purposes to Danielle be too much for her? Will her past be too much for him? What will happen when Mr. Black crosses the line?
This book was a really good read. If you enjoyed the Crossfire series, this book is right up your alley. Kandice Michelle Young is able to really bring the characters to life. The relationship that starts to form between Sebastian and Danielle draws you and keep you there wondering what is going to happen next with them. Also there is the added suspense of trying to figure out what deep dark secret Sebastian is keeping. I definitely will continue to read this series. I have so many questions that I hope get answered in the next book, and have been sucked into the story line to the point now that I NEED to know what happens! This is a really great erotic romance; I would recommend anyone looking for a book in that genres to give this book a read. And you may want to keep an eye out for Kandice Young, I have a feeling that she is an author that is going to be coming out with some really great stuff!
