Jeff is a new dad and he loves it. Of course, he's named his baby boy after a 1970s progressive rock band.
But one morning, the baby's mother, Rita, walks out of the house and disappears without a trace.
Where has she gone?
Why did she leave?
Is she alive or dead?
Did she really ask local drug dealer, Hair Bear, for heroin?
In the face of police indifference, Nick, Julie and Jeff are determined to find her, but after being assaulted by Big Baz, a notorious local body builder, Nick is injured and starting to behave erratically. Soon he will have to choose whether to live or die.
In an intense, fast moving and devastating story, Nick realises that who he is, what he is, and why he is what he is, can help him solve the mystery of Rita's disappearance.
High Tees is the 7th Nick Guymer novel. Set in Stockton, Hartburn, Hardwick, Norton, Portrack, Guisborough and the North York Moors, it is a story about mentality, medicine and embarrassing bodies.
