Opening the door, I kiss my handsome man and smile as the children run into the home I’ve spent all day making perfect. I still can’t believe that I’m living in this warm, safe place that’s filled with laughter. But I’m always looking over my shoulder because I know that my gorgeous family could be taken away from me in heartbeat.
Because one woman has every reason to try and destroy me.
She’s watching and waiting for me to mess up. But I know what it’s like to have nothing and I’m determined not to let anyone come between me and the dream life I’ve worked so hard for.

Thoughts The second book in the Family Hunt trilogy. Although I found the first book more gripping this one was still just as enjoyable, however Sadie being persistent that her husband was in on it lowkey started to get annoying or maybe that's a me thing cause I already figured it out back in book 1 😅 but that ending??? We have another Luna(tic) joining??? Can't wait to pick up the third book ASAP
Meet Book #2 in Daniel Hurst's "The Hunt Family" series.
Even though the book is a standalone read, it's strongly advisable to read Book #1 first.
WHY? ➡️ "I Want Your Family" (Book #1) is better than Book #2. The first book's plotting and tension were significantly more impactful than Book #2. Quite frankly, the first book in this series set a high bar that Book #2 didn't reach. ➡️ Readers who start with the first book will have a more in-depth understanding of the characters' motivations showcased in the first book.
Even though this book was disappointing, I am still intrigued by this series and will definitely listen to Book #3 when it's released.
I listened to the audiobook, expertly narrated by Clare Corbett, Helen Keeley, and Nathaniel Priestley.
Full-cast audio narrations are always a treat, and all narrators gave outstanding performances.
I liked this one better than the first book in the series. The characters were more well-developed and Sadie finally got some backbone, giving me someone to root for! Luna is more diabolical than ever, Reed is still clueless and annoying, and Gemma plays a slightly bigger role. Looking forward to the conclusion in the next installment.
4⭐️ This was even better than the first book—I genuinely couldn’t put it down. From the very beginning, the tension builds quickly, and I found myself constantly wanting to read just one more chapter. If you enjoy stories full of tension, deception, and unexpected twists, this is definitely worth reading.
Reid is officially public enemy number one! Many may think it’s Luna (and honestly yes, they are kind of tied for this title lol). But his obliviousness troubled my whole soul in book 2. This was an amazing continuation of this series and Daniel Hurst is doing a great job bringing these characters to life. The narrators in the audiobook are amazing and adding intensity to these moments that have us yelling at our devices! Book 3, here I come.
This was my first Daniel Hurst book, but I’m anxiously waiting the next book in this series. This is the second book, and I didn’t read the first. I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything though.
This book is full of suspense. There are so many lies and so many secrets, and it feels like at any second everything will be revealed and/or someone’s life is about to blow up. I feel like the author wanted me to feel for Sadie and root for her, and dislike Luna.. which I did – for both! Reid just seems to blinded. He wants to believe what he wants to believe and doesn’t look at anything with a critical eye. I felt for the children too. The author did a great job of making the children act like children, especially those in a situation like that.
We got varying point of views here, which I really loved because it was first person point of view so we really got into the heads of these characters.
I HAVE to mention this.. THE END!! The CLIFFHANGER!!! I couldn’t believe it! I didn’t realize it was going to end on a cliffhanger, and when I read that it was the end of the book, I was screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO in my head! I need to figure out when the next one comes out because I need to know how this all plays out!!!!
It feels like an age has passed since I read the first book in this series - 𝗜 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 - in reality, it's been a month! I didn't bother with the blurb and dove straight in. It was like I'd never been away!
Luna was still as unhinged and duplicitous as before, but would her plans prevail? While she's one of the most unlikeable characters I've come across in a while, she's definitely one worth investing in.
The continuation was seamless, the pacing relentless, and the plot easily addictive.
4.25 ⭐️ Thanks to netgalley for an advanced reader copy of ‘I stole your family’ by Daniel Hurst. ‘I stole your family’ releases on March 20th, 2026. This novel is the second installment to the ‘family’ series and wow what a ride.
So far I am throughly enjoying the ‘family’ series by Daniel Hurst, but I have to say I enjoyed this book a little bit more than ‘I want your family.’
This novel has a very unhinged main character named Luna who brings lots of drama and chaos to the storyline. In the previous novel, ‘I want your family’, Luna drove Reid and his wife Sadie apart causing them to separate. Shortly after Reid & Sadie separated, Luna swooped in to get her perfect family. In ‘I stole your family’, Sadie is trying to figure out who set her up and is trying to get her family back.
This novel was full of lies, deception and dangerous decisions. It was plot twist after plot twist and made me stay up extra late to see what was going to happen. ‘I stole your family’ was unhinged, exhilarating & engaging. I’m looking forward to the last book in the ‘family’ series.

I have never read a book by this author but I will be reading more. Super quick read, short chapters and fast paced. All the things I want.
However, I didn't realize this was a series and this book is the second one. It ends in a total cliffhanger and now I have to wait until the end of April to read the new book and know what happens. Ugh.
I am so irritated that I always get caught up in a Hurst book only to find out it's in a series and that the series isn't all the way out yet! I binge the ones that are and then am left with the story living rent free in my mind (im)patiently counting down the days until the next one comes. That is where I am now.
April 20th is only 17 days away. Only.
Pros: I have been thinking about this psycho woman's actions when I'm not able to read (I'm a professional and full-time SAH toddlersaurasrex chaser) and have tried to read it every second I got if it meant even just a paragraph for a quiet 2.45 minutes. I would've devoured this in one setting if I could've.
That's how drawn in and invested I am.
Luna is a certifiable cray-cray. Her manipulative ways and how she's wedged herself into Reid's life is like reality TV except that no one knows what a plot this is except for her. No one knows what a fool they're being made of... except for her. Well, kind of. If you read this, you'll see what I mean.
I want to hate her. I really, really do, but like Joe Goldberg, when someone wants to be loved... they'll believe and do anything to achieve it. I love to hate and hate to love Luna. Her drama is intoxicating!
Cons: It's a cliffhanger but won't always be. Otherwise, I've not really got any!
Conclusion: First, don't read this without having read I Want Your Family before. Second, if you need a good series to binge that doesn't lose momentum, this is where it's at, y'all. You absolutely need to pick this book up if you liked the first one!
Second book in the series done and I am ready to start on the third and final one!! I am excited to find out how this trilogy ends 😁😁!! This was a definite 4 star book with many great developments throughout!! The characters continue to be engaging and entertaining 😊😊!! My complete review of the trilogy will be at the end of the third book!! Enjoy😊😊!!
This is good. So many twists and turns. It's so scary when little ones are involved. Who will win? Whoo will still be standing? Wish I had known it was a cliffhanger to be continued. I would have delayed reading it until the other book was released.
I’m loving this series and am also giving this 2nd installment a flaming 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I’m not giving away much more than what’s in the official blurb, BUT I highly recommend reading the series in order. 😉
Lucky Luna the lunatic is no longer living a lonely life. She proved to be clever and calculating, getting everything she ever wanted—someone else’s family... Sadie’s family.
Luna was the gasoline to Reid’s matches, leaving Sadie roasting in a pit-y party for one. 🔥 But now that the ashes have settled, Sadie is left out in the cold.🧊
One way or another, she will figure out what happened, why it happened, and who is responsible for everything that’s occurred. Can Scorned Sadie struggle back to the surface and reclaim her life, or will Lucky Luna continue to live la vida loca?
I can’t wait for the final installment on 4/20/26!

I Stole Your Family is book 2 in The Hunt Family series by Daniel Hurst. It's a fast-paced thriller loaded with suspense. I would highly recommend that you read book 1 in the series before reading this one. Luna is living with Reid and the kids in Sadie's former home with Sadie's family. How did this happen so quickly? Luna found a way to be everything that Reid wanted and needed. Sadie is living with her parents as they wait for their home to be built after the fire. She's going nuts watching another woman take her place and live with her kids. She has to find out who set her up so that she can get her family back! Will Gemma be the person to help her even though she's in prison? Gemma swears she's innocent and was also set up! Will Gemma and Sadie be able to figure out who's behind this? Will Luna be able to keep her new family and home even though someone knows what she did? Things get heated up in this second book so be prepared to read this in one sitting! I rate I Stole Your Family 4 stars with a high recommendation. I'd like to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for an advanced copy of I Stole Your Family in exchange for a fair review. #IStoleYourFamily
Thank you to Netgalley and the UK publishers for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I am enjoying this series. It is so easy to read, and I love the messy characters. It can be frustrating as characters overlook the obvious, but I like feeling something when I'm reading, so that doesn't bother me.
I definitely feel like the first book was more action packed, and I was on the edge of my seat much more reading that. This sequel felt like it was solely designed to tee up an explosive finale to the Trilogy, and not a lot actually happened. Although the events were necessary to do this, it could have been much shorter, perhaps a short story or novella to bridge a duology?
ARC review 4⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Daniel Hurst for providing me with an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Sadly, I wasn’t able to finish this one before its release date, and I also wish I had read book one first. That being said, this was still such a great read — I absolutely loved it. This is my first book by Daniel Hurst, and even though this is the second book in the trilogy, I never felt completely lost or like I was missing anything essential from the first book. If anything, it just gave me major FOMO for not discovering the series sooner, especially since I didn’t realize going in that this was book two. And all I can say is… Daniel, are you kidding me?! That ending had me shocked and needing the next book immediately.
This one is the definition of calculated chaos, and I mean that in a good way! We're following Luna, who has completely reinvented herself, stepping into a life that was never hers... and wearing it convincingly well. She's not just pretending, she's perfected it. Then there's Sadie, left picking up the shattered pieces after her marriage implodes. Her pain feels raw and real and watching her start to question everything pulls you deeper into the story with every page. The dynamic between Luna, Sadie, and Reid is messy, explosive, and layered with tension. Nothing feels simple and no one feels entirely innocent. This is the second book in this series but it can 100% be read as a standalone without missing any key details. If you want a quick popcorn thriller where identity, obsession, and revenge blur together, give this one a shot!
Thank you to NetGalley, Daniel Hurst, and Bookouture for this eARC!
Wow I loved this book! I cannot wait for the next one to find out what happens!
Book 2 in The Hunt Family series and Sadie will stop at nothing to get her kids back. Luna is enjoying her new family life and can’t believe how well it’s going for her but she’s always looking over her shoulder because she knows her amazing family could be taken away from her in a heartbeat.
This is the second book of the The Hunt Family and it was a good book really enjoyed it!!
She has everything to lose…
Opening the door, I kiss my handsome man and smile as the children run into the home I’ve spent all day making perfect. I still can’t believe that I’m living in this warm, safe place that’s filled with laughter. But I’m always looking over my shoulder because I know that my gorgeous family could be taken away from me in a heartbeat.
Thank you Bookouture for a copy on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I Stole Your Family is the second book in the Hunt family trilogy. It continues the sinister adventures of Luna and Sadie. Two women with evil agendas on their minds. This book adds another point of view with Reid, the husband, taking one. There’s no twist but it’s definitely filled with suspense and tension. Another winner from UK’s extraordinaire of the thriller genre.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc. I love Daniel Hurst books! They are so good and always make you want more! I was sad on this one when it got to the end, but since this is a trilogy, at least I can look forward to book 3! This was so intriguing, it pulled me in and didn't let me go!
Wow! I think this was even better than book 1. Im fully rooting for Sadie. Highly recommend this book. Definitely read book 1 first though. So excited to read book 3! Thanks Netgalley for letting me read this book for an honest review
I STOLE YOUR FAMILY BY DANIEL HURST. 5 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨s. Release day set for the 20th of March 2026. Book 2. I really enjoyed this second book and really looking forward to jumping onto book 3 ☺ She's still bat shit crazy 🤪
I know I said, in the review of the first book, that I wouldn't read the second right away but I lied. I needed to know. This is what happens when you start a thriller series. You NEED to know. And like Reid said: wow. 24 more days before the third book comes out. That is going to be long.
I know these Daniel Hurst books are junk food, not literature, but junk food should be satisfying. This was a pure waste of time. Nothing happens. Nothing.
In part 1, the protagonist of this sequel loses her husband, children and home to another woman. I'm not kidding (I did the math): Only after 93% of the book has elapsed does she make the most obvious conclusion in the world: "Maybe the person to blame...is the person who gained everything I lost?"
Obviously.
Did you notice that part 3 is going to be released only a few weeks after this one? That's a dead giveaway that this is a cash-grab. A legitimate entry in a book series would be satisfying enough for readers to wait a little while for the next one.
Booker Prize winner and literary legend Ian McEwan doesn't have a single book with a Goodreads score of 4.00 or higher. Not even Atonement. Even by the standards of lightweight domestic thrillers, I Stole Your Family is shoddy junk. And it has a 4.23. I'm so embarrassed to have joined this site.
