Powerful choices and consequences for Amy Lee Davenport as she moves from mortal to the world of made vampire, and deciding if she will choose from the moving from the role of Heir apparent of House Gray, for Lady Juliana Gray and accept the position of Heir, that Julianna has offered, or face…alternatives.
While Amy deliberates carefully, high vampire society judges the outcome via tea parties and society events hosted by House Gray. And then an explosive event occurs and death at the hands of a possible rogue vampire is discovered, with distant past links to House Gray.
Paranormal mystery are so enjoyable with Amy - thoughtful, compassionate and likable as a main character. She is a jewel - a remarkable friend and daughter for any family, traditional or noble, and this community appreciates her because she SEES them., listens to their opinions and values them for their ideas. And seriously who would not want perfect porcelain skin and zero wrinkles - hellllo?!).
The support of the community assembled throughout the novel for Juliana, the head of House Gray, warms wonderfully to Amy throughout the story as well, developing their own relationship with her independently, particularly with Agnes, House Steward, who runs the Gray household. Younger household members Rory and Roberto, all key relationships unique for Amy as her own choices and healthy choices and friendship without ulterior motives as to what they might do for her as to status, other than happiness and joy that friends bring. They are unique in the vampire world for that choice alone.
Amy and Juliana’s cousin Nic chase leads to find the rogue and what is happening, leading to much more unexpected discovery of the background of the house of Gray, and eventually the true villain, in addition to hidden previous murders, as well as real evil looks like. When the villain is exposed and turned over to the authorities, the novel completes with remarkable ending, and an absolutely worthwhile read

Definitely not Twilight, but close
I have been reading this series since the middle of last week and just finished book 3. My title was not to slander the author, but to compliment the work. I have read all the Twilight books and they were very contagious. Once you started reading the book, it grabbed you with its claws and would not let go until you were done. The same applies to these books 🙂. I have yet to find a spot where I have been bored. I love the take on vampires and their struggle in a world full of mundanes 🤔😀. It's not old time Dracula, but an updated one. The coexistence with humans also brings the book in light with how people react with different nationalities. As I continue the series, I look forward to the challenges and fears that the new Lady Gray will encounter.

Big decision
Amy us still learning the ways of the House of Gray and deciding what her future will be. This book in the series had a lot of information about Julianna and her family and plenty of action for Amy, Nic, and Rory. With everything that happened in this book I am looking forward to the next to see what other secrets are revealed.

Another fun read in a very entertaining series. I have enjoyed each and every book. Interesting characters, fun plot twists, and a fascinating storyline.
