Born in Croydon, London, on July 6, 1919, Victor Miller spent his early years in the borough. Post-school, he worked as an estate agent before enlisting in 1939. Post-war, he moved to New York, working in Import/Export, and later returned to Croydon, retiring in 1980. This revised edition of his book is a collaborative effort by his sons, Christopher and the late Peter J. Miller, and Peter's wife, Janis Moran, timed for the 70th anniversary of WWII's end.
