Faith Gibson's love of books started early on. So much so that she decided to write her own stories. When a college professor told her she had a gift, she took him at his word and put pen to paper (because back then, there were no computers. Shh, we don't mention her age.)

Her love of all things paranormal mixed with crazy dreams led to her first series, The Stone Society, about Gargoyle shifters in search of their mates while protecting humanity from unhinged beasts known as The Unholy. The Hounds of Zeus MC series was born from one of their own being a mate of a Gargoyle. The Rebel Moon Shifters are the next generation, all the kids from the first two series.

Faith also abbles in MM worlds and contemporary suspense, but her first and forever love is fantasy.

When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be found reading, cooking, playing in the dirt (planting stuff) or playing with her staffy pup, all while listening to hard rock music.

I didn't read Rafael, I was told how good it was and now that I read Gregor I can see why!

Tessa is a hot head and she doesn't want to settle down, but that Hot Gargoyle she bumped into 3 years ago is still imprinted in her mind. She has followed his life without his knowing, but she still won't give in to the bonding, she can't put him in danger!

Gregor, Rafael's brother is heartbroken, he really thinks his mate hates him, but he is not going to give up...He has made it his mission to break her down, but the sassy red head is not easy to tame...

Will these two get to have a happy ever after with a maniac on the lose killing women so similar in appearance to Tessa? Will Tessa escape this lunatic, will Gregor get to her in time?

Lots of action, car chases and passion, meant to keep you on the edge of your seat. I laughed, almost cried and smiled a lot, I even jumped for joy!

I highly recommend this book!

I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review.

This was a nice addition to this series. I really liked Gregor and his bossy alpha behavior. All of the brothers and cousins are quite interesting in their own right and I look forward to their stories.

The only issue I had with this story was Tessa. Good grief she was annoying. This should sum up my opinion nicely:

My love of this series is set in Gargoyle Stone! 5 stars

FANGTASTIC!!! I absolutely love this book (& the series!)!!! I am completely, utterly, wholeheartedly obsessively addicted to this series from Faith Gibson!!! This is the second book in the Stone Society series and it just keeps getting better & better! Which is saying a LOT because the first book was also FANGTASTIC too! It continues the great, gritty & intense “behind the scenes” / background main storyline that started with the first book – Rafael. There’s also multiple side storylines as well as the main focus to this book which is Gregor & Tessa’s story. I find that instead of potentially complicating, confusing or taking the focus away from Gregor & Tessa, it actually does the opposite! Having the extra side stories going on only adds to the draw of this series by giving it depth, humor and an intensely hot & sexy vibe! I had never read a Gargoyle Shifter book before this series by Faith, so I do have to give her credit for taking a very unique and rare “species” and creating one helluva roller coaster ride that I do not want to end any time soon! And I am hoping that since there are a LOT of hot & sexy Goyles that we have been introduced to, that it means that the end is NOT near! Not to mention that the main story arc to the series has a lot of depth to it so I don’t see it being wrapped up too quickly either! There are so many “little” moments inside this book and since I don’t want to ruin any of them for you, writing this review is quite a “hard” task! Of course, I am NOT complaining at all! Suffice it to say, but this is one book you will not want to put down! Do you like to read books that are unique, hot and sexy, have hilarious moments and one liners? Do you like books that have a new breed of sexy Alpha shifters complete with a rich & deep history and great new world in which they rule, all the while keeping their true identities a secret from the very people they are trying to protect? Then look no further!!! Faith Gibson’s Stone Society Series has it all and oh so much more!! There are a lot of subtle hints and intrigue going on with the characters and their histories, but Faith has done an exemplary job teasing you, giving you clues or hints as well as answering some of those hints / giving you the information you need at that time and not a moment too soon but also not too much information that you can’t keep up. I cannot wait to see if any of my guesses are even close to being correct, but since I have only figured out a couple of thing just (barely) before the “truth” is “revealed”, I am not holding my breath! LOL I have never been so happy to be wrong though because it shows that nothing about this book, or the series, is typical, predictable, mainstream or “cookie cutter”! And that is EXACTLY what I like in my paranormal books! Although at the same time, it is also one reason that I “hate” coming into a great series from the start – there isn’t enough books published to feed my addiction and I don’t have the patience to wait for the next books! LOL All in all – You can easily see just how talented Faith is right from the first page! I was pulled in right from the very start of Rafael and am still as enthralled at the end of Gregor. I firmly believe that it takes a very talented author to be able to write a series of this magnitude. Faith not only does this magnificently, but to have the scope, depth & calibre that this series does have, proves just how gifted Faith truly is. Faith takes you on a very romantic, magical, beautiful, humorous and intense roller coaster ride that you will NOT want to end! I cannot wait to read the next book(s)!!! This is the second book of Faith’s that I have read, but boy do I have “faith” in her especially if this is any indication to her style of writing, then I think it would be safe to say that ANY of her books will be fantastic!!!

I made the mistake of starting this with the audiobook format....horrible. The voices, the everything about it was bad. Now I can't get their voices out of my head when I try to read it. Will have to come back at a later date when I've forgotten the horror.

One Word Rec.: BUY

Rating: 4 1/2 STARS

Gibson, Faith; GREGOR [ Stone Society #2]

ebook; genre: { paranormal romance }; shelves: |shifters: gargoyle|, |post-apocolyptic world|

General Synopsis:
This is the second book in Faith Gibson's Stone Society series. Featuring: GARGOYLE shifters!

To begin this review, I am using a quote from the series. I am not going to use the spoiler link, so I tell you this now, please turn away if you feel this might ruin your enjoyment of the book.

2014:
"The Mayans got it right. Almost. The bombing of Dr. Jonas Montague’s clinic in Atlanta, Georgia by a group of religious heretics set off a chain of events that left the world in a state of de-evolution. The country was divided, literally. Bombings across America caused the underground fault lines to fissure. The result was a canyon as large as the one named Grand, splitting the US of A almost exactly in half. Civil wars broke out. Governments crumbled." - Rafael

2047
New Atlanta, GA : 33 years ago, Jonas Montague successfully created the first cloned baby. It could be said, this was the beginning of the end, but life survived. On the other hand, how many people ever thought about the fate of Elizabeth Flanagan, Gordon Flanagan's wife who ran from him? Or the baby, Andrea Flanagan, who was cloned? Life continued for the world, but these two women were forced into hiding, always trying to be one step ahead of Gordon Flanagan and the army he made to help locate them.

Tessa Blackmore was that baby. She is always on the move. She is a Watcher, watching over the half-blood's of her family, helping them through their transition when it comes upon them. And she knows the secret, the secret that triggers their human selves to become Goyle. Because it happened to her that fateful night 3 years ago when she transitioned. The night she met her mate, Warden Gregor Stone.

Gregor Stone never forgot that encounter 3 years ago. Now the truth is out, and it's possible for Goyles and humans to mate. Soon, fate throws Tessa back into his life, and he realizes she is his mate, but Tessa herself seems to be against the mating, or is she? Also, women who a bear a resemblance to Tessa are being killed, and it becomes apparent that Gordon Flanagan might be using this to flush out Tessa's whereabouts. How will this Goyle protect his mate?

I ask that you check out my PO section, as I go into a little more detail on some of the reasons I really enjoy this book & series.

Characters/fu-bo list:
Note: My fu-bo lists tend to be very long, which is why I have decided to start putting them under a spoiler link, but for this series, my reason for putting it under a spoiler link is explained in the PO section of my review.

Personal Opinion:
Note: this is used in my previous review of Rafael, mainly because it holds true throughout the entire series. I might include additional information at the bottom, so if you have already read my ranting, please feel free to skip to the bottom to see if there is anything new. ❀.(*´◡`*)❀.

For anyone who has read my reviews in the past, you know I'm a fangirl. My fandoms keep growing, Crowley says it best!

I LOVE Gargoyles. Truth. I have been a fan since Disney's Gargoyles. In the shifter lineup, they are second in books I would love to read. Dragons of course being first, Bears now being in third, supplanted by Gargoyles because truth be told, not a lot of authors write about Gargoyles. I know E.A. Price has written a couple (and sadly, at this time, I have not read them yet, but I plan to) and Mandy M. Roth has had one in the works, but hasn't released it yet (at this time). That being said, when I first came across Faith Gibson's Gargoyle series I was super excited. How could I not be, it was like *squee* #feels #Goliath in book form ٩(*❛⊰❛)ʓਡ~❤.

So, as you can see from the very concept, I was in love with this book/series. But that is just the beginning of what I enjoy about this series. I like the concept and I have to admit I am not always a big fan of the post-apocolypse/dystopian genre, but it plays well in the world building of this series. The world might be set in 2047, but it's pretty much similar to our world now, which makes it easier to relate to I feel.

Another thing I really like about this book/series (and what I have alluded to throughout my review), is the multi-point of views this book uses to kind of give us a 3D experience while we are reading. It also allows us the reader to see where the series is heading, as in while we are reading this book, the other characters are finding their mates and their stories are beginning before we actually get a chance to pick up their book. I guess what it makes me think of is being cinematic. Things are happening on screen and off screen from what we are viewing. I do not think that is coming out correct, so let me try again. The main plot of Gregor is the romance between Gregor and Tessa. They, are our protagonists, while Gordon Flanagan & Richard Merrick, who are searching for Andrea/Tessa, and Alistair, the gargoyle who is responsible for banishing Jonas Montague because he mated with a human, & threatens war between the Gargoyle clans, are our antagonists. But, as mentioned in previous reviews, the secondary characters, while this romance is developing exists and breathes (as does the looming threat of war), just like you or I, and we as readers get to see this away from that main focus. Another thing I like is as the series progresses, we get to see the relationships from the previous books continue to grow, which I feel allows is readers to continue our kinship with those we have read and enjoyed in the past. When I was trying to come up for the word "cinematic," my mind actually said "like a soap opera," but I didn't know how to explain it in that form either, *laughing* Well, I hope you get my idea. I HIGHLY recommend checking out this series, (and as I have continued the series, I can tell you it only gets better as each book continues) and of course it's not just because they feature gargoyles. I don't know, did I tell you it features gargoyles?

The only thing other than what is mentioned above, is

Gregor and Tessa are explosive in this second offering from Faith Gibson's Stone Society. From the beginning you can feel the tension in the air between the full blood and the half breed. Gregor knows the tension is caused by the mate bond. Tessa on the other hand, she is reluctant to accept it. She still worries that when the full bloods find out about the half bloods they will be ostracised has the had been in early days of human and Goyle bonding.

A badass motorcycle riding, free spirit, unencumbered by relationships of any real significance, Tessa wants no part of what Gregor is offering, well except maybe the sex. But her first priority is keeping Isabelle and the other half bloods safe. Gregor is a distraction that she has no time for. Once Tessa gives in to her basic sexual desires she's torn. This man/gargoyle has what her heart and body need but is it what her mind wants?

Gregor only knows that for the first time in his 500+ years of life, he has never felt the pull to another like he does with Tessa. Learning that it is possible for humans and gargoyles to mate, he is not giving up on his chance for a real companion. Not even bullets can penetrate his desire to make Tessa his. Cracking her stoney exterior is now his top priority.

Faith Gibson has done a stellar job of weaving comedic scenes with hot steamy sex. All the while telling the tale of the gargoyle and happenings in New Atlanta. In Gregor we learn more about the history of the half blood and full blood gargoyle. The secrets of the past are exposed as we taken on this wild ride with Gregor and Tessa.

While Loved Rafael (book 1), Gregor is so much more....just more! The intrigue and the sex really kept me on the edge of my seat. I did not want to stop reading and when she wrapped it up i was not happy to put it down. My only thought was "when do i get the next book"?

As i said in my review of Rafael, paranormal is not my usual genre and I admit, i still have not ventured out to read other paranormal books, but The Stone Society series really has me hooked. Thanks to Faith for opening up a new world for me, but especially for the world of The Stone Society!

*I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review. I honestly loved this book!!

I received this as an ARC for an honest review. I may or may not post spoilers.

Now, I received this awhile back, but was not in the right frame of mind or mood to read it and give it a fair open mind. So I sat it to the side till I was in the right frame of mind/mood to give it justice. Which makes the author happy and myself. As, I hate giving bad reviews!

Now this is book 2 of this set and it can stand alone without you getting too lost. But I would highly Stress you buy book 1 so you will understand ALL that is happening in this book.

This story is from Gregor and Tessa (as I think of her) and a killer who is targeting red haired green eyed women. While Tessa is almost clueless and keeps the chemistry flowing between her and Gregor with her foul mouth and running away.

This books does have some super steamy parts!! So be ready to stay glued to the book till its finish. I should know as I tried to finish it in a day. Even at my speed reading and staying up late it still took me almost 3 days to finish! So you are getting your moneys worth with this full length story!

This has a super great plot, has clones... and so much more from family infighting to betrayal by family to finding the leads to the next set which is sooo exciting to see! I can not wait to start the next book of this set!!!

5 Stars! Gregor is the second book in the Stone Society series by Faith Gibson. I was not disappointed. In this book I was more comfortable with all the main and side characters. I love Gregor (Gargoyle shifter), he was the right everything. At first I didn’t like Tessa, but you get her reasons for being such a pain in the ass. The side stories were entertaining and leaving you wanting more. I’m loving this villain. This series could go on forever (well I hope it does!). I would recommend that you read Rafael first for full enjoyment.

The world that this author has created is quite unique and wonderful to read.
I'm really getting into the characters and the continuing story-line.
The only reason I didn't give this book a higher rating is that sometimes the dialogue between the main characters kinda annoyed me.

Other than that, this was a fun, quick read.

Action & Shooting!

Gregor is the brother that works in the Pen or Prison as the head person in charge; Tessa is a wild child that moves around a lot & has many different aliases because she watches over her cousins that are 1/2 blooded gargoyles to help them if need be thru their transition.

Tessa is really Andrea Flanagan, the daughter of the evil bad Flanagan who created the Unholy creatures that Gregor & his Clan go after in order to protect everyone else. This piece of information comes out in this book along with a few others.

Tessa has known for quite some time that Gregor is her mate because it caused her to go thru her transition. The 1/2 blooded gargoyles go thru their transitions when they meet their mate whereas the full blooded ones like Gregor, his brothers & cousins go thru it around puberty. & there aren't many women gargoyles. Gregor & his Clan not only find out that gargoyles & their human mates can have children but that also puts a standstill on their human mate's aging; they find out that their uncle Alistair is against gargoyle & human matings & that might cause a war between them. But, Gregor's brother, Rafael who is also their King doesn't care as his mate Kaya is human & welcomes the 1/2 blooded into the Clan.

In this book there is someone going around & killing other women who look like Tessa & they do finally catch him; I believe that I know who Vincent Alexander truly is (Gabriel, a relative of Isabelle's & Tessa's but because he's been tortured by scientists hired by Flanagan & then left for dead).

This book was very good & so far this series is off to a good start; I definitely will be reading the next book in this series.

Want gargoyle stories? Start here!

I read the first book in this series in KU and fell in love with the characters. I watched and hoped that more would be added to KU. My wish had been granted and I could now read Gregor. I again fell for the characters. This whole family is loving, faithful and will do anything to help family, protect hmans and care for their mates with everything in them. I totally endorse the first two books of this series.
Tessa has known that Gregor is her mate for three years. But because she is a half gargoyle instead of full-blooded like him, she has been avoiding him. She is also a "watcher" for her cousins who are also half gargoyle. She helps them through their transitions.
Due to extenuating circumstances Gregor meets her face to face and realizes that she is his mate. She has her reasons for not being with him. He wants to know what those reasons are.
Flannegan (who thinks he is Tessa's father) has sent a man to find her. The man has been killing women who look like Tessa in order to draw her out.
If you are looking for a suspense-filled book filled with drama and intrigue then give this book a try. I believe that you should read book one first though because it moves forward on information given previously and things might not make sense without it.

I have to say Faith Gibson is one great author and she did it again with Gregor. I was taken by the story of Gregor and Tessa. I really got into the whole Gargoyle lifestyle and could just visualize the drama that unfolded throughout the entire book. Gregor was the warden of the prison and Tessa was a watcher of the half-blood gargoyles. She was to help the half bloods transition to being a gargoyle. Gregor and Tessa fight each others attraction even though they are mates. Tess is a very hot headed, sexy red head who doesn't want to mate with Gregor and is very determined to stay away from him. As for Gregor he constantly tries to make Tessa see they are to be mated and together forever and he has a very hard time with that. There are people after Tessa so Gregor must protect her. I won't ruin the ending but you really would love this book. I give it a five stars because it was well written and kept me entertained to the extent I couldn't just stop reading. I was really into the story of Gregor and Tessa and loved it. I now am wanting to read book three in this series.

Ok

When I decided to read this book, I was hoping that it was going to be better than the first in this series. It was a little better but not by much. The story line was good, but it jumped around. The sex/romantic scenes were not sexy but more perverted. This author could use some guidance on how to wright a romantic scene. The language did not get any better when it came to anatomy. During some seems in the book, it was like a child was telling the story. I did like that the story was not just about one couple but others in the clan. I think I will take a brake from this series. As I read other books, if this series calls to me I will start the third book, but for now I think I am done. I am disappointed I was hoping this series would get better.

I don’t know how to process the threads left hanging

Tessa, Gordon Flanagan’s “stolen daughter” and watcher of half-human, half-gargoyle offspring, met Gregor, full-blood gargoyle and prison warden, a few years ago when they both happened to stop for gas at the same station. As the story progresses she fights against their connection, he fights for a chance, and when her past makes a reappearance there are dire consequences for more than just them. Faith Gibson draws the reader further into her new world order with Gregor. I don’t know how to process the threads left hanging in this one, but I suppose I’ll just have to read the rest of the series to find out.

Gregor book 2 in the series is just as great as book 1. Tessa is the perfect mate for Gregor, challenging him at every turn. As I have come to expect from this series there is plenty of action, some suspense a few hot and steamy moments. Over all an amazing roller coaster from beginning to end. This can be read as a stand alone I would recommend reading the series in order. Go one click.

Wonderful work!

The second book of the Stone Society was just as good as the first. With a little bit of adventure and a whole lot of gargoyle jumping, this 2nd book keeps the "Society" busy. The couple's are pairing up for their own adventures that end in a great HEA! See you in the next adventure of Stone Society!!!

The thing with series is that its very easy to write the same formulaic story over n over again with a few name changes n slight plot change.

Sadly this did it for me. I was bored and almost dnf several times.

It lost the pace n just padded on and on.

Think this is the end of the series for me

This story not only tells the story of Gregor and Andrea Flanagan/Tessa Blackmore, but also more half bloods. And more half blood facts and history. Tessa is a major pottymouth, and great at being a pain in Gregor's butt.

Good series

I like this series. The different POV I don’t find confusing but it is a lot of characters to keep track of. Tessa a bit to much of a harda$$ but I still liked her. Love all the Gargoyles though. It’s a fun and interesting series. Lots of action.
