Interesting. Emotional. Unusual. Intriguing.

Lindsey Hart’s new book is very different than her previous, light-hearted books. Only Ms. Hart can take an MMC with a dual personality and have you laughing and crying through the book. Rayvos/Rael and his therapist, Prudence Hawk, provide a very interesting, emotional, spicy, and out of the ordinary story.

After the first few chapters, I considered not finishing the book, but I’m glad that I chose to read it all, especially when I got to Chapter 9. Ms. Hart very skillfully described Rayvos’s inner feelings in this excerpt:

“Being seen and then still being safe is a very strong, motivating force. It’s important to be able to be honest with ourselves, and finding a person we can do that with is exceptionally rare. To have kindness and understanding on top of all that makes for a very attractive package in a person. Meeting someone who sees you and your darkness, your mess, and your imperfections, and wants to help you grow, but doesn’t demand you change, is even rarer.”

There’s no third act breakup and it has a happily after ending. It is told in all three character’s POV’s. If you want to read a book that isn’t just another generic romance story, then I recommend that you indulge in this one! Interesting take on a ‘reverse harem’ type trope. Therapist Hawk rises to the challenge of mediating between two distinct personalities who inhabit the same body. Rael is the ‘hidden’ one fighting for his time out in the open and disrupting Rayvos’ organised, quiet life. This is a fascinating read; it could so easily become too strange to follow, but Lindsey Hart weaves the narrative very well and the reader feels sympathy for both these distinct personalities. Rael is cheeky and supremely self- confident (I loved his ‘stalking’ of Hawk – although it is Rayvos who suffers for it!) whilst Rayvos is the gentle, serious businessman – trying hard to conceal his ‘twin’ from his parents who have never understood. A truly original story with a satisfying HEA.

This dark romance pulled me in with its captivating and, at times, intense storytelling. The characters are complex and layered, each with their own flaws and secrets that make them feel real and engaging. I especially enjoyed how the dynamics between the leads developed—it was both passionate and unsettling in the best way for a dark romance.

The plot kept me interested from start to finish, with just the right amount of suspense and emotional twists. The overall story was well-paced and delivered the drama and tension I was hoping for. Rayvos has tried his whole life to keep a part of him hidden. Rael. Where Rayvos is the calm, organized, driven personality, Rael is the complete opposite. He is chaos, fun, trouble. And Rael is tired of being hidden.

This is how they meet Dr. Hawk, aka Hawk. She is the new therapist and understands and takes to them from the start. As each personality makes himself known and apparent, Hawk likes both sides. Which is good, as both Rayvos and Rael like Hawk.

Fun story to read. I would definitely read the blurb first to get an understanding of the story. This was different but entertaining overall.

This is a different approach from Lindsey but still a very good read. I took a bit of time before I got into the 'swing' of the story. But I loved it. The struggling between the dual personalities Ravyos, the quiet controlled personality and Rael the unruly, outrageous side who at times has no "brakes" on what he considers to be okay behaviour. Their therapist, Hawk, against her best judgement has fallen for 'both' of them. But you need to read the book to find how this plays out. Another entertaining read, well written with an HEA.

It is an off limits romance between a dual personality hero, Rayvos/Rael, and his therapist Prudence. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. What starts out as a plea for help turns into something more. It is a slow burn love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. Not your normal romance.

Rael is obsessed with their new therapist Dr. Prudence Hawk. At first our ethical Prudence refuses the advances of Rael, but does it last? What occurs as our M/M's fight for dominance and the possession of Prudence was an engaging story. Love reading the POV's of our likable characters minds and their desires as this story unfolded in this dark romance. I'd received a copy and volunteer to read and review.

I really enjoyed this book! It is different than the normal romance trope that I read. The H has multiple personalities and feels they will never find love. Their families are not understanding and looking for someone to "fix" their son. One of the personalities decides their new therapist understands them and could be the one for them. It goes their their journey of finding love and acceptance with their family. If you are looking for something different in romance books, give this one a try!

I enjoy reading this author and will blindly pickup a new book without even reading the back. This was one of those books and I was on a ride that surprised and intrigued me. I loved the unique twist and the eye opening adventure of one small aspect of the wide world of mental health. I loved meeting Rayvos, Rael and Hawk. My Hot Obsession was completely different from other books in this series. It's a dark romance, but not overly dark. The MMC has 2 very different personalities living in 1 body and the FMC is his therapist. Rayvos is the calm and controlled personality. Rael is the unruly and chaotic personality who is obsessed with their new therapist, Prudence Hawk. As both personalities fight for dominance, a crazy and very intriguing romance unfolds. A fun and unique story with great characters. Slow burn with hot chemistry and steam.

Oh wow! That was my reaction when Rael suddenly announced that she, the FMC, is going to be their wife. I've read books about dissociative personality, but this is more of a romance story; it's not as dark as other psychological thrillers that are pretty intense. It has its own kind of thrills. Sometimes I don't know if I should be afraid, confused, or excited, but it’s pretty cool how these three managed to find their own happily ever after.

A story about a psychiatrist falling in love with a man with dual personalities was unexpected but quite thought provoking. I enjoyed reading this book, but it ended way too soon. Rayvos and Rael have finally found a therapist that seems to understand them. Hawk is a great therapist but all therapists have a breaking point and these two seem to be it. They each have thoughts about each other and should probably not be encouraged but Rael seems to have no self control and oversteps boundaries to the point of stalking Hawk.

My Hot Obsession is the fifth book in the Scandalous Billionaires series. This book was something new from the author, and that was not in a bad way either. The story is edgier, has you laughing and then gasping, and deals with a multiple personality MMC. So hold on tight as you get taken on a romance ride to a lovely HEA.
