The author lost her touch here. Why? Because it was like she tried to copy H. D. Carlton’s Hunting Adeline. I’m all for stealing like an artist. However, this author had a good thing going, besides it being rushed. This could have been a great story had it not had so many familiar tones as Carlton’s Cat Mouse duet.
