Grumpy Dad, Real Sunshine: A Grumpy/Sunshine Age Gap Single Dad Nanny Hockey Romance

Rate this book
☀️🔥 A sunshiney grad student becomes nanny to a grumpy single dad hockey player in this spicy, forced-proximity rom-com 🏒🌶️All I needed was a paycheck to cover tuition.

Instead, I got a nanny gig caring for the cutest kid ever, and her impossibly hot, infuriatingly grumpy, hockey‑star dad.
Cal Benson. Defenseman, devoted single father, and a brooding wall of muscle who somehow makes "responsible dad mode" look hot.

Between juggling classes, student loans, and a dangerous addiction to Cal’s woodsy cologne, I’m determined to keep things professional.
Then a freak accident left me injured and living in his guest room.
His offer? Stay as long as I need and help with Noelle when I can.
Simple enough… until a family birthday party, where he introduces me as his Ginger.
Until late‑night pizza on the couch, his grumpy walls down, and he gives me that soft, secret smile.
Until I realize his protective instincts and gentle touches aren't just about being nice.
And then I made the worst mistake possible.
I fell head over crutches for my kind, gorgeous, completely off-limits boss.

this was… meh.

the conversations felt stilted. there was no chemistry between the mc’s. the way they spoke to the 5 year old felt awkward and weird. he blew up, multiple times, for what? they added the bio mum for some drama but it did nothing. apparently the fmc knowing she bailed on him and their daughter meant nothing because she automatically assumed he was going back to her?

idk man. this was lame. it’s not really a hockey romance. it’s a smut book with a mild story line (that doesn’t feel cohesive), repeating the same things (he’s too old because he’s 30) while the mmc is a semi-pro hockey player.

i’m glad it was only 200~ odd pages because…
*what in the wattpadd?*
