Astaroth Lightmoor, the Black Archer and Vesperish Quixley, whom he calls Sunkiller, pair up to stop The Serpent Treaty, an infamous radical group.
While Astaroth is terribly obsessed with his vicious Sunkiller, she does not return the sentiment.
Vesper is vain, selfish and bloodthirsty. The walls around her heart, built high.
Only... the Archer does not miss his targets, and he has his sights set on that guarded heart of hers.

It was only when Astaroth had seen the true breadth of Christian Morningstar’s sins that he finally understood what he had meant."
