ughhh I LOVED THIS AND I NEED MORE!!!!
Valerie Hunter has done it yet again, except instead of delivering hot, chaotic, and perpetually broke main characters like the first installment, we got hot, mysterious, and brainy scientists this time around.

Yasmine and Bella were absolutely great. Their dynamic and chemistry was a hit from their first interaction, and it just kept getting better as the book went on. We also get to see more of Aster and Sylvia, which is *always* a plus. And speaking of Sylvia, her friendship with Yasmine is literally the funniest thing ever.

The ending did feel like it was wrapped up rather quickly and could’ve shown more of Yasmine and Bella’s relationship post-resolution, but I’m also just greedy and would read 300 more pages of this simply because I love it.

I need this author to keep making books because I’m obsessed!!!! I will auto-buy anything she announces!!!

BREATHTAKING, ROMANTIC, SUSPENSEFUL, BEAUTIFUL WRITING, AHHHHHHHH

I absolutely loved this book so much. I was smiling the entire time I was reading it.

This story is a romance, but it also has a mystery running through it that kept me constantly hooked. I was always sitting there thinking, “AHHH what is going to happen next?” The setup and execution were gorgeous, and I genuinely can’t wait to read more from Valerie Hunter. Her writing is beautiful.

Valerie, if you ever see this, thank you for this masterpiece.

I fell in love with the main characters, Yasmine and Bella, almost immediately and was rooting for them from the start. I was basically just thinking, “KISS! KISS! KISS!” the whole time I was reading.

We also get to see more of Aster and Sylvia from the first book in the series, which I really enjoyed. I loved seeing their dynamic again, especially how domestic they’ve become together. I also liked getting more of Yasmine and Sylvia’s friendship; they’re complete opposites, but it works so well.

My only real wish is that we got a longer epilogue to see more of Yasmine and Bella. Valerie, if you’re reading this, I would love more content of them.

Yasmine and Bella just fit each other so perfectly. Their banter is amazing, and their connection feels like two puzzle pieces clicking together. - July 6th

I want more. I need more. We need another book ASAP. I genuinely enjoy reading books by this author. I think the first book in the series will forever have my heart, but this one really exceeded my expectations.

Yasmine was not what I expected at all after reading the first book, but I was pleasantly surprised that I LOVED her and she may be my #1 favorite in this series. She has such a hard exterior but once someone gets past those walls she is so caring.

I’m not sure why I had such a hard time liking Bella at first. She wasn’t a bad character by any means, but it took a bit to warm up to her.

There was definitely less action in this book than the first, but it didn’t take away from the story itself. I wanted a bit more of Bella and Yasmine’s relationship, but it was so so good either way.

A decent read, engaging characters, though with very unusual vampires who eat, drink, are just as messed up and contradictory as humans. I suppose that was a HEA, but it didn’t feel that way. Though, of course, they also have the morality of any set of billionaires, which is to say none at all. Sort of human emotions, but then immortality is boring without money. I didn’t feel the “romance” part at all. As if Earth isn’t already filled with enough real amoral, immoral billionaires. I enjoyed the read through the first half of the book but the second half left me drained of the empathy I’d felt in the first half. It’s well written but I require more than that and did not find it here.

First serious review I’m doing for anything (that’s how good this is)! It’s not gonna be terribly long, but I don’t think it needs to be in order for me to get across what I need to. This is gonna be a non-spoilery one.

This book easily immerses the reader through its entertaining character dynamics (Sylvia and Aster are back!) and intriguing plot. Unlike some books, this wasn’t one that I could predict the ending of in the first 40%. I enjoyed guessing what would come next—something that always kept me on my toes.

The pacing didn’t feel like it dragged on or rushed terribly throughout the book, either. I was able to escape a decent amount of peopling when reading this, and ended up getting through it in only a couple of hours. I have a soft spot for a modern fantasy setting/plot (which this falls into the category for when it comes to me), and I’ve pretty much gone through all of the sapphic books in that category. It made it easy to devour 😉

Yasmine and Bella’s dynamic was thoroughly enjoyable for me to experience. I won’t get too much into it (cause it would become very spoilery very quickly), but I do love a relationship where it doesn’t feel completely dominated by one side or the other. We get to know both characters throughout the book, and gradually find out just how compatible they are for each other in many different aspects of life. The sexy scenes don’t dominate the book, but that doesn’t mean they are lacking spice. I personally wouldn’t read it on public transit, but each to their own!

…okay, that was a lot longer than I thought it would be, but I could write an essay on how much I enjoy this book, so this is still short in comparison.

I had trouble finding the two MCs characterization, I couldn’t really get a good grasp on their characters, they felt very one dimensional and sometimes inconsistent. This also played a huge part on my main issue on how unconvincing it felt reading these characters’ relationship build up. There were very fun and camp moments, then there’s very scientific and serious which made the whole vibes of the book all over the place.

I LOVED the first book. It was actually one of my top 3 most enjoyable reads for this year, but it took all of the enjoyable aspects from the first book and mixed it with tons of new factors and that it ended up into a heaping mess.

I don't even know where to start with this review.

Honestly, I loved this book so much that I don't have coherent thoughts, just a thousand feelings fighting for attention.

This is actually my very first Goodreads review. I've read so many books over the years, but Valerie Hunter somehow managed to do the impossible and convince me to create a Goodreads account just so I could talk about how much I loved She's My Everything.

I pre-ordered this book and spent the days leading up to its release counting down the hours. I was so excited that I could barely sleep. When release day finally arrived, I wanted to read it as fast as possible because I needed to know what happened next. At the same time, I kept trying to slow myself down because I knew that once I finished it, there wouldn't be any more chapters waiting for me. I wanted to savor every page.

And now that I've finished it, I'm genuinely sad it's over.

This book gave me so many emotions. It made me smile, made me anxious, made me laugh, and completely pulled me into its world. When I reached the final page, all I could think was: That's it? Not because the ending wasn't satisfying, but because I wanted hundreds more chapters. I wasn't ready for it to end.

I absolutely adored Aster and Sylvia's dynamic in the first book, so I already had high expectations going into this one. Somehow, Valerie Hunter exceeded them. I fell in love with Bella and Yasmine almost instantly. Their chemistry, their interactions, and the way they made me care so deeply about their story had me completely hooked from beginning to end.

And I can't write this review without mentioning the chemistry between Bella and Yasmine. Their conversations felt natural, engaging, and full of personality. Whether they were making me laugh, making my heart ache, or making me completely obsessed with their dynamic, every interaction felt meaningful.

Without spoiling anything, if you're looking for a book with characters that feel real, a romance that keeps you invested, amazing chemistry, beautiful tension, and a story that completely immerses you in its world, then please pick this up. This is the kind of book that makes you lose track of time and leaves you thinking about the characters long after you've finished reading.

The fact that I'm writing this review at all should tell you how much this book meant to me. I wanted to leave this here as a thank you and as a show of appreciation. Valerie Hunter, thank you for giving us such a wonderful, heartfelt, immersive story. Thank you for creating characters and a romance that kept me completely invested from the first page to the last.

I'll be eagerly waiting for your next book, just like I waited for this one. If this sequel is any indication of what's to come, then I already know I'm in for another unforgettable reading experience.

Thank you for this beautiful story. My only complaint is that the book ended. 😭

Firstly I want to thank the author for the opportunity to beta read (though for me it ended up more like an arc read) SME, and I am providing this review based on my own honest thoughts.

For fans of The Girl Who Bit Me you will be happy to hear Valerie Hunter has done it again!

I was a huge fan of the first book, and the first time I read it I immediately went back and read it again, so when the opportunity to beta read the sequel came about I jumped at the chance! I thoroughly enjoyed Slyvia and Aster's story, which made me a little worried that I wouldn't be able to like Yasmine's story as much.

I was so wrong.

She's My Eternity keeps all the things I loved about the first book (including some cameos by Slyvia and Aster themselves!!) while still providing a fresh new insight to the world we love, providing new and interesting relationship dynamics, and more complicated lesbians to obsess over.

I adore Yasmine and Bella's relationship, and watching it deveop and change over the course of the book was great. They are both excellent characters, whose thoughts, feelings and actions really sucked me in. I was constantly wanting to read the next chapter to find out what each character did and how the other was going to react.

Valerie's writing feels fully emersive and is such a joy to read. You really connect with both women and truly root for them. There are darker themes and feeling throughout the book, which I think Valerie handles incredibly well, full of care but still so realistic and raw.

Overall the story was great, it had a perfect mix of mystery and plot to keep me trying to figure out what was happening and keep me hooked, while also really leaning in to the nitty gritty of the women, so we get to really learn who they are.

Honestly it was a perfect mix.

Since book 1 Valerie has become an instant buy for me, with book 2 really solidifying that. Her work is so fun and a joy to read, and I cannot wait to see what she brings out next.

I dont want to say too much as I wouldn't want to rob anyone of the joy of getting to read her words and this story for the first time, so I'll just finish with saying what a fantastic read it was. Thank you again!

TLDR: More Vampires. More lesbians. More tension. 5 Stars

This book has its fangs in me and I want more!
"The Girl Who Bit Me" has come to be one of my favorites and when I got the email that a second book was coming out in the series I had to quickly snatch up the opportunity to be able to read this. When I saw this was about Yasmine I would say I was intrigued as we saw a glimpse of her in the first book but was thinking if I would fall to love her and Bella as I did with Aster and Sylvia. As when the books shift from a couple it takes me a while to come to love em as much as the initial ones. Well that question was shut down quickly by the end of the first chapter I was already wanting to know more about Yasmine. The same with Bella the dynamic, romantic tension between the two of them is so well written it'll make you want to binge read this
Valerie's writing just as captivating as the first one which is what I adored from the first one there is more building into her unique vampire world. The same humor, fangtastic spice and don't worry if you miss Aster & Sylvia they do make their appearances, is always great to see the characters you fell for first in a sequel.
Yasmine and Bella's journey take you for such a rollercoaster ride you will want to repeat that ride with how many turns and twists there is, the growth and challenges they go thru resonate so well you will definitely come to love them, they have truly eternally captured my heart,. 🥹
And if Valerie continues on this series wether that be revisiting one of the two couples, a new one or even a new world all together you can bet I will be picking up her next book without a second though!
If you love vampire women, romantic tension, science pick this up you won't regret it I promise,

*I received an ARC from the author*

I’ve loved “The Girl Who Bit Me”, one of my favourite books of this year, and I was beyond excited when it was announced there would be a second book, set in this world I adore so much. Nobody writes vampires quite like this, and while I’ll read anything about sapphic vampires, putting them in a modern setting feels different and new, and combined with all the inventive lore, Valeries humour and these unforgettable characters, it’s a world I’ll gladly get lost in again.
I was a bit sceptic, for about five seconds, if another book with new protagonists could ever be as lovable and special as Aster and Sylvia. But Bella and Yasmine showed from the very beginning how different but still intriguing their dynamic would be. A vampire and a human?

Without wanting to spoil anything, Yasmine and Bella, their feelings, their thoughts, the whole journey they’re on throughout this book has become so important to me, made me cry and laugh and want nothing more than 1000 more stories about them. Combined with having Sylvia and Aster from the first book, Wallace, Yasmines son, science, questions about immortality, some evil ancient vampires, and of course a delicious sapphic romance, it’s really everything I’ve ever dreamed of in a book. My only problem is that this story ended, but I’ve heard through the grapevine that there may be more of them to come.

Thank you, Valerie, for letting me read and discuss this book with you. Nothing is quite as fun as talking about a book you love, especially with the person who wrote it and who cares about their characters so deeply. It’s been a pleasure.

I loved The Girl Who Bit Me and am so happy I got to read its sequel!!

She’s My Eternity completely pulled me back into Valerie Hunter’s vampire world in the best way. Yasmine and Bella’s story felt deeper, sharper, and even more emotionally layered than I expected, while still holding onto everything I loved from the first book. It’s the kind of sequel that expands the world while also pulling you closer into the characters’ emotional core. Aster and Sylvia also make an appearance, but the focus stays firmly on Yasmine and Bella’s development throughout.

Yasmine and Bella have such a complex relationship, and I loved how they don’t shy away from each other’s insecurities but instead explore them together. It makes their connection feel so real, messy, and intimate in a way that stuck with me long after reading. They love each other because of those insecurities, not in spite of them, and these characters are unforgettable.

The academic setting mixed with the race against time as the killings increase adds so much tension to their dynamic, especially as feelings start to surface in ways they never planned on. And of course, this book also brings the spice with some very intense scenes, fangs included, that fit perfectly for them!

Valerie Hunter’s writing is amazing and the characters truly come to life on the page. The pacing is fast and gripping from start to finish, and I loved how easy it was to stay fully immersed in the story. Everything builds toward an amazing ending that really delivers on the emotional and plot tension.

Thank you Valerie Hunter for giving me my first opportunity to beta read, this has been such a wonderful journey! 🖤

This book made me feral and it occupied all of my thoughts
It is such an amazing followup to The Girl Who Bit Me. This was everything I didnt know i wanted. It was charming, sweet, hot as hell, and hilarious. It was so interesting to get to know Yasmine better as she was such a good addition to the first book. And Bella was to die for. Their relationship in this book was everything. And, to reiterate, hot as fuck.
I had such a soft spot for Aster and Sylvia so I was a bit apprehensive about how I would feel about following new characters but I absolutely adored Yasmine and Bella. Such strong, badass, funny women. And I am begging for more to be told about the four of them though im sure if she added in a new couple, id be down bad for them too.
The authors take on vampires is so fun and used in such a unique way that adds to the plot and relationships. And her sense of humor is exactly my taste. I will read absolutely anything she has to write.
As soon as i finished it, I reread the first book and want to be caught in an endless cycle of reading about Aster & Sylvia and Yasmine & Bella over and over again.
Please pick it up!!

Thank you Valerie Hunter for letting me be a beta reader ❤️ it was such a fun experience and you did amazing

I received a free ARC of this book. I was not compensated in any way for this review.

I really, really love this book, and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a spicy sapphic vampire narrative, especially if you enjoyed the author's first book, The Girl Who Bit Me. The sequel carries the tone of the first book really consistently. (And the cameo appearances from Aster and Sylvia are absolutely delightful.)

Yasmine and Bella's relationship is complex and beautiful and full of the exact right amount of romantic tension. They are researchers (and also idiots in love), which allows the author to include some of the most romantic fantasy science I've ever read.

The writing is clever, dialogue snappy, the prose beautifully written and occasionally devastating. It is thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. It has great pacing, a fun and suspenseful plot, and extremely satisfying emotional payoff.

The author handles sensitive themes (e.g. trauma, grief and loss, abuse, monstrosity) with kindness and compassion. She has crafted a touching and impactful narrative about the healing power of gay love and it is going to stick with me for a long time.

*Received ARC*

As someone who absolutely loved The Girl Who Bit Me, I was so excited to learn that a second book was coming in the series and I could not wait to read it. SME exceeded my expectations tenfold in terms of Hunter's writing style, wittiness, character development, and world building. Yasmine and Bella's characters were written in such a beautiful, yet devastating way that truly makes your heart ache for them in all that they have experienced. While their story is within the same universe as Aster and Sylvia's, Hunter adds *so much* more detail about vampirism and their powers that makes this sequel feel like more than simply a retelling of a familiar story. Additionally, Hunter's world building is incredibly intricate, yet easy to understand and follow along with. The pacing of SME, as well as the balance between romance and dramatic plots, were perfectly executed. This is a great story about how powerful love can be, and how it can both destroy us and save us (but, more often, save us).

If you enjoyed The Girl Who Bit Me, you will absolutely enjoy SME as well. Thank you to Valerie for allowing me to be a beta reader for one of my most anticipated releases!

I think we sort of glossed over the fact that Bella's family essentially pimped her out for 2000 years? For that whole time she apparently did nothing, but marry some rich vampire and drain them on their wedding night. And she hated it the whole time. It's implied that the first time she had sex with Yasmine was also the first time she had sex for pleasure. I don't think it's possible to sustain such a life for that long and not be significantly more fucked up than Bella is. At some point you'd either try to assert some agency or just break mentally. Her behaviour just isn't congruent with someone who is positively ancient. Hells Sylvia and Aster act more like you'd expect a centuries old person to act than Bella and she has more than a millennia on them.

That being said this was still highly entertaining. I've loved the first book and enjoyed this one a lot as well.

this was such a fun and cute read, i loooved the characters and the dynamic between yasmine and bella, and i'm so glad we had a bit of sylvia and aster back too!! i really need more of these chracters!!! my only downside (which i also had with the girl who bit me) is that the ending felt a bit rushed and i wish we had gotten a slightly longer epilogue to see more of the romance once everything was fine around them. other than that, i am #seated for more books from you valerie (hopefully with yasmine, bella, aster and sylvia)

It was alright! Not my favourite from the bunch. It was nice seeing THE Aster and Sylvia from book 1 and the plot felt fine and okay. Didn’t really have a lot of stakes involved which I guess is why the author chose the family route. It didn’t really feel like that though? I feel like I wished we knew more about the sisters and had more flashbacks, like how book 1 had those random flash backs from both protagonists. I feel like the T named sister (I forgot her name) should’ve had more dialogue bcoz I literally forgot she was even there. Oh well LOL a win for the lesbians. ♥️

This book was incredible! To say what happened to Sylvia and Aster was unexpected would be an understatement! But, I loved the multi-point of views it was a delight to read! Honestly, I hope there’s another book about Sylvia, Aster, Yasmine, and Bella all together with multiple POVs and just with their future (I’m hoping for some children for Yasmine and Bella honestly)! But I love when characters have kids so I’m biased. Anyway, fantastic continuation of this series!

Perfect follow up for fans of The Girl Who Bit Me!

It’s funny, it’s dark, it’s full of tension! Ugh. I love it so much. I’m about to reread them both back to back. The author has such a way of making these characters so easy to understand but still complex. She outlines them easily, painting a picture in your minds eye of who they are, their personalities. It’s fantastic.

Loved the book, hated the ending - very much not into that anticlimactic 6 months later stuff - show me what happened right then😭
