Hotel Bellwether has a long history of broken hearts finding love.
And Sadie’s heart is broken from a situationship that was really more of a string of one-night stands. But she is at the resort for her sister’s wedding and will absolutely not be falling in love. Then Jamison, the man responsible for the tiny pieces of her heart, arrives.
Discovering he’s the best man—and brother—of the groom ruins her plans to forget all about his stupid gorgeous face.
When surly Jamison sees Sadie in the Bellwether’s lobby, he can’t believe the luck. She’s always so fun that even he can’t be a stick in the mud. But his mood quickly sours when she pretends to not know him, and worse is confusingly livid to be stuck with neighboring suites.
For the sake of their siblings, they’ll play nice and pretend to be strangers despite the heated nights they’ve spent together. But resisting the force of their attraction might be the hardest thing they’ve ever done.
A Bitter Suite Divide is a steamy second-chance, enemies to lovers, with a guaranteed HEA.
Marty Vee is the midwestern gal who is going to banter her steamy contemporary small town into only one bed, time after time. The friends will become lovers, and so will the enemies.
She lives in the Mitten State with her introverted husband, two feral children, the fluffiest house cat, and is the emotional support human to her tender-hearted rescue dog.
She loves singing (constantly) and meandering hikes through the woods.
I really enjoyed the last instalment of the Hotel Bellwether books. This takes place during a wedding, where our FMC, the bride's sister, is nursing her broken heart, only to find out the groom is the guy who did it. The MMC has no idea he broke her heart. He thought the random hook ups were fun, and there was no way she would want more from him. This was a great story full of heart and spice. It was one of my fave from the series!
thank you to happily booked PR & the author for my ARC of Bitter Suite Divide! This review is in my own words.
The elements of this book I liked was the sister dynamic between Sadie & June. Sadie watching her sister be in love and get married made me excited for my sister to get married and I can watch through that lens. What I wasn’t a fan of? miscommunication trope. I just wish she would’ve talked to Jamison the whole book. He is obviously so oblivious, why wouldn’t you help just a little bit? Also, his self deprecation didn’t make sense to me. Is it because he doesn’t want the pressure to love someone who may die, or is loving someone too much responsibility and he doesn’t know how to do it? The plot just fell short for me.
I did like the pacing of the book. I felt it went fast so you got everything you needed in the short book. You love the families & the atmosphere of the hotel as well. I actually wished I was there!
Again, thank you for Happily Booked PR & the author. I think this just wasn’t what I was looking for in my book. I do think it’s perfect for people who love Grumpy x sunshine, forced proximity, friends with benefits, and wedding settings!
Thank you to author Marty Vee and Happily Booked PR for the arc! Second chance romance with enemies-to-lovers is always a favorite of mine and I couldn’t put this book down because it was so good. The miscommunication trope in this book was perfect and made their yearning for each other so much more intense. I was very relieved that Sadie and Jamieson worked out in the end because I was definitely rooting very hard for them. One more thing, I’d love this to be made into a television show or movie especially to see their dance lesson. Their dance lesson was written so well and really showed off their chemistry and it would be amazing to see that on screen with music accompanying it. I look forward to reading the last book in this series and to reading more books by this author.
A Bitter Suite Divide was the perfect bittersweet goodbye to the Hotel Bellwether world. I'm genuinely sad to be done with this series of novellas.
Marty perfectly balanced the emotional weight of a second-chance romance and swoon worthy moments.
Jamison has been in love with Sadie the entire time, he just doesn’t realize it. This man was so oblivious that I wanted to shake him and hug him simultaneously.
Sadie and Jamison’s connection felt lived-in, messy, and real.
This was a wonderful finale and goodbye to Hotel Bellwether. ❤️
It was ok. It is your typical acquaintance with benefits, turned more. Noone communicates with each other. It felt like they were playing games with each other the whole way through. It has a HEA. I unfortunately did not connect with the characters.
This was the 5th and last arc novella in the Hotel Bellwether series. Thank you to the authors for the arcs. It has been a fun journey. This one turned out to be, for me, the most fun story with a great balance of tension and swoon, sexy and sweet. It does not reinvent the wheel, but a good standard wheel is good enough for me and if it is good enough for you I recommend it. The one major issue for me was that at the sentence level, this is just badly written. Words are frequently misused and sentences are weirdly constructed. It felt like the author's first language was Portuguese, or Urdu, or Navajo, and she did a 6-week English Duolingo before a trip to Disney World. I have done that with other languages, and it works. It is enough to talk to your cab driver and all, but it does not make you silver-tongued. There is a lot of awkwardly phrased dialogue, but awkwardly phrased dialogue can still be sexy, and this was.
The quick summary: Sadie and Jamison have been gleefully hooking up and hanging out for a while. When Sadie suggests that she is looking for something beyond friends with benefits Jamison tells her he is focused on his job. She ghosts him, but he keeps texting her. She doesn't block him and doesn't say how she is feeling, but she either doesn't respond to his texts or does so with curt answers. Both are really bummed out, and then, surprise, it turns out when they go to their respective siblings' destination wedding (at the Hotel Bellwether, bien sur) their siblings are getting married to one another, and Sadie and Jamison are the Best Man and Maid of Honor. Things happen after that.
The story was sweet. I really liked Sadie and Jamison. There was lots of heart-tugging backstory. It did what romance is supposed to do.
A few small notes to the author on less important points:
I don't think anyone says "man and wife" anymore, and if they do they should not. Despite the intense and very public wishes of JD Vance, women are generally not considered chattel in the state of California. It is gross. It is like commenting on the bond between a man and his Lazyboy, or car, or dog. Husband and wife, husband and husband, wife and wife, life partners or just "I pronounce you married" will do.
30-year-old environmental lawyers who work for nonprofits and do not have ancestral wealth to draw on do not fly first class as a matter of course. When I was a lawyer, working for a very much for-profit firm and advancing the interests of global corporations, I travelled a lot internationally, so I was regularly upgraded to business class, and I guess I could have splurged on first class, but my friends working on the side of right in nonprofits flew main cabin if they flew at all.
For the love of all that is holy, please know that motherfucker is one word not two! The word (or in this case, words) is used several times, and it is always wrong.
I forgot June and Sadie had a father -- he is never mentioned after the first few pages, and I was so confused when he showed up at June's wedding. Mention him at some point earlier if you are still in edits.
And just like that the last novella in the Hotel Bellwether is here. A Bitter Suite Divide, by Marty Vee, is a story about two people who have been hooking up, no strings attached for some time. Now they are face to face at their sibling’s wedding, with no way to escape. More so, the name the MMC told the FMC isn’t his real name. Yet, the chemistry between them is electric and sparks fly whenever they are together. I enjoyed seeing them overcome their personal fears to let each other in.
With tropes that I love, Sadie and Jamison provide an easy to read, easy to fall in love with story that provides readers with a good time. These two know each other due to their frequent hook ups. With no strings attached, it is the perfect escape for both of them as they each deal with their own issues. When one takes a chance and is shut down, their hook ups stop. They run into each other again at a wedding where his brother is marrying her sister. Now they are stuck together doing wedding preparation; and trying to ignore obvious feelings they still have for each other.
Both these characters made me laugh, hold my breath, and smile. I will always love two people finally admitting how they feel about each other and giving in to said feelings. Even while they are trying to stay away, they just can’t. They are drawn to one another and really do have something special, despite neither of them wanting to admit it. I was grateful to see their communication grow throughout the story too. It starts out rough, y’all! At times I wanted to shake sense into both of them. Like think of the scene when Genie is telling Aladdin to “tell her the TRUTH!”, that is how I was feeling towards both of them.
By the end of the short story, the emotional pivot it took was beautiful and done so well. It happened organically for both MCs as they finally were honest with each other and themselves. Now with everything laid out, these two need to continue the open communication and realize that while love isn’t always easy, it can be worth it. A wonderful end to this novella series!
As always, review any author notes before reading.

This is book 5 of the Hotel Bellwether series and a new author for me.
I think this is closer to a 3.5 for me, but I gave it four stars because it was fun.
We meet Sadie and Jamison through text messages and remembered interactions at the beginning of the book.
He's in her phone as Fuckboy Lawyer, and that is all we need to know in the very beginning. Sadie confessed her growing feelings for him, and he shut her down one night after they hooked up. Sadie is heartbroken, and Jameson is, well, unaware of what his words have done to her.
She's on her way to her sister's wedding at the Hotel Bellweather and trying to forget her humiliation. But everywhere she looks she thinks she sees him.
Some hilarity ensues when missed connections and misunderstandings shape how a relationship can be seen as two different things to two different people.
I don't want to spoil anything, the reveal isn't big or earth-shattering, but it does lead to a lot of long looks, lingering pining and some funny situations between these two and the wedding party.
I like the hotel setting - this series is fun, funny and has a bit of spice. I enjoyed getting to know both MCs and they come mostly fully formed as adults into this story. I can see the angst and mental health struggles of Jamison and how it has shaped his life - it's interesting to see how he discounts himself as uncaring when all he has done since his father died has been to take care of everyone. Sometimes we are too busy looking after others to look after ourselves.
It's a kind of second-chance romance, sort of angry ex to lovers, sisters' fiancées, brother kind of trope, and I like it! I am really looking forward to reading the rest of this series, which is authored by different female authors (MeLisa Ryun is the only wife and husband team to co-author), and to see what other hijinks the other couples get up to. It's a fun, easy and fast read which will make you smile.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There is something so satisfying about a second chance romance that makes you believe love deserves another shot, and A Bitter Suite Divide by Marty Vee delivered exactly that.
From the very first chapter, I was completely invested in Sadie and Jamison. Watching two people with so much unresolved hurt be forced together during a destination wedding made for the perfect mix of tension, emotion, and those moments that had me smiling one minute and wanting to shake them the next. Their chemistry never disappeared, even when they were pretending they meant nothing to each other.
Sadie completely won me over. My heart ached for everything she had been carrying, and I admired how she tried to protect herself after having her heart broken. Jamison was the kind of grumpy hero who slowly works his way into your heart. As his side of the story unfolded, I found myself understanding him more and more, and I loved watching the walls between them begin to crumble.
The Hotel Bellwether felt like a character all on its own. It added such a charming, romantic atmosphere that made every interaction between Sadie and Jamison even more magical. Between the family dynamics, wedding festivities, emotional conversations, witty banter, and undeniable attraction, I never wanted the story to end.
Marty Vee did a beautiful job balancing heartfelt emotion with plenty of humor, romance, and just the right amount of steam. Nothing felt rushed, and every moment between these two felt earned. By the time I reached the ending, I had the biggest smile on my face and closed the book feeling completely satisfied.
If you love second chance romance, grumpy meets sunshine energy, forced proximity, destination weddings, and characters who have to fight through misunderstandings to find their way back to each other, this book absolutely deserves a spot on your TBR. I loved every minute of it and cannot recommend it enough.
"A Bitter Suite Divide" by Marty Vee is my least favorite Hotel Bellwether novella. It took me a while to get into Sadie and Jamison's story. It just didn't gel with me as the other novellas in this series did. I did not like Jamison's attitude or aura one bit. For a lawyer, he's pretty damn dumb, and I am glad that Sadie calls him on that at some point in the story. Jamison is so emotionally broken that I'm not quite sure why Sadie even bothers??? She basically gets rejected by him multiple times, and then, at the first sign of trouble, he runs and retreats into himself and rejects her AGAIN!!! And she swoons about him because he's got and has a big d1ck! WHAT!??!?!! Priorities, girl!! Still, it's not like he *wasn't* upfront with her from the get-go: he was!! He told her he only wanted a situationship, that that's all he had to give to her, regardless of his true meaning or why he felt that way, and she is the one who caught feelings! Is that not a boundary violation? I don't know, I am old now and have been married for almost 20 years, so I don't know how these things go or work anymore! I am conflicted! He refused to let himself catch feelings because he'd literally rather never experience true love than go to therapy. THAT IS ALSO MAJORLY ICKY!!! And she caught feelings for the one person who said he only did flings. YIKES!! I didn't like either of them, I'm sorry!!! I did love Mike and June, though, what an adorable couple. I personally think June had every right to be frustrated with Sadie. Sadie storms into June's wedding weekend with a baggage full of drama and a sh1tty attitude, shows up late to multiple events, only thinks about herself the entire time, is unnecessarily and overly mean to Jamison, doesn't pay attention to Jamison and Mike's mom while she's trying to talk to her... June should have gotten mad!!! Crappy behavior!!! I did not want them to end up together; I wanted them to both go to therapy!!!!!!!
Thank you to Marty Vee for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I waas not compensated for this review.
🚨 SPOILER ALERT: READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! I am giving A Bitter Suite Divide by Marty Vee a spectacular 4.5-star review! ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 This is an absolutely delightful, emotional, and high-chemistry addition to the series that reads like an absolute dream on a Kindle screen! ARC Disclosure: Thank you so much to the author for providing an early digital review copy! All thoughts and reflections shared here are entirely my own. The Review A Bitter Suite Divide brings a beautiful blend of deep emotional healing and high-tension romance to the Hotel Bellwether world. The narrative does a fantastic job exploring the vulnerability required to move past past heartbreak, structuring a romance that feels incredibly earned. Marty Vee captures a perfect balance of witty, lighthearted moments and poignant internal struggles, ensuring the pacing keeps you completely hooked. It is a wonderfully written, comforting journey that perfectly showcases how the right person can help rebuild your walls. The Good Quote that had me knowing I was going to love this book? "My God, have I been losing my goddamn mind over a man named, Gene?!" It is absolutely brilliant! I loved Jamison (Gene) as the MMC. The fact that he was so oblivious and so into her from the beginning—though he sucked at showing it—was great! It is a beautifully done "he falls first and harder" trope. Sadie is a great FMC too, even if she is a bit broken by her past situationship and sort of refusing to allow herself to fall in love and to believe she is loved. Their emotional journey is so deeply satisfying. This is book 5 of standalones in the Hotel Bellwether series, and easily one of the bests! It’s a great way to go after reading all 5 novellas. The Not So Good The only tiny reason this isn't a full 5 stars is that Jamison's initial inability to show his feelings made me want to shake some sense into him early on! His oblivious nature is endearing, but it definitely stretches out the emotional tension right to the breaking point.
Title: A bitter suite divide (Book 5 hotel bellwether series)
Author: Marty Vee
Genre: contemporary romance
Spice: 4/5 🌶️
Pace: Brisk. Kept a good flow and kept my attention.
Readability: very few parts were slightly awkward with the wording but overall an easy read. Keeps your attention. The writing is good. Certain parts will just draw you in (particularly in the second half)
Character development: the characters you lightly get to know. Their energy is electric. The way they crave each other just makes you feel good. The mmc Jamison is oblivious. The FMC doesn’t know how to speak about her feelings. I really wound up liking them in the end.
Mentions/tropes: Novella quick read Miscommunication Second chance romance Forced proximity Enemies/rivals to lovers (sort of) Unresolved feelings Fling to a ring Self doubt Fear of rejection
My thoughts: these two can’t stay away from each other. Even with their efforts to keep their distance for the sake of the wedding they’re in, they just can’t. They’re drawn to each other and have issues to work through to get on the same page. She struggles to communicate her true feelings. He has no clue. They work to overcome it together. This hotel must really have magical powers. The second half of this was emotional and had a beautiful message about learning how to show up for one another even when it’s hard. These two are adorable. Such a cute ending to the series.
Oh, the miscommunication trope is strong in this book!
Sadie just wants to be there for her sister's wedding and not think of the man back home who doesn't want more but keeps coming around every so often for a FWB situation. Turns out, Jamison, really Gene to his family, is the older brother of the groom, and is rooming next to her. The tension is high between them as Sadie wants to be done with him, and Jamison wants more without having a full relationship. So the compromise - just the weekend, then they go strictly platonic for the rest of their lives. Sounds good, until Jamison learns he's the person who hurt Sadie that his brother was talking about, and overhears the nickname that was given to him.
Jamison and Sadie get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.
Jamison really needed therapy and to talk with both his brother and mother about how he was feeling. I was glad that he was going to go now that his cousin was recommending someone for him to talk to. I do wonder how much Sadie's sister had her perspective changed on her new brother-in-law, knowing what she knew of her sister's ranting about him, or if she gave him another chance now. I would have loved to have seen what the whole family thought of sisters being with brothers, and it happening completely by chance.
I received an advance review copy from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Trying a 'new to me' author can be a gamble, but Besties... "A Bitter Suite Divide" definitely kept me glued to the pages! If you love second-chance romance with all the delicious pining and frustration that has you yelling at both MCs in your Kindle... then you're in for a ride. 🤭
Sadie and Jamison had me riding an emotional roller coaster. I completely understood why Sadie was hurt after what Jamison had done months prior, but guuuuurrrrl... TALK TO THE MAN! 🤦🏻♀️ There were SO many perfect opportunities to clear the air, especially that elevator scene, and I was practically begging her to say something. The mutual longing between these two was absolutely chef's kiss, though, and it kept me turning pages even while they tested my patience.
Then, just when I thought we'd finally reached the breakthrough, then Jamison had the audacity to frustrate ME. These two seriously had me stressing! Thankfully, the heartfelt ending made every ounce of angst worth it. This was a sweet, emotional addition to the Hotel Bellwether shared series, and I'm so glad I gave this author a chance. I look forward to reading her other books! Make sure to add this to your TBR! 👍🏼

Thank you Marty Vee and Happily Booked PR for this ARC of A Bitter Suite Divide.
I absolutely enjoyed the heck out of this trip to the Bellwether with Jamison and Sadie 🫶 Other than the absolute power of this second chance romance and the love and devotion that they each showed each other in their own way, it HAS to be said, how the heck was Jamison so utterly oblivious!! But the way that he couldn’t fathom that Sadie could ever love him was so heart wrenching 💔
The healing that took place between these two MCs while at the Bellwether for their siblings wedding (her sister married his brother) all while not knowing who they would essentially become to each other, and the confessions that shook the wedding parties foundations hit hard.
But those speeches! 😭 Since Sadie was the made of honor and Jamison was the Best Man, their respective speeches hit different and the conversations that bloomed from their was perfection 🫶
🏩second chance 💛secretly hooking up 🏩clinically oblivious hero 💛I never want to see your face again but we have neighboring suites 🏩discovering he's been in love with her the whole time 💛forced proximity 🏩reformed f*ckboy 💛admission of feelings through subtext
A Bitter Suite Divide delivers exactly what fans of second-chance romance are looking for: unresolved feelings, sizzling chemistry, forced proximity, and plenty of emotional tension. Set against the charming backdrop of the Hotel Bellwether—a place famous for unexpected love stories—the novel creates the perfect setting for Sadie and Jamison's complicated reunion.
Sadie arrives determined to avoid romance after a heartbreaking situationship, only to discover that the man who broke her heart is the groom's brother. Watching the pair navigate old wounds while pretending to be strangers adds layers of angst, and their adjoining hotel suites only make resisting each other even more difficult.
Jamison's confusion over Sadie's cold behavior creates an engaging dual perspective, and the grumpy/sunshine dynamic between them makes their interactions both entertaining and heartfelt. Their chemistry is undeniable, with plenty of steamy moments balanced by emotional growth and honest conversations.
Overall, A Bitter Suite Divide is a fun, emotional, and swoony romance filled with wedding chaos, second chances, and a satisfying happily-ever-after. If you enjoy forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine couples, and rekindled love stories with lots of tension, this is one to add to your TBR.
- Second chance - Destination wedding - Miscommunication - Close proximity
I have always been a fan of the second chance trope. There is something so satisfying about seeing a couple work through their issues and rebuild their relationship. This story begins after the situationship has ended for Sadie and Jamison. He had always wanted something casual, but Sadie caught feelings and was not happy they were not reciprocated. So she ghosts him. Jamison is so clueless to this and it never occurs to him that he is the reason she stopped responding.
Fast forward to Sadie's sister's destination wedding at the Hotel Bellwether. Sadie keeps seeing someone that looks like Jamison in the airport and on the plane. She is stunned to find out that not only is he at the wedding, but that he's the groom's brother! He goes by a different name to his family, so Sadie never made the connection, not that they really shared many details of their lives.
Jamison is hoping to reconnect with Sadie, but still wants a casual thing. They decide it's a great idea to have a weekend fl1ng while at the wedding. There's no way that will end badly, right?
Watching Sadie and Jamison work through their issues was satisfying. Quick read and the conclusion of this multi-author series.
I loved the final novella in the Hotel Bellwether series!
Sadie is headed to her younger sister’s destination wedding at the Hotel Bellwether, when she sees a glimpse of.. him. No that can’t be right. What are the odd’s HE would be on the same early morning flight ?
Sadie, thinking she’s been hallucinating from the sadness of her broken heart - cannot believe it when HE. Lawyer Fuckboy. Jamison. Himself is at the Hotel Bellwether with her, and to make matters worse? He’s the groom’s brother.
Naturally, to avoid disaster and further heartbreak, Sadie pretends to not know Jamison (who is Gene to all of his family)
The situation continues to grow worse as they find out their hotel rooms, are neighbors. And they must continue to fight the attraction and feelings they’ve had for each other as the wedding festivities continue around them.
Despite their attempts to leave it all in the past, Hotel Bellwether has a long standing way of bringing people together… and maybe even falling in love.
Tropes including: 💛 Second chance romance ❤️ Brother-in-law’s brother 💛 Grumpy x sunshine ❤️ Forced Proximity
And of course, it’s delightfully spicy 🌶️
Thank you Marty Vee for a chance to read this one early!! 💕
I'd expected that Jamison had just misheard her and had been really into her all along...oh, but he really did just want to be friends with benefits at most all along. I'd thought he had to take care of his household when his father died young and that explained how tense he was...oh, but he and his brother are like the same age and were around 18 when his dad died. I thought his name was really not sexy...oh, but actually Jamison is his middle name, his first name is (Eu)Gene, and that's even worse. I'd thought that if she told him how she felt more openly, he'd confess the feelings he has...oh, but no, he just says "I can't" and the book is almost over.
Where is the love? There isn't love. They're hookups who think they might be able to be friends. There's absolutely nothing between "I can't" and "For the rest of my life." These two are gonna break up on the flight home and have to deal with working together AND being inlaws forever.
The one thing I did like was them deciding TO use a condom after having a convo about birth control/testing. I liked the levelheadedness here: “I want to,” he rasped, “but I’ve never fucked without a condom, and I don’t think I should make that decision when I’m this fucking hard.”
A Bitter Suite Divide had me smiling, giggling, and kicking my feet more times than I can count. Marty Vee really knows how to write characters you can't help but root for.
Jamison... my sweet, nerdy king 🥹 He is so painfully oblivious to the effect he has on Sadie that I wanted to reach into the pages and shake him (affectionately). Every interaction between them had me grinning because the chemistry was chemistry-ing and he was just... existing completely unaware 😭
And here's something I never thought I'd say... I actually enjoyed the miscommunication trope. I know!! Normally I'm rolling my eyes and begging the characters to just TALK TO EACH OTHER. But somehow Marty made it work. The miscommunication felt natural, the emotional payoff was worth the wait, and I was completely invested in every frustrating (but delicious) moment. The tension, the pining and the longing... inject it directly into my veins 🫠
Watching Jamison slowly realise what had been right in front of him all along was everything I wanted, and every little piece of subtext had me internally screaming for them to just admit how they felt already.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read from beginning to end, and it's another reminder that Marty Vee knows exactly how to write romance that keeps you completely invested in the characters.
✨ TROPES ✨ 💛 Second Chance Romance 🤫 Secretly Hooking Up 🤓 Clinically Obvious Hero 📍 Forced Proximity 😏 Reformed F*ckboy ❤️ He's Been in Love With Her All Along 💌 Feelings Admitted Through Subtext
If you love nerdy heroes, second chances, delicious tension, and romances that have you yelling "JUST KISS ALREADY" at your book, this one definitely deserves a spot on your TBR 📚✨
Oh boy, what a way to say goodbye to Hotel Bellwether. This series has been brilliant and Marty's story is like a love letter.
Coming to The Bellwether to attend her sister's wedding brings Sadie face to face with the one man she doesn't want to see, Jamison. Little does she know that she is exactly where she's supposed to be.
The miscommunication trope is not a favourite of mine but this one was well written. Poor Jamison truly believed that he didn't know how to love or deserve to be loved. However, he loved Sadie, he just didn't realise it until it was almost too late. Sadie on the other hand knew how she felt but believed it was all one-sided. Even having expressed her desire for more to Jamison before being rejected.
The way these two convinced themselves that there was no future for the two of them made we want to shake some sense into both of them. At times I found myself shaking my head and muttering about how blind they both were. Ultimately, this messy, fun, loving couple find their HEA and it is a wonderful way to end this series. A strong 4 stars from me.
What a cute and emotional read! A Bitter Suite Divide is a contemporary romance that pulled at my heart as well as made me want to throw the book at times because of the characters' actions. A secret hook up relationship that leads to both Jamison and Sadie wanting more from the relationship, but only one of them brave enough to voice it. Then feelings get hurt, and the confusion of mixed signals becomes real. This was a short read that I enjoyed while it completely held my attention. This book had me smiling, laughing, and, at times, wanting to reach into it and smack some sense into the characters. This book was definitely more character driven than plot. The characters reflected emotions and actions that could definitely be seen in real life. I could easily relate to Sadie's character, not only with her relationship with Jamison but also with her sister. Contemporary romance is not my typical reading genre, but after this book, it might become one of my favorites. If you are already a contemporary romance reader, you will enjoy this book, and if you are like me and new to the genre, you may just find you like this as much as me.
A Bitter Suite Divide by Marty Vee was an absolutely amazing read. From the very first page, I was completely hooked and found it incredibly difficult to put down. The writing style was engaging, smooth, and immersive, making it easy to become fully invested in both the story and the characters.
The author did a fantastic job of building tension and emotion throughout the book. I became so invested in the story and the characters that I kept telling myself, "just one more chapter," only to find I'd read several more. The pacing was spot on, with just the right balance of emotion, tension, and moments that kept me eager to turn the page.
If you're looking for a captivating story with excellent writing and characters you genuinely care about, I highly recommend A Bitter Suite Divide. This is definitely a five-star read and one I won't be forgetting anytime soon!
Big thanks to happilybookedpr and Marty Vee to give me this opportunitie to ARC read this amazing book 🥰 Make sure to read it!
Quick fun story This is the fifth and final book of a multi author series of novellas set around the Hotel Bellwether. A short story featuring Sadie and Jamison who hook up and seem to be in a situationship. Sadie however wants more but on revealing that, she is shut down by Jamison as he enjoys what they have. That leads to him still texting and her replying with curt answers or not replying at all. He’s oblivious to her feelings but is happy when he finds that she is at the Hotel Bellwether, as unbeknownst to them his brother is marrying her sister. They’re both in the wedding party and have rooms close to each other. However, she’s not happy to see him and doesn’t acknowledge that she knows him. A story full of angst, with lots of chemistry between the two, he’s clueless of her feelings and she has trouble communicating hers to him. But finally they get there. It’s a fun, spicy story. emotional at times with loveable characters. Some parts of the book need rewording but overall an enjoyable story. Thank you Marty Vee for the opportunity to read this story.

📝Review📝 I am always ready for a second chance and adding the second chance with a situation-ship just adds an additional layer to the story. Sadie and Jamison go through so much in this weekend. From Sadie learning Jamison isn’t his real name to him learning he is the guy he has been mad at in his own mind. There is so much push and pull between these two and for under 200 hundreds pages I was absolutely invested. This is book 5 and the only book I read in the series and can be read completely as a stand alone. I am planning on going back and read Alicia’s story I mean second chance with her ex husband yes please.

~~Quotes~~ 💙He was the ghost of situationship past, and I understood Scrooge’s point of view far better than I’d ever given it credit for. 💙I wanted to give her more. Let her have everything, even as I knew I wouldn’t be enough. I couldn’t give her enough 💙Did I make his heart skip the way he did mine? 💙What was between me and Jamison was world shattering. But it would be my world that shattered.
This was so cute are you kidding?! I loved how easy this was to read and sometimes I love a quick read like this that just fulfills something in me (especially getting out of a reading slump. I do think this definitely could of been longer because Sadie and Jamison’s story was adorable and could of had a lot more detail however for the length is was perfectly paced and had plenty of drama packed in. The dance lesson scene was definitely the highlight that sticks out to me as it had the perfect mix of humour and tension mixed in and was a major moment in their relationship. The mentions of grief with Jamison’s dad were so beautiful and the conversation he had with Sadie in chapter 19 was so touching and definitely sparked a tear in my eye. And the sibling relationship between Sadie and June, especially at the wedding was so cute. Overall this book is perfect for someone that wants something quick to read but has everything that you could possibly want in a romance book.
Thank you so much Marty Vee and Happily booked for this arc!!!

Even though it’s the final book in the Hotel Bellwether series, I honestly think you could jump into this series at any point and still enjoy it.
Sadie is attending her sister’s wedding while trying to move on from the man who broke her heart… only to discover he’s the groom’s brother.
The best part?
Jamieson never even realized he had broken her heart. He thought their casual hookups were exactly that—casual.
That misunderstanding made their relationship feel incredibly realistic. Watching them navigate hurt feelings, miscommunication, and second chances made this such an enjoyable read.
If you’re looking for a quick romance with emotional tension, believable characters, and a satisfying HEA, I’d definitely recommend it.
Thank you to Marty Vee and Happily Booked PR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
First, I’ve read a few from this series now and I love the hotel and San Diego background! A vacation beach romance set in a gorgeous historical hotel near some of the most beautiful beaches in the world?!? Yes please!
Now to this story. Our MMC Jamison is seriously so good. He has quirks, self esteem issues and is perfectly imperfect. He’s so endearing and sweet, I just can’t even deal with it. This books has a pretty big “misunderstanding” issue but it’s dealt with in the best way. And our FMC Sadie handles Jamison with so much empathy and understanding once she is able to see where he’s operating from and what’s happening. I love that we have characters with real life flaws and messiness. Sadie doesn’t turn into a massive shrew when going through the issues and ends up being so sweet and gentle with him. It was a nice reversal also from the girl always being the broken one that needs a knight. Here we get to see a Queen help her man and I’m here for it👏👏👏
Grieving sometimes can feel like we lose someone we love everyday, it is a weight that pull us down, it feels like drowning, like an excruciating pain that never leave us.
Losing someone as important as his dad for Jamison changed his life completely, he felt an enormous responsibility with his family, he made sure to be there for his mom and brother but at the same time he couldn’t process his own grief. Sharing his name with his dad put a lot of pressure on Eugene Jamison he felt like he wasn’t enough for his family let alone for Sadie.
One of my favorite thing of this book was how imperfectly perfect Jamison was, he keep fighting with himself about his worth. I loved how Sadie once she understood him started to be more supportive towards him and his feelings for him, she was patient and reassured him.
I loved all the longing and yearning, I loved their love story, I loved how they loved each other, they were destined like soul mates.

The final book in the Hotel Bellwether series, a complete standalone, where there is always live in the air and rooms at Bellwether. Sadie is at Bellwether to celebrate her younger sisters wedding, despite reeling from her own mess of a love life, but she doesn’t know that the best man and the grooms brother is actually the man she’s been broken hearted over for the past few months. Jamison was oblivious to Sadie’s feelings, thinking they were just casual… whoopsie! And while Sadie does her best to avoid Jamison and be civil, it’s hard to fight the chemistry especially when their suites are right next to each other! A lovely second chance story with a strong FMC who knows what she wants and will put herself out there to get it and a MMC who will falls to his knees when it finally dawns on him!
