Sixty nine bodies in the Houston bayou. And three boys that are nuts. Nash McNelly, grandson of the famous Texas Ranger is in the mix and it almost kills him.
A family of four is shot, with two killed. That was Nash's case. Then he went to Israel for a brief stint. Life is interesting and dangerous.
I thought about this a lot as I read. There is not an overlying plot. McNelly works a series of cases, but there isn’t one big thing for him to solve. Along the way, bad things seem to happen to him, and he never makes the big arrest. So it seemed more like a slice of life of a Texas Ranger than a typical thriller.
