This story was outside my normal genre and about a subject I have no experience with, as I was never interested in having children. I'm not entirely sure why I accepted this ARC except that when I read the excerpt, it caught my attention and I wanted to keep reading. However, I did finish the book and found the characters engaging. The writing was good, but I just found this to overall be a bit boring for me. Well, until the ending. That was unexpected and the main reason I gave 3 stars. I also feel that the author did a good job with the emotional aspect of the subject and the characters.
4.5 stars I really enjoyed this! It kept me hooked and had just the right balance of drama/suspense. Such an interesting take on the mother/daughter relationship while keeping you on your toes about what would happen next.
