Stay With Me

Truly compelling songs don’t just appear out of thin air. Life kicks them out of you. Knocks the wind out of you till you have no choice but to cough them up.Twenty-four-year-old Bryan Coletti is on stage in front of a thousand people and he. can’t. breathe.

But why? He’s living the dream. His band, 320 sycamore, is playing night one of three sold out shows at their hometown venue, and about to embark on their first world tour, headlining arenas instead of small rock clubs.

But the song that skyrocketed them to fame isn’t just a song for him. It’s the culmination of the last year of his life – and it was a hell of a year.

If I could give this book 6 stars I would. I was so excited to read this one and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I cannot get over how beautifully this book is written. It’s the kinda book that sticks with you long after you read it. It was so very impactful in every way, I basically spent the last 100 pages crying. I need that epilogue more than words can express lol and that SONG that comes with it! Holy heck, beyond amazing. I can’t wait for my physical copy and the books to come in the series (especially Henry’s book) do yourself a favor and read this one when it comes out, you will not regret it.

After telling Anna I was waiting to receive the funds to buy it myself and couldn't wait to read it, she literally sent me the whole book digitally because she's just that kind and an amazing friend 😭😭 I spent the next couple weeks taking my time reading it because I genuinely enjoyed being immersed in Bryan's world and getting to laugh and cry and fall in love with every one of the characters, who are all so amazingly written it's mind blowing. The relationships in Stay With Me are so heartwarming if not totally heartbreaking and throughout my entire read I probably felt a grand total of a million emotions. Everything that happens and especially the sensitive topics are beautifully written and I can very much safely say that Stay With Me found its way to being my top favorite book 💜 plus the POC representation meant so much to see being Hispanic myself and I seriously appreciate that it was included after hardly seeing it in the countless books I've read before. Not to mention how well and accurate the medical emergency is written!! 🫶🏼

I have the utmost honour of being Anna’s friend. Because of this I can confidently say that this book is a reflection of her soul. Her love of music really shines through.
Stay with me feels raw and real. It does not shy away from the difficult moments. The characters have depth and growth. There is beautiful prose and imagery. I laughed and cried. This book will “Stay With Me” for a long time. 😉I’m so excited to read this over again and for all the rest of the books!

Also, how incredible is it that you can listen to the final song? AMAZING 🩷🩷

READ THIS BOOK!!!

It was so good! It got me out of a very long reading slump and had everything I hoped it would have. This is one of those books that reminds you why you fell in love with reading in the first place. It was so well written and completely sucked me in from the very beginning.

The romance had me kicking my feet and giggling, but what really stood out to me was the way grief and mental health were portrayed. It was handled so beautifully and thoughtfully. This isn’t just your typical romance novel, it’s the kind of book that can make people feel less alone in whatever they’re going through. It’s truly moving.

I couldn’t put this book down. The characters were so lovable, and as someone who feels like music is everything, I loved how much that was reflected in the story. It shows how music can connect people and change lives, how it helps people through hard times and honestly I feel like this book can do that too.

A lot of debut authors struggle to find their voice at first, but that definitely wasn’t the case here. I absolutely loved the writing style, and by the last 100 pages I was bawling my eyes out. This is the kind of story that sticks with you long after you finish it.

And I am dying for that epilogue, I need to know what happens! I already love Bryan, Mallory, and Henry so much and can’t wait to be a part of their world again in the next books. These characters didn’t just feel like characters, they felt like real people I was rooting for, the way she portrayed them was just so raw and made them so lovable. I’ll definitely be supporting every book she releases!

I had the absolute privilege of reading this book early on and offering feedback to the author as it was being developed, for which I am so grateful. Throughout that process, I truly fell in love with this story and everything it has to offer.

In this novel, Anna B has written a story filled with equal parts humor and heart, with dynamic, three dimensional characters that feel so incredibly human with every word on the page. I think that is the true undercurrent of the story that grips me as a reader the most -- its sheer, unabashed humanness. Bryan's journey is one that I think will resonate with everyone to some extent, whether that be how he figures out what direction to go with his band, how he navigates his relationships -- both platonic and romantic -- with the people around him, or how the weight of everything that happens to him impacts him and his mental health.

It's a story that has made me both laugh out loud while reading and have to pause because the words are blurring together because I'm crying. It's a story that is imbued with the author's clear love and passion for music and what it can do for those who make it and those who listen to it. It's a story about love and grief. It's a story about struggling against adversity.

Beyond all else, it's a story about a band, and it is one that I would recommend without hesitation.

First, I would like to personally thank Anna for sending me this book digitally after I mentioned that I didn't have space in my budget to buy it from her, but wanted to read it. Her passion and kindness and infectious, and I am so, so grateful to have had the opportunity to read her debut novel!

After reading this book in 2 large sittings, I can vouch that Anna has every right to hype this up! The story itself was not what I was expecting, and I was pleasantly surprised. The themes in this story are so powerfully and carefully written that you can't help but see the characters as real people, speaking directly to you. I found myself holding my breath with them, crying with them, and laughing along with them. It's something I haven't seen in a long time, and it was such a breath of fresh air. Anna's style is effortless to read, and it really brings Bryan Coletti's story to life, with all his ups and downs.

Speaking of which, Bryan (and his other band mates in my favorite fictional band, 320 Sycamore) all have such well-written character arcs, and I CANNOT WAIT to read Henry's perspective when it's finished.

From music-packed action, to a beautifully written romance, to heartbreaking grief, to finding faith in the darkest moments, this book has everything you could ever want, and I am definitely going to recommend it to my friends!

I’m speechless in the best way. This book is a ballad to the human experience. I laughed, I cried, I laughed again, and then I cried some more. This story is RAW and unfiltered. It’s life. The characters are dynamic and so beautifully flawed and real.

You will be transported into an another dimension. A world where 320 Sycamore is a real band, a band with meaning and purpose. And, if you’re anything like me, a band that will be your new favorite band (even if they’re technically fictional).

Anna B. Does not shy away from the hard topics, instead she lifts them up and provides light to them and comfort to those who are experiencing (or have experienced) them. As someone who has been deeply impacted by more than one of the topics in this book, this story made me feel seen and connected. I hope that others will feel the same when they read this.

Anna— You have something so powerful in this book. I am so excited for the world to experience it.❤️ I can’t wait for what you do next!

P.s. There’s a SONG. Like a real song. Which is SO cool.

Anna really did something special with this book and I am so excited to know it’s part of a series. I can’t believe this is her first novel because of how easy I found it to read and connect to the characters and the story.
I am one who loves to savor the books I read and fully immerse myself in them. And I felt like I truly felt myself in so many parts of this book. Being a music fan I always get excited when anything pertains to this and this book is no exception.
Without giving any spoilers, this book made me feel love, it made me feel sadness and it really gave me a perspective on life that can so easily be lost. The storytelling and the depth in these characters is not something that I always can feel in a book, but this had it.
After finishing reading this, it was a moment where I truly had to sit with my feelings and truly be in the moment to appreciate it. So proud of you Anna!
Beautiful artwork, music, writing, all of it. Congrats to you. And I hope anyone reading this gets to experience it.

Wow, what a phenomenal book! I was extremely lucky to recieve an ARC from the author. From start to finish, I was invested in the story and its characters. Every detail and aspect of this book is written with so much care and depth. Each character, whether they are a main or side characters, is written so distinctly from personality to background. Once I finished it, I was already missing 320 Sycamore and the other characters (I especially miss Mallory). That tells you how real and grounded this book is!

If you're looking for a book that's a love letter to bands (and music in general), this novel is for you. If you love contemporary romance, this novel is for you. If you're looking for a powerful portrayal of mental health and the hardships people go through, this novel is for you. Overall, it's a 10/10 debut you do not want to miss!

I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to be an arc reader for Stay With Me.

Wow! I went into this blind and by the time I finished I was sobbing. This book was beautiful. Love, friendship, family, balancing all three with work, thinking of the future, grief, anxiety, depression.
I love books that focus on mental health because they are so relatable. I may not know what its like to become a famous rock star, but I do know what its like to struggle with grief and depression, as do many others. Reading Bryan's story brought tears to my eyes and tugged at my heartstrings.

I need to read the encore!!!!

This book is an absolute masterpiece! I haven't been this moved and impacted by a book in a very long time, if ever. And if I could I would give this book a million stars!
Anna is so talented in the way she writes her characters and their world. I was absolutely immersed the entire book! I really enjoyed the unique plot that felt so human, as Bryan faces writers block and trying to find love. She also is so talented in writing emotions, the plot twist near the end absolutely wrecked me, and I was crying so hard through the last quarter I could barely see the words. I also loved all the little 21 Pilots and pop culture references throughout! This is a must read book!

As the author’s husband, I was privileged enough to be along for the whole writing journey. In my personal opinion, Stay With Me really shines in its characters. The characters are all compelling, unique, and real. Their flaws, growth, and personalities make for a great, heartfelt story that balances humor with the hardships of life. All this makes you want to stay along for the ride and see how all the people in Bryan’s life impact him in a way that leads to his magnum opus.

I’m in no way bias, but you should definitely add this to your TBR and be on the lookout for the upcoming sequel(s).

This book is so meaningful. Anna wrote something so honest, raw, and real. This is about finding yourself in your 20s and learning to balance love, friendship, career, and mental health. The character growth through the hardships of life was so good, and really emphasized just how authentic this experience is, even if it’s not everyone’s career path. I felt every emotion reading this, but most importantly I felt understood in a way a lot of stories don’t capture. This is a must read story. I can’t wait to see what Anna does next.

As someone lucky enough to have gotten a chance to be one of the first readers of this debut novel, I can honestly say this a very worthwhile book to add to your TBR. The plot centers on a down-to-earth rockstar who is learning how to navigate fame, family, friends and love. Filled with emotion and depth and even has a surprising treat at the end. Cant wait for book 2!

What an honor it was to get to read an early edition of this! Stay With Me is a powerful dedication to love, music, and the kind of changes that add struggle, triumph, and purpose. Plus, it's got a song attached. Total win in my book. If you haven't already, definitely pre-order, because this is one release you won't want to miss. Thanks for putting your faith in me, Anna B. I'll never forget it.

I usually read fantasy so it wasn’t exactly my speed at first but it’s such an emotional and powerful story that delves into the hardships of reality and I love how utterly human everything is. This story carries such an important message to be heard.

It took me a while to compile my thoughts on this beautiful story in a way that I was satisfied with. It’s been a while since I’ve come across a read as genuine, as human, and as raw as Stay With Me. The mundane everyday moments in this story still feel compelling, and the weaving of music throughout the characters’ lives is something I can relate to heavily as a music lover. There’s a difference between a story that’s written with music as a plot point, and a story that’s written through and through for the love of music and the understanding of how it moves us all- and this is that second one. An absolute delight to read. I’m waiting eagerly for the rest of the 320 Sycamore trilogy!!
