I wasn’t going into this with many expectations and holy cannoli, did it knock my socks off!

This sapphic romance is getting added to my recommendations list, stat.

Violet is one of our FMCs. Her alter ego is Solace, a world-famous pop star. But by day, she’s just Violet.

Then there is Skye, our USA women’s Olympic hockey team captain who’s a bit of a domme 😏

Violet catches her boyfriend cheating, who is a men’s Olympic hockey team member. They’re forced to go to Italy together because he’s playing and she’s singing at the closing ceremonies as Solace.

What Violet didn’t expect was to meet Skye and learn what she has been missing her entire life.

We love a gay awakening!

The twists and turns along the way are crazy and the spice was oh so good.

I had the pleasure of reciting this as an e-ARC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. Lilith just wow!! You rocked this out of the park!! I absolutely loved this book!! If you like dark sapphic romance with BD$M, secret identity and touch her and ☠️ you will definitely love this one!! Violet is a rock star with secrets and Skye is a USA an Olympian hockey player. The build up and character building was phenomenal!! You could feel all the emotions that these characters went through that they felt so real!! I especially loved the end of the book where Lilith adds her story bloopers they had me laughing!! Chef kiss Lilith for your debut novel!!

Skye and Violet have the tension that every book needs!

Skye is an Olympic Hockey player and heads to Milan for the games. Violet is a mega pop star that is being hidden and is also heading to Milan to close the games, she is also being taken advantage of by her record label and just broke off her relationship!

Violet is struggling with her sexuality when she finds herself bumping into Skye and can’t stop thinking about her.

The character building and the story were great, and I look forward to reading more from Lilith!

First off I want to say Thank You for letting me being an ARC reader for this fantastic book!! I love this so much!! I love the diversity of Vi’s life with Solace’s pop star life! I love the hockey world as well, the fact that her team (even if they are from different teams) suck by her side after the encounter with the crazy ex! Girl I have to say the Dom/Sub 🤯🥵🪭 like wow!! Amazing all around! I definitely need to get me a physical copy to mark all my favorite parts!! Also I didn’t forget the best friend/wife (lol) Cas oh how I love her!! I want her as a best friend!!!

This is a great book and I was sad when the book was over. I really hope that we get another book with Skye and Violet, even if it’s just a novella.
There were spots in the book where I was holding my breath and was on the edge of my seat, IYKYK
I can’t wait to see what else Lilith writes. I know I will eat it up. I found another one click author to add to my short list.

Sparks & Slapshots absolutely stole my heart!

This book delivered the perfect blend of swoony romance, emotional depth, and high-stakes Olympic drama. Skye and Violet couldn’t be more different on paper. One is focused, guarded, and determined to bring home gold, while the other lives in the spotlight hiding secrets beneath layers of glitter and fame. Their opposites-attract chemistry was electric from the very first meeting.

I loved how the romance developed naturally amid the pressures of competition, family struggles, and public scrutiny. The tension between them was addictive, and every interaction had me rooting for them harder. Skye’s protective nature paired with Violet’s vibrant personality created a dynamic that felt both heartfelt and unforgettable.

Beyond the romance, the story tackled themes of identity, sacrifice, and finding the courage to be yourself in a world that demands perfection. The Olympic setting added excitement and urgency, making every moment feel larger than life.

If you love sapphic romance, opposites attract, celebrity meets athlete, and plenty of emotional tension with a satisfying payoff, then this is a must-read.

Glitter, gold medals, hidden secrets, and undeniable chemistry. This one was a winner from start to finish.

I am thankful I was given the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book. I this review is my honest feedback for the book.

From the very beginning I got hooked on this book. Skye and Violet may be opposites but they are great together. Without giving away anything in the story I will say that there were a few parts where I couldn't help but giggle at what Violet said to or about someone. The vibes that I got from this book are amazing and I felt like I was in the moment with the characters themselves while I was reading from their POV. The sad and tense parts I could feel just as much as the parts that were happy and more lighthearted. I will say that I highly recommend this book if you want a book that is focused around hockey and even some secrets as well that you get to learn about throughout the story. I will say that this would have to be so far one of my absolute favorite reads that I have done so far this year.

Great character building and build up of the story in general. And the twist in the end...magnificent!

Violet is headed there to sing...just not as herself, but the person behind a mask.

Absolutely love this. This is a sapphic romance. So the two main female characters are very much from different worlds. The first one is a US Olympic hockey player. The second one is from what a lot of people know a surgeon but she has a secret identity. There is BDSM, there's betrayal from multiple angles, their cheating so it's not the two main characters, there's a discovery and coming out situation. I really enjoyed this book and I would highly recommend it if you enjoy sapphic romance and sports romance mixed with BDSM.

Lilith did such an amazing job with Sparks & Slapshots. I absolutely love the characters- who wouldn't love a hockey player and singer duo who have amazing chemistry together. The side characters are pretty amazing if I do say so myself (My personal favorite is Riley). I loved every second of this book... Oh and the blooper reel at the end--- sent me laughing my head off. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next!!!

Lilith spent time building these characters, giving the readers actual plot and not just spice. It was quick (because I couldn't put it down), fun, not too dark, with a surprising twist near the end. If someone is looking to dip there toe into the world of dark romance this would be a great start!

This book had me at the edge of my seat. The banter was cute it had touch and her 💀 vibes. The plot twist at the end had me at the edge of my seat. You have a secret identity pop star meets a head strong hockey player. Both FMC's had great character build up and they were amazing!!!!!! Must read it has the perfect amount of spice and plot!!!!!! Loved this book ♥️♥️

This book was great if you LOVE banter between the main characters, and romance that seems like it won’t happen but then something happens. Also, make sure to check your trigger warnings as well. I would rate this book 4 stars because it’s been awhile since a read a book in a week! I just couldn’t put this book down for very long and that includes sleep! @Lilith Crowe love your writing!

Lilith Crowe is a new author to me, and I didn't know what to expect, especially since sapphoric books are not my go-to reads. Sparks and Slapshots is a great read. The characters are relatable, and the story is well written. The twist at the end is truly unexpected. If Ms. Crowe keeps writing like this, I will definitely be reading more from her.
