3.5 stars: I found the premise quite compelling, omegaverse combined with WITSEC, a motorcycle club and of course, characters who had their own quirks. The entire backstory with pack Mordred is intriguing, I thought that more information could have been revealed about their motives for kidnapping the sisters as I reckon there is quite a bit more to unpack when it comes to that particular element, but probably more details would be provided in the other books.

I liked Willow, her ability to train dogs for protection purposes certainly won me over. As a dog lover myself, I greatly appreciated not only the FMC's efforts, but also the Hellbent Hounds MC sheltering quite a few rescued animals. Willow, Cujo and Gy worked well together, despite her initial reservations, the guys did manage to win her over. The relationship developed fast, but considering the genre that was expected. I do think they could have spent more time getting to know each other prior to jumping straight to living together.

Another element that I did like was the fact that the sisters did keep in touch though they had to be quite careful with their messages. The one thing that did not make sense to me was how they were able just to live their life knowing that Aspen is still in the hands of the vicious pack. I really felt for that girl as she was still in the clutches of those demons, while here sisters though in hiding, were far away from the abuse of the villains.

Overall, I liked the story and for me it has the potential to turn into great series if characters are more fleshed out. Frankly, I really want to read Aspen's story though I guess it might be the last one to come out. I would recommend it though please be advised that there are some rather challenging scenes on page.

the main plot (pack mordred and its relation to the sisters) was very interesting and i wish that was also better explored in this book…

maybe willow’s story could’ve even been a duet, who knows… the relationship pace is also quite fast and with not enough one on one time and well as sex scenes

i’d honestly advise getting some beta readers and if they exist then get some others or more.

but… overall… i enjoyed reading it 🤷🏼‍♀️

the guys are possessive assholes and yet sweet and protective and the mc brings the much needed side characters (besides the sisters)

Willow’s story absolutely broke my heart. She’s been through something horrific, losing the life she once knew and being forced into hiding after surviving unimaginable violence. And honestly? Watching Willow slowly find her way back to herself was one of my favourite parts of this story.

Then along come Cujo and Gy… and these two are everything. 🥵

As members of the Hellbent Hounds MC, they’re huge, dangerous, protective Alphas who don’t hesitate to get their hands dirty. But when they realise Willow is their scent-match, that protective instinct goes into overdrive. These men are absolutely ruthless when it comes to keeping her safe, and I was here for every second of it!

I loved the contrast between Willow’s gentle nature and the darkness of Cujo and Gy. She may be damaged by everything she’s endured, but she’s never truly weak. Seeing her begin to heal, find confidence, and realise she doesn’t have to face the darkness alone made her journey so satisfying.

This book has danger, suspense, found family, protective Alphas, fated mates, an MC, hurt/comfort, animals, and plenty of steam. 🔥

But underneath all the darkness is something much more emotional—a story about surviving trauma, finding people who see you for who you really are, and finally learning how to live rather than simply exist.

And Cujo and Gy?

Let’s just say… anyone who comes after their woman better be prepared to meet the hounds. 🐺

I loved this one and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys dark, protective romance with a strong emotional storyline and men who will happily burn the world down for their mate.

I really enjoyed this one! The pacing was spot on, and the writing style made it so easy to get completely swept up in the story. Nothing felt unnecessarily dragged out, and I loved watching the relationship between Willow, Cujo and Gy develop naturally throughout the book.

Cujo was definitely a favourite for me. He has those slightly unhinged, psychopathic tendencies that somehow make him even more appealing because when it comes to Willow, he will absolutely do whatever it takes to protect her. 🥵 Gy was the perfect contrast to Cujo, older, sweet, caring and completely obsessed with Willow. I loved the different dynamics they each brought to the relationship.

The three of them worked so well together, and I really appreciated that their connection felt like it was actually developing rather than everything happening instantly. They were all such great characters, and I found myself invested in their relationship and wanting to see where things would go.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable omegaverse read with great characters, a strong pace, plenty of possessiveness and a relationship dynamic I really loved. Definitely one I’d recommend if you enjoy omegaverse with protective, obsessed MMCs. 🖤

I really could not get enough of this book! It brought out so much emotion from me - I was yelling and squirming and squealing and wincing throughout - all in a very good way! I loved the way that Bent Knot Broken had me in its grip! I absolutely love MC romances. The ruggedness of the MMCs, but then put them in an omegaverse world with Alphas with heightened possessiveness and also add in ex-military expertise, too? Oh my lanta, what an absolute dream! Ellie completely nailed this merging of tropes! I was utterly melting at the scent-match dynamic between Willow and Lincoln and Dean. I loved the undeniable instincts and palpable dominance. Even better, despite all of that, Willow didn’t allow herself to be steamrolled. The plot was despairingly dark at times but was intermittently streaked with light, too, giving the story a balance of a myriad of emotions. Bent Knot Broken is the first book in The Omegas of WITSEC series and while this is a HFN ending, I’m on the edge of my seat for the next book!

I loved this one. What an amazing storyline. I loved the MC, the sisters, and loved the connection between Willow, Cujo, and Gy. This was intense and chaotic. Sweet and spicy. I loved that Cujo and Gy were a part of the MC, and by no means were they anything to scoff at. Cujo was a little psycho but that was all good lol. I really enjoyed being pulled into this one. It kept me invested with all that spice and those twists and turns. Definitely one worth reading a second and third time.

Okay, this one was a wild ride! I went into Bent Knot Broken expecting a dark, spicy omegaverse romance, but I got so much more than that. The mix of WITSEC, an MC, suspense, found family, and romance made this one incredibly easy to get sucked into.

Willow really stood out to me. She’s been through so much, yet she still manages to be strong, caring, and determined. I loved watching her find people who actually wanted to protect and support her. And the chemistry? 🔥🔥 Let’s just say Ellie Exton definitely knows how to bring the spice!

I also really enjoyed the contrast between the characters. There’s possessiveness, tension, banter, danger, and plenty of moments that had me completely invested. Some parts were heavy, but there were enough sweet and funny moments mixed in to keep the story balanced.

Overall, this was a solid 4-star read for me. I loved the unique combination of omegaverse and MC romance, and I’m definitely curious about where this series goes next. If you like dark omegaverse, possessive men, found family, suspense, and a healthy dose of spice, put this one on your TBR! ❤️‍🔥

Okay, this one had me hooked.

Bent Knot Broken throws Willow, an Omega living in witness protection after her old life went violently sideways, straight into the path of not one but *two Alpha scent matches*, Cujo and Gy. And it's clear that subtlety was never invited to this particular party because the attraction hits almost immediately.

Normally, insta-lust can be really hit or miss for me. I still want chemistry and tension. I want something beyond *you're hot, I'm hot, let's get down to business.*

But honestly, this worked.

The banter between Willow and the guys was probably one of my favorite parts of the entire book. There's a playful, filthy push-and-pull underneath their interactions that made the faster relationship development feel fun rather than completely weightless. Add in all that Alpha/Omega scent-match insanity and the spicy tension basically walks around the book carrying enough heat to melt the walls.

And the spice? Yeah. A very comfortable 4/5.

This is hot, unapologetically lusty omegaverse territory. There is plenty of spicy tension and hotter than hot heat, and Exton absolutely understands why some of us showed up when we saw the word *knot* in the title. The chemistry between Willow, Cujo, and Gy is immediate and physical, with enough possessive Alpha energy to keep my attention very firmly on the page.

My biggest issue, though, was some of the dialogue.

There were definitely moments where a line would land and I'd go, "nope, absolutely not, please never say that again." 😂 Some of the wording veered a little too cheesy or cringe for my personal taste and temporarily yanked me out of scenes that otherwise had me completely invested.

Thankfully, it never happened often enough to kill the chemistry for me.

Because underneath those occasional dialogue hiccups, I genuinely liked Willow and the dynamic developing between the three of them. There's also enough danger surrounding her witness-protection situation to give the story something sharper underneath all that lust. She's carrying trauma and trying to figure out who the heck she can trust, and suddenly she's dealing with two Alphas whose instincts are basically screaming "OURS".

And I have to say, watching Willow finally get a little revenge with the help of her men was extremely satisfying. After everything hanging over her, getting to see some of that power shift back into her hands gave the story the payoff I wanted.

Overall, Bent Knot Broken was a fast, addictive, deliciously high-heat read that gave me exactly the kind of omegaverse chaos I wanted. It wasn't flawless, and some of the dialogue made me physically recoil before climbing right back aboard the spicy train, but the banter, chemistry, possessiveness, revenge, suspense, and heat kept me turning pages.

And now I desperately need two things:

1. More books in this series and 2. an audiobook.

Because if this gets the right narrators? Cujo and Gy in my headphones could become a serious problem. lol

Willow’s story absolutely broke my heart, but watching her slowly begin to find her way back to herself was also one of my favourite things about this book.

She has survived unimaginable trauma and lost almost everything about the life she once knew. What I really appreciated was that Ellie Exton never made Willow’s strength mean that she was magically okay. She’s still dealing with triggers, fear and the consequences of what happened to her. She’s fierce and independent, but she’s also vulnerable, and that combination made her feel so much more real to me.

Then along comes Cujo and Gy...

Two members of the Hellbent Hounds MC, two Alpha scent-matches, two VERY protective men and one Omega who has absolutely no intention of letting either of them steamroll her. 😂

Cujo was probably my favourite. There’s something about the slightly unhinged, morally questionable, “I will deal with anyone who threatens you” type that apparently works for me. Who knew 😂 Gy was the perfect contrast. Older, steadier and caring, but no less devoted to Willow.

I loved watching their relationship develop because their scent-match might bring them together, but it doesn’t magically solve everything. Cujo and Gy have to learn that protecting Willow means understanding her boundaries and listening to what she actually needs, rather than simply deciding for her. Willow, meanwhile, has to figure out whether she can trust these two men enough to let them into the life she has fought so hard to rebuild.

There’s also so much happening outside their relationship. The WITSEC storyline, MC world, Willow’s sisters, found family, rescue animals and ongoing danger kept the pacing moving and had me flying through this.

There were moments where I wanted a little more breathing room around some of the heavier emotional consequences, particularly considering everything Willow has survived. I also spent a fair amount of time wanting to shake some supposedly sensible people and ask what exactly they thought they were doing. 😂

But overall, this was dark, emotional, suspenseful, funny in unexpected places and completely addictive.

If you love dark omegaverse with MC vibes, protective and possessive Alphas, hurt/comfort, found family, suspense and an FMC who refuses to surrender her independence, this one is absolutely worth checking out.

And those breadcrumbs about Willow’s sisters...Yep. I’m coming back. I need to know what happens next. 🖤

This book is DARK, emotional, slightly unhinged and somehow still managed to make me laugh. Basically, a very dangerous combination for me. 😂

Willow was easily the heart of the story. She has survived things that should have destroyed her, but I loved that her strength never meant pretending the trauma wasn’t there. She’s vulnerable, angry, stubborn and very clear about what she needs. Most importantly, being an Omega doesn’t magically turn her into someone willing to surrender control of her own life.

And then Gy and Cujo arrive…

Two possessive Alphas with questionable morals, protective instincts dialled up to absolutely ridiculous levels, and approximately ZERO idea what to do with an Omega who refuses to behave the way they expect her to. 😂 Watching them realise that loving Willow means listening to her rather than simply deciding what’s best for her was probably my favourite part of their dynamic.

The chemistry between the three of them definitely chemistryed. 🔥 But I actually enjoyed the emotional and protective side of their relationship just as much as the spice. Give me dangerous men who would happily destroy someone for her, but also have to learn how to make her feel safe, and apparently I’m sold.

I also really enjoyed the MC atmosphere, the sisters, the dogs and the larger storyline running underneath the romance. There is a lot happening here beyond the relationship, particularly surrounding Willow’s past, and some moments genuinely made me furious on her behalf.

That said, there were parts where I wanted a little more time for the emotional consequences of everything happening. With trauma this heavy, certain developments occasionally felt faster than I expected. I also wanted to shake a few supposedly reasonable people and ask them what exactly they thought they were doing.

But overall? This was intense, messy, protective, spicy and addictive. It gave me damaged characters, morally questionable Alphas, an FMC who refuses to be treated as fragile, sister bonds, revenge and enough breadcrumbs about the other characters to make me VERY curious about where this series is going.

And considering there are more sisters…

Yeah. I’m absolutely coming back for the chaos. 🖤🔥

From the very beginning, this story completely pulled me in and refused to let go. There is so much pain, trauma, strength, and emotion woven into these sisters’ story. What they have endured is heartbreaking, and Ellie did an incredible job making their experiences feel raw, real, and deeply emotional. There were moments I wanted to jump straight into the book and make sure everyone who hurt them got exactly what they deserved!

Willow absolutely stole the show for me. Despite everything she has been through and the triggers she continues to battle, she is one seriously strong FMC. She knows what she needs, isn't afraid to speak her mind, and definitely isn't going to let anyone treat her like a typical Omega.

And then we have her two Alphas These two had me laughing more than once! They may be morally pitch black, obsessed with their Omega, and completely confident in their Alpha instincts, but they quickly discover that Willow is not someone they can simply take control of. Watching them learn to understand her, respect her boundaries, and figure out how to share her was equal parts entertaining, sweet, and absolutely delicious.

The chemistry between these three was. Add in the scent match connection, the suspense, the WITSEC element, the MC vibes, and all the spice, and this book had me completely hooked.

And let's talk about the revenge! Watching Willow finally get some of the justice she deserved especially with her Alphas helping deliver it was SO satisfying.

There were definitely moments when I wanted to scream at the so called good guys because some of their choices had me thinking, Are you seriously treating Willow like SHE'S the problem?

This story gave me ALL the emotions anger, heartbreak, laughter, suspense, spice, and plenty of moments that had me completely invested in Willow and her sisters. And those little breadcrumbs for what's coming next? I'm already impatient!

Ellie, you absolutely delivered with this one. I am completely invested in this series and cannot wait to see how the next three books unfold. Most importantly, I need these sisters to get the HEAs they deserve!

I'm withholding judgement for now... Kinda

I don't hate this book but I don't love it nearly as much as I was hoping to.

My biggest complaint is, unfortunately, the main female character. Her personality is great; she's funny, smart, spunky and wants to be her own person. A lot of her actions and decisions are at odds with the level of trauma she has experienced though. The timeline is slightly vague but leaves me with an impression of months, not years, since rescue. Her lack of reticence so soon is absurd.

The guys are not bad. Gytrash has officially stolen the spot for "worst main character name EVER" but personality wise both he and Cujo work. You want to slap the misogynistic stupid out of them but don't want to risk the protective love falling out too. I will say, I kept hoping that Puppy/Lassie would become a part of Willow's happy band of men but apparently I can't have everything I want.

There is a TON of potential for the sequel characters, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some of my favorites to lock in (no omegaverse pun intended).

The antagonist plotlines leave me slightly torn. The author has straddled a very fine line between excessively extreme and still not glorifying the trauma, but she is toeing right on the line. I hope she keeps herself in check and avoids normalizing or glamorizing the violence in future books. My biggest issue with the antagonists is the lack of motive. What Devlin indicates as his intention now, is not what seems to have started this evil, and without some motivation it's erring on the side of violence for shock value, without substance to the story.

The pacing is decent, if slightly inconsistent. The editing is pretty solid, without any exceptionally noticeable errors. It's not a bad start for a series but, and I cannot express this enough, audience matters for this book. This is not a book for teens or anyone with a sensitive constitution. The triggers are warned for a reason - you gotta be self aware and not masochistic with this one. I'll send you a synopsis or something, but don't ignore the warnings.

Bent Knot Broken by Ellie Exton is an absolute rollercoaster, and if you’re into dark, high-stakes omegaverse, this one delivers on every front. Set in the gritty little town of Broken Ridge, Texas, the story follows Willow, an omega living under witness protection after surviving unimaginable trauma at the hands of a dangerous pack. She’s trying to keep a low profile with her protective dog, Bruce, but her world completely collides with the Hellbent Hounds MC.

The twist that totally pulled me in is that Willow doesn’t just have one scent match, she has two, and they happen to be the club’s Vice President, Gytrash, and Sergeant-at-Arms, Cujo. But Willow isn’t your typical passive omega waiting to be rescued. She’s guarded, fierce, and ready to pull a taser or a blade the second her boundaries are pushed. Ellie Exton strikes such a great balance between deep trauma recovery and raw, feral chemistry, making every bit of progress between them feel genuinely hard-won rather than cheap or easy.

Willow is easily the star of the book. Her hypervigilance and protective instincts make her someone you instantly root for. The dynamic between her, Gy, and Cujo creates unreal tension, Gytrash brings this possessive, chaotic energy while Cujo is all intense, watchful dominance. Plus, the non-shifting MC backdrop, the looming threat of her past catching up with her, and the sweet inclusion of rescue dogs all give the story so much depth.

I also really enjoyed the Hellbent Hounds and the mystery surrounding Pack Mordred. The story kept throwing more at Willow and her men, and the search for Aspen added another layer to everything. The ending gave that satisfying feeling of Willow finally having a home and a pack, while still leaving enough open for what’s coming next.

Overall, though, it’s an emotional, action-packed read with protective heroes, huge stakes, and a heroine who refuses to lose her autonomy. If you love dark contemporary romance and intense character bonds, it’s definitely a solid 4-star read.

Ellie Exton, you have completely outdone yourself! I’ve enjoyed all the books you have written but this one is by far my favorite! I could NOT put this book down! It was addicting and sad and terrifying, funny, and swoon worthy all in one!

Willow, our FMC, is so sweet and so strong! The things that she has been through?! It’s amazing that she’s still standing. So much responsibility seems to fall on her shoulders as the eldest daughter. Having to stay strong for her sisters, finding/meeting her mates, while in WITSEC, training/rescuing protection dogs…yeah, she’s got a LOT going on while still continuing to be so nice to everyone around her. It’s a good thing her scent-matches have her back!

Cujo and Gy? Yeah, these MMCs are the COMPLETE opposite of each other! Gy’s a bit friendlier, a bit more happy go lucky, with a sprinkle of responsibility as he is the VP for the Hellbent Hounds MC. Cujo on the other hand? I think he’d have been happier never speaking to anyone and only having to take down people so to speak. The Sergeant at Arms is definitely a lot more rougher around the edges! You know what they do have in common tho? They want Willow! It was extremely entertaining reading these two be so possessive over Willow whilst trying to figure out how to become a team to help Willow with all that’s going on in her life!

And…I would be completely remiss if I didn’t mention Bruce and how protective of a dog he is! He’s doing such a good job protecting his mama! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series about Willows sisters and all the pups Willow has trained to protect them! I hope to see Lucy and Bigfoot in future books.

This was my first read by Ellie Exton, and she did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the omegaverse world she created, especially how she broke down the differences between the omegas, alphas, and betas before even getting into the nitty-gritty details of the story. It made it so much easier to understand how her world worked without feeling like I had to figure everything out along the way.

There are some triggers in this book, so if you have any, I definitely suggest checking the trigger warnings before diving in.

Sooo, let’s get into the book…

We have Willow, an abused omega who has been placed in witness protection and is now trying to blend in and hide who she really is. The last thing she expects is to accidentally find her scent matches.

Enter Cujo and Gy.

Finding her scent matches was definitely NOT part of Willow’s plan, but there’s only so much hiding you can do when you have two obsessed and possessive alphas who just want to love and protect you. The only problem? Willow can’t exactly tell them who she really is.

As the three of them grow closer, trust slowly starts to build, secrets become harder to keep, and of course, there are some fights along the way. And yes, this is a why-choose romance, so there are plenty of spicy moments between Willow and her two alphas. 👀

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. I loved the omegaverse world, the possessive alphas, and watching Willow slowly begin to trust them despite everything she’s been through. Ellie Exton definitely has me interested in seeing where this story goes next, and I cannot wait to read more!

Bent, But Far From Broken

The title of this book describes our MFC more perfectly than anything else I could come up with. Before Willow meets Gy and Cujo (our MMCs), she has already gone through unimaginable loss and been tortured at the hands of mad men. She and her sisters are part of WITSEC, and the men who changed their life forever are still free, except for one that Willow was supposed to be testifying against soon. Of course, the bad guys weren't happy about that, so you know the drama & the danger we’re going to be growing throughout the book. Thankfully, Willow has an amazing guard/emotional support dog named Bruce, and even without the new men in her life, who happened to be in an MC, you can’t count Willow out when it comes to defending herself. This girl has spirit and is so feisty, and I absolutely loved her personality. Then we have her alphas, Gy and Cujo, who go all in from the moment they realize Willow’s their Omega, even though they truly screw it up right at the beginning lol & even though they’re brothers through the MC, it still takes a while to learn to share lol. Don’t worry though, the book isn’t all intense danger & drama, we also get plenty of romance as only MC men seem to be able to give, and plenty of yummy spice 🔥 This book pulled me in from the very first chapter and kept me on the edge of my seat all the way to the very end. I’m already completely feral in the need of the next book in this series, cause I need all of these sisters to get their HEA (side note, really hoping Rowan’s book is next & if she & Fenrir don’t end up together I may start a rebellion 😝). I just know this whole series is going to be absolutely amazing, and I can’t wait for more ❤️

Wow this one was a wild ride! I expected a easy, maybe light-hearted omegaverse, but what I read was so much more than that. Firstly, this does definitely have dark themes, so please, please check your triggers. They include on-page non-consent of a captive (not the FMC who was the focus of this book, but an important side character) from her own POV, so be aware of that. This is a wit-sec book, so the whole story is set around witness protection, as the FMC is a key witness against a ruthless gang who tortured her and her family. Her two MMCs are scent-matches, so having them know she is their omega, but her being totally uninterested at the start, was a fun read. The rivalry between the two MMCs and seeing this slowly morph into a brotherhood and accepting that they are a pack together, was really wholesome. The action was really fun, and quite realistic. I never had a moment of wanting to reach through my phone and shake the FMC for being stupid. She was smart, aware and a bit of a bad ass. I also loved the rescue dog aspect of this book, coming from someone who adopts traumatised and abused dogs of my own, I found it incredibly relateable and realistic. If you enjoy these, definitely give this book a go!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — I Could Not Put This One Down

Bent Knot Broken completely pulled me in. I went into this expecting an omegaverse MC romance, but I got so much more than that. There’s suspense, mystery, danger, found family, emotional moments, humor, and enough twists to keep me constantly wondering what was really going on.

Willow was such a strong main character. She has been through so much, but I loved that her past didn’t define her entire personality. She’s intelligent, capable, stubborn, funny, and determined to have some control over her own life. I also really enjoyed watching her relationships develop rather than feeling like everything happened instantly just because of scent matches.

The Hellbent Hounds were one of my favorite parts of the book. The personalities, the banter, the ridiculous road names, and the way this group becomes a family gave some much-needed lighter moments to a story that gets pretty dark. I found myself genuinely invested in these characters.

And the mystery! Every time I thought I had something figured out, another piece of information made me rethink my theory. There were several points where I told myself I was going to stop reading—and then immediately kept going because I needed answers.

There are some very heavy themes in this book, so I definitely recommend checking the content warnings. But for me, the darker elements felt like they had a purpose within the story rather than being included simply for shock value.

My only complaint? I NEED THE NEXT BOOK. 😂 There are still questions I desperately want answered, and seeing “Coming Soon” might have been the most painful part of the entire experience.

An easy 5 stars for me. I was completely invested, thoroughly entertained, and already impatient to return to this world. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book caught my eye when Ellie posted about it in a Facebook group and then I saw the application come up for ARC readers and I thought what are the chances? I had already preordered this amazing goodie!

I took the chance and I was accepted to read early. This book sucked me in and did not let me go. There is so much raw pain and hurt in this book for these sisters that you can't help but want to go inside the book and hurt whoever hurt them and wipe them from the face of the earth. Oh my goodness did Ellie make this book real and raw.

What these girls go through and continue to go through I can't even begin to write that in this review without breaking out in tears and giving major spoilers. But Willow....she is hands down a major baddie even though she had major triggers to deal with.

Her two guys don't know what they are in for when they meet her and try to deal with her the way they would a normal Omega. She puts them in their place and lets them know she will not deal with the way they want to handle things. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and let them know she needs things done a certain way and they respect that.

When things go sideways in this book I am appalled at how things are handled by THE GOOD GUYS!! Like come on!! You are supposed to be on Willow's side and you turn around and treat her like she is the bad guy?

Ellie I am in awe of how you wrote this book and I cannot wait to see how the next three books play out and I pray for the sisters to all get their HEA!!

This was an absolutely fantastic read. Willow is snarky perfection and her love for animals (shout out to Bruce and the pups) is completely endearing. Gy and Cujo firmly cement their places in the book boyfriend hall of fame.

Willow’s story absolutely broke my heart.💔 She’s survived something horrific, but surviving and actually living are two very different things, and watching her slowly find her way back to herself made this such an emotional read.🫂

I loved the contrast between Willow’s softer nature and the sheer darkness surrounding Gy and Cujo. These two Alpha officers of the Hellbent Hounds MC are absolutely ruthless when it comes to protecting what’s theirs, and once they realise Willow is their scent match, there is no question that they’re going to stand between her and anyone who threatens her.

The animal rescue and protection dog training added such a great layer to Willow’s character too. It gave her something meaningful to hold onto while showing just how strong she really is beneath all the hurt.

The chemistry between the three of them was intense, but what really got me was the protective bond developing between Willow, Gy, and Cujo. There’s darkness, danger, emotional healing, possessiveness, and plenty of moments that had me completely invested in what would happen next.

Bent Knot Broken takes you through some heavy emotions, but it also gives Willow something she desperately needs, people who see her, protect her, and refuse to let her face the darkness alone.

And that whole “Release the Hounds” attitude? Absolutely perfect. 🖤🐺

A gripping, emotional, dark paranormal romance with a seriously protective pair of Alphas and a heroine who deserves her chance to finally live again. Five stars from me!

This is my first book from Ellie Exton but it didn’t disappoint and I’m so looking forward for much more! Bent Knot Broken is exactly the kind of dark, chaotic and ridiculously addictive omegaverse romance that is impossible to put down.

This book may follow Willow but it actually follows her and her sisters as they are seperated and put into WITSEC. As you can guess from the title, its an OMGEA Verse book and I’ve only recently drove into this genre and I’m slowly falling in love.

Willow is an incredibly captivating FMC. She is trying to protect the ones she loves while carrying a lot of emotional baggage after being forced into hiding and losing the life she once knew. Her strength truly impressed me. She is still kind, considerate, and committed to creating something for herself in spite of everything she has gone through. She felt like more than just a romantic heroine because of her work rescuing and training protective dogs, which was such a fantastic addition to her character.

Cujo and Gy. Their connection with Willow is hilarious because these two are so dissimilar. Cujo is much darker, calmer, and more menacing than Gy, who is more gregarious and playful. One of my favourite aspects of the narrative was witnessing these two alpha men figure out how to cooperate while also being utterly enamoured with Willow, as they are both passionately protective of her.

The notion of deeper suspense appealed to me. The story is much more than just a hot romance because of Willow's past, her secret identity, and the dangers that surround her. The heavier topics aren't always easy to read, and there are some truly poignant and challenging moments.

Ellie Exton has definitely created a series here that I'm going to want to continue. If the next books focus on Willow's sisters and their stories, I'm already invested!

Bent Knot Broken by Ellie Exton is the first book in the Omegas of WITSEC series. While I enjoyed it overall, I would have liked more information about what happened to the sisters. The story gives readers small glimpses here and there, but I often felt like I was missing part of the bigger picture. I'm hoping future books in the series will provide those answers because I can't wait to continue reading.
Aside from that, I loved how different this take on an omegaverse/motorcycle club romance was. The Hellbent Hounds MC is made up mostly of former military members, and there is no animal shifting, which made the story feel fresh and unique. Willow is in witness protection, as are her sisters, but not together, after experiencing something terrible, and she has lost the entire life she once knew. My heart broke for her, but I enjoyed watching her slowly reclaim her confidence and rediscover who she truly is.
One of my favorite aspects was Willow's work with dogs who were dealing with their own trauma. It mirrored her healing journey beautifully. Cujo and Gy are obsessive, protective alphas who discover they are both scent-matched to Willow, raising the stakes and intensity of the story immediately.
The book is packed with danger, suspense, and emotional moments. I especially loved the found family dynamic and the fated mates elements. Just be sure to check the trigger warnings before diving in. Overall, this was an engaging start to the series, and I'm excited to see where the story goes next.

Enjoyable but wanted more development

I loved the tropes for this story and while I enjoyed it there were definitely places I really wanted more. Felt like this could have easily been a duet.

I love a fierce FMC and having her dog was fantastic. He was loyal, protective and helpful. Plus her training the MCs lost cause dogs was adorable.

I feel like we didn't get enough of the backstory. How did she end up in WITSEC? I get the situation is bad but how did she get out exactly? How is one sister still there? I'm guessing the rest of the series will be the other sisters but will we have to get all the stories before we have a good handle on the timeline and everything that happened?

I love an overprotective MMC and MC romance give those possessive guys even more to stand on. Though the MC didn't feel like it was all that important to the story with the exception of a couple characters and the scent matches.

I wish the relationships with the men had more building to them. They were very caveman with her and it didn't make sense for her to give in so easily.

The spice we got was really good. There were some really fun scenes. The guys shared easily even though they were not about that initially. I also feel like Willow just said whatever they can have me and just let it be biological.

I loved the cut she got at the end. It made me giggle. While they have their HEA there is still a lot in the air.

I hope we get more with the next books cause there are still so many questions. I love the hacker though. She is cheeky.

I absolutely LOVE Omegaverse, and this book did NOT disappoint. Holy crap! 🔥

Lincoln and Dean?! Holy HOT Alphas! The chemistry these two have with Willow is seriously burn-the-pages hot. The tension, the spice, and the connection between all three of them had me completely hooked.

And if there’s one thing I love, it’s a feral, overprotective Alpha, and Lincoln and Dean DELIVERED. I loved how protective they were of Willow and how each of them had their own connection with her. They brought different things to their relationship, but together? So freaking good!

This book also had the perfect combination of drama, action, romance, and spice. There was always something happening that kept me wanting one more chapter, and it gave me everything I look for in an addictive Omegaverse.

But let’s talk about Willow because I LOVE HER.

She’s sweet and sassy but absolutely knows how to stand her ground. She’s not afraid to fight back, and when the violence comes out?! YES MA’AM. 😂 I love an FMC who can be soft without being helpless, and Willow was exactly that. She’s easily become one of my favorite FMCs I’ve read recently.

Ellie, you’ve done amazing with this one! The characters, the chemistry, the feral Alpha energy, the action, and all that delicious drama made this such a fun read.

I’m officially invested, and I cannot wait for the rest of this series! Give me more Lincoln, Dean, Willow, and whatever chaos comes next because I am HERE FOR ALL OF IT!

Oh My Gosh. This is a must read!!!! You will not regret it.
There is so much pain and hurt in this book for the three sisters that you can't help but feel their emotions and want to hurt whoever hurt them and keep them from hurting anyone else that way.
What these girls go through throughout this book is more than anyone should have to endure. Willow is a stong willed woman and she is hands down a force to recon with and when she is met with several major triggers of her own to deal with she handles it.
Her life is a series of twists but one constant is her protector/best friend Bruce.
She has two soul mates that don't know what they are in for. She is definitely not your normal Omega. When they meet her they try to treat her the same way most alphas treat omegas, Willow lets them know right quick she isn't afraid to speak her mind and will not let them bully her into anything she doesn't wantto do. If they think they are going to there is the door.
When things start happening to people and places around Willow her "soul mates", the ones that are supposed to love unconditionally and believe in her without question really mess up and listen to the "brotherhood" more than their mate. Will that cause their downfall or will they pull their head out of their behinds before it is too late?
You will have to read the book and find out.
This book is amazingly written.
