Some memories haunt. Others hunt. They say time heals all wounds. That memories fade. That the past loosens its grip.
His Neverland? Doesn’t believe that.
Here, echoes linger. They sharpen. They wait. And at last, they demand to be heard.
NEVERLAND IS A RECKONING. THIS IS NEVERLORE.
The seasons have shifted, and the past is no longer content to sleep. Ghosts roam freely, truths surface like frostbite, and Neverland has teeth In Neverlore, Peter’s nightmares speak through Spirits—unbidden, deliberate, and relentless—forcing him to behold what he was, what he is, and what the truth demands of him now.
This chilling novella returns to the world of The Journals of Pan, where pride is a liability, fate is cruelly amused, and remembrance may be the most dangerous magic of all.
Neverlore if such a beautiful addition to the Journals of Pan series and I can see how it will be a crucial bridge moving forward! I love the progression of the story and how Mia blends her talent for poetry and fiction together. Her style is truly unmatched. I loved being in Peter’s POV for this whole book and learning more about him. After reading Neverlore, I am ecstatic to see how the story and world progress from here. ✨💚
I was privileged enough to be an ARC Reader for the Genius that is Miss Mia Battaglia the amazing author of I PREFER PETER & SON OF PAN and now NEVERLORE.
NEVERLORE....its at its root, Utterly Fantastical and my brain is short circuiting with every brilliant word...I love the nods to Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland, Hadestown, Beauty and the Beast and so many blinks to other epic classics. Im in awe of the language this stunning young woman uses ...she is a human thesaurus and her poet's soul shines through in every paragraph and I am mindblown in the best possible way. It's running the gambit of emotions in a ...Whimsical, Tragic, Miserable, Comical punch to the gut. The World she built in I Prefer Peter is a new favorite for me I love seeing Paragon in all it's various stages, gorgeous, to ruinous . I still find myself wanting to go there. If you've read the first two books and these characters haven't become a part of your soul ...aurgh...Peter, Maya, Crow Evangeline and FINNIS oh my darling Finn. IYKYK...lol Oh the lessons that are woven into the tapestry of this incredible story...WOW! Every person, place, story within this magickal, inventive repertoire that was created by this incredible, gifted, hysterically adorable goblin that is Mia Battaglia ...to put it simply...I am Entralled. Thank you Mia for being authenticly and unapologetically YOU! Thank you for this epic series and thank you for gifting me the incredible honor of being on your ARC team for Neverlore.
Mia you just keep raising the bar with your writing, story telling, characters, character growth and emotional depth. In Neverlore you really show that sometimes you have to loose yourself to really understand the choices you make in life have consequences that can’t be undone. The some circumstances could have been avoided completely if you just took a step back counted to ten, took a deep breath and thought things through. While other circumstances are beyond your control and you shouldn’t harbor guilt because it festers and becomes poison. That sometimes the best way to honor a friend or loved one is let them truly rest in peace once they’re gone and live the life they wanted you to have. You do so well at continuing the story by building from where the last part of the story left off. I really feel like we are going to see a a whole new Peter going forward. Peter went from believing that death was the greatest adventure that he hadn’t tired yet to wholeheartedly understanding that to Live Willingly is the best way to live. I am so insanely proud of you My friend. You were afraid to that writing a novella would be to difficult but you buckled down faced your fear and wrote one hauntingly beautiful novella for the ages. Congratulations Mia 🍾 I truly can’t wait to see what everyone one thinks of Neverlore. The Journals of Pan Series is definitely going to be a good tier series for me. I honestly can’t wait until your books get turned into movies because that’s where the deserve to be on the big screen. Love you my friend to the sun ☀️, the moon 🌙, the stars ✨, and back , and farther then that.
This novella is the best work I've read in over a decade. I. Do. Not. Cry. From books or movies. It takes PHENOMENAL writing to pull that from me and make me forget that I am reading fiction.
Mia's mind is beyond incredible and I am deeply honored to read her work.
10/10 would recommend anything by this amazing author. Check out her I Prefer Peter series and if you can, the audiobooks. Now, i am NOT an audiobook dragon. I want my physical or digital words for my eyes to read. However. I did immersive reads for both books 1 and 2 because I found out that she does all of the narration and voice acting herself!!!! You guys... IT IS SO GOOD!!!
I was completely honored to be an ARC reader for NEVERLORE, I loved everything about and the flow of the story. I’ve been with journals of pan since day one with I prefer Peter got announced and same with son of pan, I’m happy that I was apart of this journey and can continue to be apart of this journey. This entire series has been a 6 star god tier series for me and I’m grateful that I can read these books. I try not to do spoilers when giving my reviews but I will say it’s definitely worth every first read and re-read
Neverlore is the perfect bridge in the Journals of Pan series. You get to see Peter at his worst. Struggling with his life decisions and feeling the weight of the world through grief, guilt, and sadness. Peter sees how these have shaped his past, but also catches a glimpse of what love and forgiveness might mean for his future if he lets it. As a Peter Pan fanatic, I was hooked from the start and I can’t wait to see what awfully big adventure is next for the boy who can fly.
Loved this! This Peter Pan reimagining just keeps getting better and better! This is a super quick novella read. Peter Pan mixed with a Christmas Carol! I’m here for it! A great way to glimpse into some things that we may not have really seen in the first 2 books but also tie in some forgiveness and letting go if you will all while leading up to whats to come in book 4! Beautifully written and I need book 4 asap!
