I have sat on, edited and altered my review for this book for weeks. WEEKS. I went back and forth on deciding to post anything, and who knows if this will ever actually even be posted.. because at this point I just want to forget that this book ever happened to me. Yes. To me.
I was one of the first people if not the first person to finish this book. I was (no longer) a part of the authors content team, and so I got the ARC early, and finished later that same day. Start to finish, I read it in about 12 hours.
I want to start by saying that chapter 25/26 was triggering to me for more than one reason. When I brought this to the authors PAs attention, she passed on the message quickly, efficiently, and professionally. This was absolutely handled with care by her, and I am forever thankful to her for handling me and this situation with respect and professionalism.
Chapter 25/26 has 3/4 characters under the influence of drugs. Which already is a trigger for me however that WAS listed in the TWs and I knew about it beforehand. I decided to keep reading at that point. Where I had a problem here was with the Dub Con. That TW was not listed in the original version i received but has since been added along with an authors note explaining the entire scene. The issue I took here was actually not with Sawyer in this scene. Yes, she is under the influence of MDMA, and another unknown drug, but instead my heart hurt for Tytus. Repeatedly Ty says no, shakes his head, is uncomfortable with the situation, and completely caught off guard and unprepared for the situation he’s put in. There has been no prior consent or conversation about them having sex up to this point because none of these characters are in a relationship at this point in the book. They’re essentially still strangers, or enemies here. This man looks for reassurance from the other men in the scene who, instead of recognizing this for what it is.. (sexual assault imo) continue to basically force him into having sex with sawyer to “stop her from crying” because they can’t take it… what? Yes. They can’t handle hearing her cry and beg so they TELL Tytus to “just do it” repeatedly until he feels like he doesn’t have a choice. He repeatedly says he feels “trapped” and that he’s “not enough” when Mercer is later asked to join in (by sawyer) until finally giving his consent for Mercer to touch him.
(Note to add here.. minutes before all this happened Sawyer and Ty both suffer a severe panic attack where they’re screaming / crying and shutting down..)
Make no mistake. Men can ABSOLUTELY be victims of SA and I will defend this shit to my grave. We know this. We believe this. It’s 2026 for god sakes. I truly believe Tytus was unwilling to partake in this act (it was his first time with Sawyer) and everything in his body language and internal thoughts was telling me he was very uncomfortable.

With or without the TW added, this scene made me so uncomfortable. It was not at ALL how I wanted Sawyer and Tytus to finally come together and after buildup over 2.5 books, I was heartbroken to see their first time be reduced to nothing. Absolutely meaningless nothing. This scene did not need to be included and it added nothing to their story. And it wasn’t hot. It was exactly what it sounds like and made me uncomfortable.. in a really bad way.
On top of all of this, I didn’t believe in their HEA as a group. Tytus seemed to still have one foot out the door by the end of the book.. I didn’t believe that him or Sawyer even ever truly forgave Mercer (and I don’t feel like the author did either because the man didn’t even get an epilogue or a chance to fuck 😬) and I have no idea what their future looks like by the end.. no clue. Years down the road are they all living together? Kids? I’m left with more questions than answers with this one. I feel like there’s GOT to be another book right? How else could this possibly be the conclusion we’ve all been waiting for?
The saving grace here was the Daddy kink with Noah, although i felt like it was overdone.. I did enjoy it. Noah is an absolute sweetie and he deserves the world.. I just wish someone else got a chance to be with Sawyer because this man was inside her every chance he got.. and for a why choose the amount of group scenes was severely lacking..
Overall I was unfairly triggered by this book but I did manage to save others from being triggered as well and so I’ll take one for the team this time. Am I still upset by it? Yes. Will I be reading this author again? Probably not. Am I happy that my pain was able to help others? Absolutely. There is no world in which I will stand by and watch a female OR a male character be taken advantage of.. especially while under the influence. It’s never okay. It’s not sexy. And I’m so angry that it had to be this way.

Picking up where Almost Rotten left off, Tytus is taken to the hospital for treatment, leaving Sawyer to question her relationship and future with not just him, but Noah and Mercer as well.
Three was so much growth within these pages, for Ty in particular, but really all four of our main characters. Witnessing Ty mature, forgive, and lean on his found family was heartwarming in a way I didn’t expect.

I was so excited for this book and absolutely devoured it in just a couple days. I absolutely love Sawyer and I love all of her guys too. They are each so different, but they are also the perfect fit for each other. Noah and Mercer have such a deep rooted bond and friendship, its honestly beautiful to experience. I love the love that Tytus and Sawyer share for each other as life long friends first and lovers second. Tytus obviously doesn't have a great relationship with Noah and Mercer, but as the story goes on, there really take the time to learn about each other, build their own relationship as part of their dynamic, and find a way to fully support Sawyer together and be happy as a group. At the ending of book two, everyone was so broken, and I wasn't sure what would play out in this book, or how they could possible begin to repair things. This book was the ending I wanted and needed for them.
There's a deep connection to mental health and well being throughout the entire series and I love the focus on that. Abby does such a great job of showing the characters going through their own struggles, but also utilizing their supports to overcome their struggles and come out on the other side. I also greatly appreciate the clear focus on consent with any spicy moments throughout the book. I do strongly recommend checking your trigger warnings for this book before starting as there are some darker and more intense themes. Overall, their story was beautifully wrapped up and I love that they all finally got their happy ending.

I'm going to be honest, but I kinda hate read this book and overall series. This series frustrated me to no end and there was just so much trauma they all needed to get through.
Oh Tytus. I felt so so bad for him. I'm happy he's somewhat okay though. I really enjoyed his and Noah's dynamic. Noah was so nice and gentle with him.
It was really sad to see Sawyer spiraling and what almost happened at the party. That said, I'm glad the guys banded together and got her before it went too far.
She forgave Mercer way to easily. I was really annoyed about that. Also Mercer never actually apologized to Tytus for what he did at the end of book 2. WTF!?
I honestly don't think they work together as a group. Mercer and Tytus are just too hot headed and jealous. And Noah is just there with his trauma. I normally love why choose books, but this just didn't work for me. They all have too much trauma and are trauma bonding. Personally, I think she just needs to be alone.

I absolutely loved this series.
Mercer! Oh my god! I want him! he's so fucking great. And Noah my baby they're my favorites. I love them so much.
I'll always recommend this series to everyone. It's so cozy, with few dark elements. The mental rep was awesome.
The relationship between the characters the understanding between them was so perfect.
This series will always have a special place in my heart.

Okay. I’ve sat with this book for a bit and this review is going to pain me to write as a fan of this author for a while now. I’m not going to be giving a star rating because I did end up DNFing. This series started out with much potential, the ingredients were there for a great why choose with some darker, heavier elements that the author does so well. But by book 3, this missed the mark completely.
First of all, since the last series I’ve read enough of the “I don’t deserve them” trope. And we get that through the whole first half of this book. I am ok with the self deprecation from one character but 3…was a little much.
Now my most glaring issue, that I’m honestly appalled more people aren’t mentioning, is the truck scene. That scene is quite frankly (in my eyes) non-con for Tytus. Not dub con in relation to Sawyer…non-con for Tytus. I don’t care that he ends up saying “ok fine”. He as well is not sober here…let alone the FMC being potentially roofied. The updated content warnings do not reflect this.
It is shown through the entire series multiple times that this man will do anything for this FMC. He blatantly expressed he does not want to have s*x, multiple times. He looks for help to the other MMCs (One of which just put this character in the hospital…he’s going to go against him? I don’t think so) and essentially gets coerced to LOSE HIS VIRGINITY in front of two other men while the woman he loves is completely unable to consent or possibly even remember. Completely unacceptable. These are grown adults, one of which is a university professor…this scene made me so uncomfortable. I’m still just appalled weeks later at this choice of scene and will most likely be my last book by this author.

Read this if you like: It’s perfect for fans of age gap tension and why choose dynamics. Especially if you like it when all the men don't get along at first.
Fav trope: Why Choose / Redemption Arc
Fav character: Noah - Throughout the series, he has been the sweet and gentle brand of care and the glue holding them together. His unwavering love for Sawyer is the series' heart.
Fav part/scene: The moment Sawyer realizes she doesn't have to choose between them, that she can have Mercer's dominant attentiveness, Noah’s gentleness, and Tytus’s fierce possessiveness all at once.
Unique factor: The exploration of codependency and trauma bonding. Abby doesn’t shy away from how toxic their history is, making their eventual growth and healthy found family dynamic feel earned.
Unforgettable moment: The final resolution where Tytus finally drops his walls and the group makes a stand for their relationship, proving they are all-in despite the professional and social risks.
Didn’t like: The emotional damage! What a roller coaster!!
Recommend it? Yes. It is elite in dark, angsty romance with a perfect end for the trilogy.

If you’ve made it to this point in the series, you already know this is NOT going to be easy and this book fully delivers on the angst, tension, and emotional chaos. We’re dealing with three MMCs and one FMC, and when I tell you the dynamics are messy??? I mean messy messy.
Each of the guys brings something completely different...one is dominant and intense, one is softer and grounding, and one is possessive in a way that had me STRESSED—but together?? it’s this chaotic, emotionally charged situation where no one is fully right and everyone is hurting.
And the FMC.... she is going THROUGH IT. The internal conflict alone had me spiraling because she genuinely cares about all of them, but everything is breaking down around her and you can feel that weight the entire time. The whole “I refuse to choose so I’ll lose everything instead” energy.....devastating.

This book was the perfect end to the series! This book has trauma, healing, and bonding. Each character has been through something traumatic. At first they don’t get along but they are willing to work through it and try for the woman they love. I love all the characters and how much they grow and learn to help each other. They each go from feeling alone to finding the family they need to feel whole.
I didn’t think Abby could do it but she will definitely make you also love Tytus too. I can’t recommend this book and series enough!

Almost Ruined really said let’s keep the chaos coming—and I ate it up.
This series just keeps getting darker and more addictive. The MMC's? Completely unhinged, red flags everywhere, and yet I was still obsessed 🤭 Abby Millsaps knows exactly how to write these toxic, intense dynamics that you know are wrong but can’t stop reading.
The tension, the drama, the push and pull—it had me hooked the whole way through. At this point, I’m fully committed to the madness of this series and not even pretending I want out.

Picking up immediately from the cliffhanger from book two, we are transported into short chapters of each character not being by able to fully process what’s going on. I could not put this book down and finished it in one sitting.
Sawyer, is honestly one of my least favorite FMC, she was very sex focused, even at the detriment of her men healing from various injuries.
Noah, is an unsteady rock, and I don’t think he’s fully processed the loss of his family, especially living with their ghosts. We have Meg’s photos all around and the primary bedroom locked up for no one to go in. He’s trying, but his concern was Mercer and Sawyer’s well beings, not his own. You cannot love others without first loving yourself.
I would love to read about this cohort years later, as Tytus and Mercer have some issues with each other. I don’t foresee two jealous and possessive men working together in the long run.

I feel like this series had so much potential. The first two books had be so excited for the ending to their story. It just really fell flat. I found myself honestly skimming just to find out the ending.
There wasn’t really a conflict resolution to what happened in book 2. It was just glossed over and promptly forgotten. The scene that has triggered many didn’t trigger me per se. I do feel like it was very unnecessary and not a very good “first time” moment for Tytus and Sawyer. For them to have had such a close past and deep connection, it was reduced to the backseat of a truck where she was on drugs and he was clearly uncomfortable.
Overall I would say 2.5 stars from me. It was very disappointing in my opinion.

This series started so well. Then it got super toxic. Then in this book it jumped the shark. From a sketchy party scene and dub con in the car immediately following to the sudden change of heart and mind from Ty that he was suddenly immediately fine with everything? Come on. So unbelievable. Also every damn one of them needs therapy. Every damn one.

I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. I know you're suppose to savor it but I couldn't help myself. No regrets. After that traumatic ending of book 2, I didn't know how they were going to fix the broken pieces. You see everyone's trauma on display and how they come together to help heal each other 🥹 it is so easy to be around for the good times, but you find out who truly loves you when it comes to the soul wrenching bad times. This was probably the first time I've read about someone being hesitant in joining the RH, normally they don't need convincing. The group scenes were 🌶🌶🌶, Abby knows how to write a good time lol. I am hoping for a novella in the future. What happens after Sawyer graduates? I'd love to see how they work out Ty's professional hockey schedule. It was a very satisfying ending and worth the wait.

I hate to say, but this was a miss. A very rare miss from Abby. After the emotional ending of book two, I was all geared up for some serious remorse and groveling (FMC vowed to never forgive). Yeah, that lasted all of two weeks… and the guys too easily forgave each other too. All for “feelings”.
I kept reading, because I wanted to see how everything was wrapped up, but I was bored and struggled to finish.
It became very “touchy feely”. I felt like there was no plot. Just lots of feelings and broken people.

Taken a cliffhanger that rips your heart out and leaves you wondering how the hell there will ever be an HEA, and then goes and writes characters and a storyline that brings about an HEA and makes it believable. There were so many moments I was so sad for these characters. There were times I was fanning myself cause they're so hot. And there were times that I was literally laughing at the guys. The humor they would infuse into situations had me cracking up. Almost Ruined was everything I wanted out of the final book in this trilogy.

Almost ruined is the conclusion of the men of Evercrisp Orchard trilogy and we start immediately after the ending of book 2. It takes you on a journey for the characters and how they go from the situation that was all of book two to becoming a group.
I will be completely honest and say that I struggled a lot with this book. For me parts felt rushed and at the same time fell flat. I just wanted more out of the characters and resolving of everything that's been going down.
I have read boys of lake chapel by Abby which I absolutely lovedddd, those are my boys and I think about them constantly so I was very happy for a little nudge towards out favourite stats daddy.

this was the perfect way to end the Men of Evercrisp Orchard series! in Abby Millsaps fashion it was an intense rollercoaster of emotions and experiences but Sawyer and her men definitely get their hea!! like every other Abby book this one is a 10/10 recommend from me!

I really loved the first two books in this trilogy and was really excited for the final book to be released. So you can imagine that I’m also really sad to say I didn’t love this one.
The cliffhanger from book 2 was a big one, and it felt like as a group of characters, there would be a long road back to where they were. However, the first 25% felt a bit repetitive with no one actually talking to each other. Things started to evolve after that but I just didn’t like how it did.
Their relationships felt different to me and what I loved about them within their dynamic shifted too. I loved how resolute Tytus used to be around never sharing Sawyer, I loved how their history forged the deepest connection - but all of that felt lost in this book.

I loved this series so much, but this one fell a little short for me. It felt rushed, to me, and I think I just wanted more plot. This one was very spicy. Definitely loved how everything wrapped up and will be recommending this series for my why choose lovers.

I take back what I said about Tytus in the previous books. Not because trauma magically erases behavior, and not because PTSD gives someone a free pass to be possessive or emotionally closed off. It doesn’t. But understanding what he endured adds important context. His darker episodes, his need for control, and the way he spirals when he’s triggered, especially after Mercer locked him up, all make more sense once you see the depth of his childhood trauma. I’m not handing him automatic forgiveness, but it is possible to hold empathy and accountability at the same time. What really surprised me was how Mercer, Noah, and Tytus eventually came together. The snowstorm ended up being the best possible scenario for them. Forced proximity, shared routines, and no outside distractions forced them to actually exist together instead of orbiting Sawyer separately. They began learning each other’s rhythms and building a family rather than competing for space in her life.
Meanwhile, Sawyer was falling apart after what happened with Tytus. She shut down emotionally, isolated herself, and had almost no support system. What mattered was that Tytus, despite all his pride and control issues, called Noah. That moment was significant. Noah brought Mercer, and together they got Sawyer out of a genuinely dangerous situation. That was the first time it truly felt like “us” instead of three separate men competing for her. I did not love that Tytus and Sawyer’s first time happened in the back of a car while she was on Molly. That felt messy and chaotic. But narratively it pushed the dynamic forward and forced the sharing aspect of their relationship into the open. From that point on, the tone shifted. They started putting aside jealousy and ego for Sawyer’s safety and happiness. At the core of it, every decision circled back to the same goal: protect her, love her, and make sure she was safe.
This book dealt with some very heavy material. Mercer’s struggle with self-destructive thoughts and the guilt he carries for what he did to Tytus. Noah’s grief and lingering self-blame over his family, which explains why he’s so hypervigilant and always in provider mode. Tytus’s need for control and the complicated codependency between him and Sawyer that grew from their past. None of it was light, but it felt necessary. Growth required discomfort. What worked especially well was how they pushed their own boundaries with each other. Mercer allowed himself to step back and let Tytus lead parts of the dynamic, which gave Tytus the sense of control he needed to feel secure instead of threatened. Then there was the moment when Tytus instinctively protected Mercer after he fell through the roof and injured his arm. There was no hesitation. He stepped in because he didn’t want Mercer to be alone. That shift was important.
The bond between Noah and Tytus ended up being surprisingly tender as well. Noah’s steady and protective nature gave Tytus a kind of stability he likely never had growing up. Meanwhile, Mercer and Tytus thrived on their constant banter, those meaningless arguments that were really just a way of building trust. The contrast between all three of them worked well. I genuinely wanted more quiet moments. More domestic scenes. In the first book, the story felt heavily focused on Tytus. Then the second leaned more toward Mercer and Sawyer, with Noah gradually folding into the relationship. But in this book they were finally choosing each other intentionally. Not just for Sawyer, but as a unit.
What made it even stronger was the attention given to therapy, mental health, communication, and managing emotional breakdowns. Noah and Mercer in particular were emotionally equipped to handle spirals when they happened. The way consent and safe words were handled was also thoughtful, especially since Mercer and Sawyer had more experience with kink and guided the others while still checking boundaries constantly. That groundwork matters in a dynamic like this. Atty ended up being less central than expected. It was surprising that her twin brother was more disturbed by the idea of Sawyer being with multiple men than by her being with Tytus specifically, especially since he had been such a major obstacle before. It makes you wonder how much chaos could have been avoided if Tytus had just admitted his feelings earlier. But without that delay, we would not have gotten the blackmail situation, the impulsive “wife” claim, or the slow unraveling that forced everyone to confront their feelings.

It makes you wonder how much chaos could have been avoided if Tytus had just admitted his feelings earlier. But without that delay, we would not have gotten the blackmail situation, the impulsive “wife” claim, or the slow unraveling that forced everyone to confront their feelings.

Rating: Loved it
That cliffy in book two left me wrecked. Heart completely shredded. This installment picked up every piece and put me back together.
I won’t lie, after book two, my heart shattered for Ty, but I didn’t know if I could forgive him. I wasn’t sure he could come back from it, but Abby absolutely knew what she was doing. Watching Ty put in the work and become exactly what Sawyer needed made me fall for him harder than I expected.
Noah truly had the next best arc. Seeing him finally release the guilt he’s been carrying and allow himself to be seen at his worst, not just his best, was powerful. Sawyer shows him how inherently good and lovable he is, even when he can’t see it himself.
Mercer’s journey might have been the most quietly devastating. Watching him battle his old demons, fight to stay steady, and take accountability for what he did, even when it costs him, was incredibly impactful. The way he owns his mistakes instead of running from them is something a lot of people could learn from.
Sawyer’s healing is deeply intertwined with all three men. As she helps each of them confront their pain, she learns she deserves love just as much as they do. Each relationship brings out a different side of her. Pieces that only fully make sense when they’re all together.
I was initially unsure about the dynamic between the men. I’m used to Why Choose where the boyfriends are also boyfriends, and that’s not the case here. But their bond forged in respect, emotional connection, and genuine care, ended up feeling just as meaningful.
There’s significant mental health representation in this book (please check content warnings), and I thought it was handled thoughtfully and with care.
While I wouldn’t have complained about one more book (especially with a bit more time spent on Sawyer’s brother) this was a deeply satisfying ending. And I’m already missing them.

What a way to end an amazing series. Noah, Mercer, Tytus and Sawyer really went through it in this series and each of them showed such vulnerability and fear but also protected those they love and care about.
I ended the last book feeling a lot of things about Tytus’ character and I wasn’t sure if he could redeem himself for me but I loved him in this book. Tytus really stepped up where he needed to and I love the connections he made with both Noah and Mercer.
Noah and Mercer always had such a strong connection but I liked how this was shown in this book and the space they made for their new dynamic. This book takes place over a relatively short space of time and in only a few locations, I really liked that aspect and felt we were able to dive further into the relationships being created rather than focus on outside elements.
Sawyer is such a strong woman and the way she cares for her men and allows them to care for her was lovely to see, even when she was doubting herself and falling back into destructive previous behaviours.
The side characters were really good in this series and I really liked their involvement in this book. Cam and Bryant especially showed what a strong and supporting friendship group looks like.
I really liked the way Abby brought consent into the spice in this book and the thought and consideration that, I imagine, goes into a relationship with more than two people, was done.
This series does have some heavy themes and in particular this book does discuss some hard topics so make sure you read the trigger warnings. On saying that, Abby, as always deals with these sensitively and with compassion.

I was SO anxious for this book. Abby left us in complete despair after the ending of Almost Rotten!!
Here, we see every character at their most vulnerable.
We witness their darkest side, the self-destruction, that corner of the mind where they let themselves drown because they truly believe that’s what they deserve… loneliness, suffering, being unloved...
While fighting their own demons, they help each other crawl out of that dark place called guilt.
And slowly, they begin to realize that maybe there is hope for them too. Maybe there’s still a light...
This is such a beautiful found family 🥹
I was rooting for them the entire time...
I loved watching each of them grow...the compassion, the devotion they have for one another, and even more for the woman the three men share ❤️
I really loved Tytus 🖤
Even though he joins this dynamic later on, he does everything he can to see Sawyer happy...

The wait for this book was so worth it! OBSESSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! ❤️
After 2 brutal cliffhangers, we finally have an epic happily ever after for Sawyer and her men. Let me tell you, it was beyond perfect.
Despite all the pain and heartache in the first 40%, the rest of the book is filled with so much cosiness. I loved how Noah, Mercer and Ty came together for Sawyer’s sake. They all love her in their own way and it was beautiful to see them all open up and realise that what they have is a one of a kind type of love. The bond between the guys is so sweet, I love how they all learn to adapt to being with each other for Sawyer.
The trauma that they’ve all endured in the past was heartbreaking. It made their connection that much more special. Knowing what they’ve all been through but are now able to trust each other and form that relationship with Sawyer *PERFECTION*.
The growth from Mercer and Ty was really good, they’ve both done some fucked up shit thinking it was the right thing for Sawyer. To see them realise how badly they messed up and make a conscious effort to change and truly be worthy of Sawyer, ahh it made me so emotional.
Noah is just a fucking sweetheart and can do nothing wrong. I’m so obsessed with him. Every time Noah calls Sawyer ‘Honey’ I just melted inside. He truly deserves the world and I’m so glad he got his girl but also his brothers with Mercer and Ty.
I went through all the emotions in this book and I am left with nothing but love. My heart feels so full after finishing this book. Abby your writing is so addictive. Thank you for letting me fall in love with these characters.

The men of Evercrisp series has officially come to an end, and it’s everything you hoped for- plus more!
I’ve been waiting for the final book am I can honestly say the conclusion did not disappoint. The story picks up immediately where book two left off and wastes no time diving back in. It starts with a bang and keeps that momentum the entire way through. I honestly devoured this book in a couple days because it was so good!!
One of my favorite parts of this book was watching the guys truly open up, and not just with Sawyer but with each other. Seeing them become more comfortable, more vulnerable, and more trusting was so satisfying. They put aside their differences for Sawyer, but what made it special was how genuine it felt. The trust they built wasn’t instant, you could feel it growing and becoming something more solid.
I also loved how distinct each of the guys is. They’re all so different, yet each one things something unique to their relationship with Sawyer and the relationship as a whole. Those differences didn’t divide them, but elevated the dynamic they had. And let’s talk about the spice… because it was spicing!! You might want to a glass of cold water nearby because these scenes are hot 🥵.
The book also explores some heavier topics, but they’re handled thoughtfully and with care. I especially appreciated how much communication there was between all four of them. The emotional maturity and honestly is what truly makes their relationship work, and makes this finale feel so satisfying!
