There's a new resident at the Magical Animal Adoption Agency-but this one hasn't hatched yet. Mr. Jams brought home a mysterious egg from his last journey, and Clover can't wait to find out what kind of creature it contains! So, with Mr. Jams away on Agency business, Clover spends extra time caring for the egg.
One morning, Clover finds that the egg has hatched overnight, and the baby animal is nowhere to be seen! With Dipity, the Agency's green kitten, by her side, Clover hunts for the little magical animal. But the Agency has many visitors, and she has to match them with their perfect pets, too. Will Clover be able to save the mysterious magical animal before Mr. Jams returns from his trip?

In the second book in Kallie George's delightful illustrated chapter book series, Clover meets a jovial pair of giants, a cupcake-baking ghost, a colorful young leprechaun, and a very special magical animal; one that must be seen to be believed!

Well, I certainly hope there will be more books in this children's fantasy series! I simply adore Clover and the magical animals, not to mention her new friends, the garden gnome, the giants, Leonard the Leprechaun and his daughter, Lulu!! My daughter would have LOVED this series when she was a little girl!!!

Another super cute novel, just like the first. Clover is a kind and warm-hearted middle grade heroine who takes her responsibilities seriously. I struggle with the whiny, bratty (accurate) heroes of some younger books but have made it through both of these without a single eye-roll. These books do read fairly young but they're enjoyable, especially for the aspect of seeing who gets matched with which magical animal. I think there's only one more book in this series so far but I truly do hope more are written.

What an adorable book. I loved reading this even though I'm an adult reading it for myself. If my children were still small, I'd gladly read it to them each night.

The second book in the series of The Magical Animal Adoption Agency is The Enchanted Egg, which was just as sweet as the first one.

Clover (our main protagonist) is making her own luck again! She is adopting out animals (magical one's!) and even gets to make new friends on the way. Very sweet and cute story.

An ihm kommt so leicht keiner vorbei.

Cover:

Cute story. Clover, the main character, is very sweet, works hard, and has a caring heart. No sass, or attitude, which is nice. The magical creatures are really fun, and my daughters (6 and 4.5) really love how Clover matches them up with new homes.

The only problem I have had with this and the previous book is the fact that the point is made strongly by the adult owner of the agency that the agency is a big secret (fine), "and you can't tell this secret to anyone, not even to your parents." I'd be fine with it just being a big secret that you can't tell anyone, but the fact that the author explicitly tells "don't tell your parents," is tricky to explain when most parents are teaching their children never to keep a secret from their parents, especially if it's an adult telling you to keep the secret.

That said, it's sparked conversations about our family's expectations. We'll still read the subsequent books because the stories are sweet, but I'm glad we read this aloud together so we could have this conversation.

Clover is thrilled to have a summer job at the Magical Animal Adoption Agency, but things take a turn for the strange when a mysterious egg comes to the Agency. Mr. Jams, her boss, leaves to get a magical animal expert to see if they can find out what kind of creature is inside the egg. But when sparkles get all over, magical kittens cause chaos, and the egg hatches seemingly without a creature inside, will Clover handle herself and the animals at the Agency?

I enjoyed this book a lot! The illustrations are soooo cute! I love the writing style and detailed descriptions!
My favorite character is Lulu - I just think that she is so sweet! The Enchanted Egg is the perfect sequel to this sweet series!

We return to the Magical Animal Adoption Agency in this sequel and this time Clover must care for a mysterious egg that could hatch at any moment! Mr. Jams speeds off to find a magical egg expert and in the meantime, Clover must take care of the agency and the mysterious creature!

This is a very cute series filled with magical and mythical creatures such as unicorns, dragons, and hippogriffs, but also invisible puppies and magical kittens! The content is very innocent, with friendly characters that have easy-to-fix needs and problems.

I've been reading this trilogy to my six-year-old and she loves it so far!

Book two was not quite as interesting as the first, I think. I enjoyed both the magical creatures and the additions to the fantasy characters in this one. The child main character gets into bigger scrapes and danger and has to solve the mysterious happenings and manage the shop on her own—a fact which some readers were uneasy with in the first book. All in all, a good series for kids of this age. Certainly contains fun fantasy elements and although the main character is a girl, it could easily be enjoyed by all kinds of kids.

Clover is back in the second book in the Magical Animal Adoption Agency series. Once again Mr Jams has to leave on a special trip, and he puts Clover in charge of the agency and a very special egg. One morning Clover comes in to find that the egg has hatched, but she can't find the magical animal that came from it! What will she do?

I was pleasantly surprised how long it took to reveal what the missing magical animal was without it being too annoying, and the mystery solving was well-done and clever without me thinking "where are this child's parents?" The level of danger is perfect for kids aged 6-10, my daughter enjoyed this very much, though she liked the sassiness of Maggie Sparks a tiny bit more.

This second book did not disappoint. My girls kept asking for more and I found myself caught up in the story as well. It was creative, enchanting, fun, and had great plot twists and end of chapter cliffhangers that kept you wanting to read more.
