So true

This brought good memories of a distant past with me and my search. Dog Nikki. One thing I have never forgotten about her. I was talking on the phone one evening and I didn't realize it but Nikki was listening to me. We were. Talking about books we were reading. I noticed she left the room. No big deal I thought. The thing I see is Nikki bring a book to me. It was the book I was reading at the time., it was a giant paper back but she was able to get into her mouth. She brought it right to my hands. I guess she understood. I was talking about the one I was reading now?.she could barely get it in Her mouth. She had never brought things to me like that before. We had only been training for about 3 weeks. Bluw my miNd. That was the beginning of a long enjoyable working years.

I’ve always been a crybaby!

I stayed up too late last night because I had to know what happened next, but I just couldn’t keep reading to the end of the search. I was very impressed with how Stella kept herself safe. Loved how she remembered what her Daddy had taught her.
I was my mom’s eighth child after a ten year break she had thought she was finished but then the “opps” was on the way, she cried the entire time she was pregnant with me thus I was a crybaby. But I had reason to cry over Kira getting older and retiring! And it’s not over yet! Just waiting on the next release. I tried very hard not to read the last two books yet, but I couldn’t hold off, I couldn’t wait! Now I have to… wait!!! Life is not! Thank you for the excellent reads!

I have read the whole series by Sophie, I trained dogs and this fits right in my love interest. The last book I think it was my favorite, even though it made me cry and laugh, the fact that Gemma found her home and a new life in the little town was wonderful. I cannot speak enough, about Kira and Gemma’s relationship. When you work with dogs as closely she does through the books, you understand her love for them and the pain of seeing your dog grow old, but I will read more of her books as she gets them out and I hope they all include dogs laugh out loud. Thank you, Sophie for your talent and your love of these beautiful creatures.

She's not in her sleeping bag!! Gripping!!

The cry goes out! Everyone in the campground is looking for a 7 yo little girl. SAR is called out. Gemma, 8 1\2 months pregnant, is in the command tent with Kira. Kate and Scout are lead search and rescue team. The lost 7 years happens to pass a murder and starts running with the murderer right behind her. After 15 hours SAR and Scout found the frightened child. After waiting for the child Scout was able to get her to come out of hiding. Great job. Thank you.

Gemma and Kira...new season

Fabulously written to wrench emotions to the surface. Gemma and Kira settling into new roles. Other characters keep the town feeling like home, real and vibrant. Murder, a child, fear, real scenes and real team work, proving that groups can work together for the greater good. Many tears because of all the emotional responses to a well told story that right gs true... it hurts to know Kira is at the end of her life, as Gemma's baby begins his. The story deepens and is satisfying...

K-9 Search and Rescue #10

The stories of Kira and Gemma rescuing are coming to an end with this novel. Lyon does continue with the development of the characters so readers know family and friend and what changes have occurred. It's a wonderful series . I plan to read it until the final book #14. Excellent stories that are well written.

next steps

I generally like the books and their story, but after 10 books some the repetition is getting old, like word count, but if you just read one or two books you may not notice it. I am reading them back to back to back, newly retired and reading-a lot
I will continue as the story does pull at me.. will Marco ever hold the baby?

I am going blind.

A prolific reader for 74 years, I did. Not have to be as selective. I had plenty of time, i believed
this was one of my first of the last day series. I'm so glad I did!

Happy Moments

Kate and Scout take over on a search for a small child. Gemma and Kira have their own things to do. If you can read this story without tears in your eyes, you are a Moe callous person than I.

Longest day

This is the book I couldn't put down. I felt the suspense of what the parents were going through having their six-year-old missing on their first camping trip.
