Trapped in downtown Lancaster with only her rooftop garden and instincts to rely on, she realizes the real danger isn’t the darkness.
Small town apocalypse, ends in barter and cooperation.
A young woman with a small bakery & two friends shelters against her ex who tries to dictate the town. He and his goons rule with fear & intimidation. After he demands her assets, resources & her home she fights back. A barter system has better chances for survival with a hope for peace...for now.
I liked the overall storyline and parts of this book were well written, but others were poorly edited, awkwardly worded, and at times seemed almost AI generated. The potential was there, but the execution needed improvement.
Was a great book about 1 man trying to control everyone and everything his way. His ex and some friends stood their ground and did fine without his demands.
