Do you believe in fate? I didn’t.

So tell me. Was it fate? Or just a coincidence that went too far?

Alex

She calls it coincidence.

I call it inevitable.

And I don’t let go of what’s placed in my hands.

This book felt like destiny slowly unfolding in the most chaotic and beautiful way possible. The masquerade party once again proved that these parties never happen “just like that” — they always change lives, and this time it brought Alex and Silver together. It genuinely felt like the universe had been planning their paths all along.

What I loved most was the way they became each other’s safe place. The loyalty, the protectiveness, the “I’ve got your back no matter what” energy made the emotional moments hit even harder. It had that classic good vs bad tension, but with so much heart underneath it.

And honestly, the story had everything — drama, romance, family bonds, danger, emotional healing, the adorable pet moments, the child, and a slow burn that actually felt worth the wait. Watching them slowly find not just love, but a family and a sense of belonging, was such a satisfying journey.

Overall, a really enjoyable read and a good treat for romance lovers who enjoy emotional connection mixed with drama and suspenses

ARC REVIEW:

This book feels emotionally comforting in the best way possible iykyk ✨✨. It doesn’t rush the romance or the healing process of the characters, which makes Silver and Alex’s relationship feel genuine and comforting , sometimes I could connect with silver goddd I wish I could hug that girl 🫂✨. Alex is the type of male character whose quiet actions speak louder than words can ever, and Silver’s journey makes you root for her from beginning to end. The emotional depth combined with the warmth of the side characters gives the story a balance that keeps it engaging throughout which kept me at the edge of my seat to know what will happen next 😭🤞. The found-family aspect is what truly makes the book because every character adds something meaningful to the story. By the end, the characters teach you more than what life throws at you ....😭✨ they feel like people you’ve grown attached to. It’s the kind of book that slowly pulls you in and refuses to let go

So what are you waiting for ??? Go grab it and read ...you will not be disappointed ✨🤞

Not every story pulls you in instantly… some take their time, slowly building, layer by layer, until you realize you’re completely invested.

Twisted Fate: Crimson Ashes felt exactly like that.

At the heart of it are Silver and Alex—two people shaped by their pasts in very different ways, yet somehow drawn toward each other in a way that doesn’t feel accidental. Silver carries a quiet strength that comes from everything she’s endured, while Alex remains calm, steady, and grounding in a way that balances her.

What made this stand out for me was how nothing felt rushed. Their connection develops slowly, naturally, without forcing moments or emotions—making every interaction feel more meaningful.

There’s tension, there’s softness, and that constant push and pull where they’re both trying to hold on and let go at the same time. And you feel that throughout.

But it’s not just about them. The presence of the side characters adds so much warmth, especially the sense of found family that grows along the way. It brings comfort to the story, even with its heavier undertones.

The quieter moments stayed with me the most. The ones where nothing major is happening, yet everything feels important. The healing, the trust, the feeling of being seen—it all comes through so naturally.

It’s not loud. It’s not dramatic. But it lingers.

By the end, this didn’t feel like just a love story. It felt like a journey of healing, connection, and slowly finding a place where you belong.

And that’s what stayed with me. ✨

This story is the kind that sneaks up on you soft at first then suddenly full of emotion you didn't realize you'd been holding back. At its core it follows Silver, a girl who has spent most of her life surviving in silence and Alex, the quiet- steady force who chooses her long before she learns to choose herself.

What makes this book unforgettable isn't just the romance though the slow burn is beautifully done but the way it builds a world where found family feels like a lifeline. Characters like Rafail, Anika, Zephyr, Xander and the rest of the chaotic, fiercely loyal group bring warmth and a sense of belonging that wraps around you like a blanket.

The writing shines most in the small moments: a birthday that finally feels like home, a cottage by the river, a studio built out of love, a tarot reading that mirrors a life transformed. The story balances softness and tension so well-danger in the past, peace in the present and hope threaded through every chapter.

It's about healing, about being seen and about the quiet ways love can rebuild a life and without spoiling anything I'll just say this> the ending feels exactly right - earned, tender and deeply satisfying.
If you love:

*slow-burn romance
*protective but gentle men
*found family
*emotional healing arcs
*atmospheric writing
And in the end, it's the love, the loyalty and the slow-burn pull between them that keeps replaying in your mind.

Honestly… I’m still a mess after finishing this. Mystra M has this way of writing where you literally feel every single thing the characters are going through. Silver has been through absolute hell and you can just feel that weight in the story. It actually broke my heart watching her try to heal.

I’ve been intrigued by Alex since Book 1, and seeing his character growth in this one was everything. He acts so cold and calculated, the ultimate tough guy, but he is such a total softie for Silver it’s actually embarrassing lol. The way he chooses her over and over again?🤌✨

Major spoiler ahead so skip if you haven't finished!! ⚠️

The two epilogues were such a treat, I love when an author gives us that extra bit of closure. But now I’m just spiraling because I know it’s going to be Xander and Riya’s story next and I am NOT prepared. I already miss these characters so much.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

(Literally go read Veiled Vows, Crimson Kisses first if you haven't so you get the full experience, you won't regret it!)

For me the beginning was kind of slow but once I got deeper into the book, I was really absorbed in both Silver and Alex’s stories and the emotions that they both had carried with them for so long before they found each other as a way of providing support was touching.

I loved Silver as she felt soft and real to me. She had spent most of her life just trying to get by. I felt a rush of emotions watching Silver developing trust, allowing people "HIM" and finally feeling safe. Alex is so grounded and steady the kind of hero I enjoy reading about. He is calm, protective, patient and quietly caring in a way that made my heart ache a little.

One of my favourite things about the development of Silver and Alex's relationship was the way in which it evolved so naturally it never felt forced. Their relationship evolved through all of the small details and moments which made it meaningful. I just completely loved how Alex was constantly and consistently present for Silver.

The supporting characters Xander, Anika, Rafail and the others added much warmth, belonging and chaos to the story. The story isn't only on Silver and Alex, every character brought added depth to it.

Some scenes genuinely played in my mind like a movie while reading. NGL I got a little emotional for the characters.

Started reading this book with almost no idea what's it about and what's going to happen. It was a slow read at first for me but the curiosity of what is happening kept me going. So yeah this one's one of those types that slowly pulls you in and the next moment you're way to invested in Silver and Alex's story.

The book cover! The characters and their story arc! The plot! Everything's chef's kiss💗✨

Alex and Silver are two very different people with different backgrounds and struggles and yet there's this pull between them from their very first meeting.

This book even though it's Alex and Silver's story, it's not just that. Somehow it is more with the presence of the wonderful side characters, the plot that makes you want to read as quickly as possible as you can't wait to know what's happening.

One of the best things I loved about the book other than Silver & Alex's beautiful connection is the found family. It's chaotic in the fun way and they bring so much warmth and comfort to the story.

Overall, you know how you read one book by an author and you enjoy reading it so much, now you can't wait to read everything they have written or will write in future! Well I'm definitely totally invested ❤️

This is one of those stories that quietly pulls you in before you even realize it. Twisted Fate Crimson Ashes starts off simple, but suddenly you’re fully invested in Silver and Alex.

Both of them carry so much without saying it out loud. Silver’s strength is quiet, and Alex has this calm, grounding presence that just fits. Their connection builds slowly through small moments, and the slow burn really hits, you can feel the tension, the softness & that constant pull of wanting more but holding back.

The found family aspect is what truly makes this book stand out. The side characters bring warmth, a little chaos & a sense of comfort that balances the heavier moments so well. The way emotions, healing, and self-acceptance are woven into these parts feels so natural that it never comes across as forced.

If you love slow-burn romance with quiet emotions, healing, and found family that feels like home, this book will stay with you long after you’ve finished it.

Finally I finished Twisted Fate Crimson Ashes and it's a kind of story that slowly pulls you in before you realised . The story follows Silver who suffered a lot from her childhood 😭 she never believed in fate until she met Alex . Alex is a calm , quiet and steady who choose her when she didn't choose herself. Their connection builds slowly and the slow burn was beautifully written.

What i loved the in the book apart from the chemistry of Alex and Silver is the side characters ( Rafail, Anika , Xander ) added the warmth , chaos and balance the heavier moments as well .And luna is my favourite.

The found family makes this book stands out ! And if you are someone who loves found family, Slow burn , healing and the family that feels like home it's for you.

Overall I enjoyed reading this book it keeped me hooked from the start to end . The ending couldn't have been better . Now I want the third book .

Some stories don’t just break your heart… they burn it to ashes.
Twisted Fate: Crimson Ashes is raw, haunting, and dangerously addictive.
From the very first page, it pulls you into a world where love isn’t soft — it’s consuming, destructive, and impossible to escape. Mystra doesn’t just write characters — she unleashes them.
Flawed, intense, and painfully real. Every emotion feels sharper, every betrayal cuts deeper, and every moment lingers long after you’ve turned the page. This isn’t just a story about love. It’s about obsession, fate, and the price of choices you can’t undo.
If you’re ready for something dark, powerful, and emotionally wrecking… this book will own you. And trust me you won’t come out the same. 🔥

Silver and Alex are playing a game where the price of losing is death and the price of falling in love might be even higher.

It’s the perfect mix of a high-stakes thriller and a dark romance that feels incredibly raw. From the sharp banter and that iconic nickname "Little Stealer" to the heavy tension in every room they share their push and pull dynamic is the heartbeat of the book.

They’ve both been surviving worlds filled with family secrets and shady motives, which makes their connection feel earned rather than forced.

If you’re into stories where the stakes are high, the secrets are deep, and the chemistry is magnetic, you need to read this.

Twisted Fate: Crimson Ashes was such an emotional rollercoaster. I loved the dark atmosphere, the tension between the characters, and all the betrayal and revenge woven into the story. The romance was intense and full of angst, which made the characters feel messy and real. The plot had enough twists to keep me invested, and I kept wanting to know what would happen next. If you enjoy morally grey characters, emotional drama, and dark romance with high stakes, this book is definitely worth reading.
