**After how much I loved the first three novellas in this series, I think it's fair to say this one was... good. Just not great.**

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it.

The premise had so much potential. The idea of sending the characters on a quest immediately hooked me, and for the first few chapters I genuinely thought this was going to become my favorite of the series.

Unfortunately, it all wrapped up a little too quickly.

The adventure, the conflict, even the FMC's trust issues... everything seemed to resolve much faster than I expected, which made the emotional payoff feel a little less satisfying than it could have been.

And I think that's what I was missing.

Not necessarily more pages.

Just... a little more time.

More tension.

More development.

More space for the story to breathe.

That being said, it's still a fun, entertaining read. It flows well, the novella format continues to work for this world, and Laetitia somehow always manages to make these books feel cozy, even when monsters are involved.

So while this one didn't quite reach the level of the first three for me...

I'm still here.

And, of course...

I'm still here for the Virgo.

🇵🇹

A premissa tinha imenso potencial.

E, claro...

Continuo aqui pelos Virgos.

4.5/5 Stars!!

Characters: 10/10
Storyline: 9/10

It's like each new installment in the series is better than the last. I was so sure Cancer would be my all-time favorite from this series, but I was proven wrong with this book. I loved the introduction of Luna in the last book because she gave off such diva vibes, but to learn just how much depth there is to her character is amazing. Sylo being a switch was NOT what I was expecting at all, and I was pleasantly surprised with how their relationship progressed as the novella went on. (I desperately need a man like Sylo because I was melting reading some of the stuff he was saying) Luna is so funny in the most unironical sense, like when she was like "I hope this doesn't make me a furry" when she realized she enjoyed the sexual attention Sylo gave her had me dying. My only complaint is that I wish we could've gotten to see at least Luna's reaction to Sylo sending his sister to get revenge for her or her being there to witness it due to the betrayal being such an integral part of her character. Other than that, though, this book was so good, I devoured it in one sitting, and it just goes perfectly with the rest of the series.

I’m enjoying the series still. Love a venomous bite that turns on the ovulating horny hormones. Just quick easy reads with some alien/monster fun.
