It's Only Love

Rate this book
Victor Matthews was too young to know what his grandfather meant when he said that sometimes loving a woman is hurt and disappointment, but it stuck with him. Maybe because for Victor it turned out to be true. That’s when he saw her. Poise, elegance, and grace; she was absolutely phenomenal. And when their eyes connected, he felt something powerful between them. And when their eyes met, and the intensity of the look they shared, Victor knew that she felt it too. Only she was with her man. Natasha Edwards was moved when she saw Victor. The way he looked at her made her think about things that a woman in a committed relationship shouldn’t be thinking about. She was involved with Lloyd, a very successful man who enjoyed the fact she was beautiful, smart, more than willing to satisfy his every sexual desire, and able to talk to his peers when they went out. He was more concerned with Natasha looking the part, and fit the role of his woman, but Lloyd couldn’t appreciate her for who she really was. Convinced that in time her relationship with Lloyd will get better, Natasha resolved herself to the fact that she was taken, so thoughts of Victor should be not on her mind. But fate steps in and they meet again and despite the heavy vibe between them, she denies it and tries her best to rid herself of thoughts of Victor. Unable to accept that he can’t have her, Victor retreats to the only position available to him. “I would at least like to be your friend.” For now.

Great book so far. Victor is a wonderful patient guy. He put his heroin there I just hope that she doesn't hurt him. Natasha, well I'm still on the fence about her.

Book Description...

"Victor Matthews was too young to know what his grandfather meant when he said that sometimes loving a woman is hurt and disappointment, but it stuck with him.
Only problem: she was with her man.
Natasha Edwards was moved when she saw Victor. The way he looked at her made her think about things that a woman in a committed relationship shouldn’t be thinking about. "It's Only Love" by Roy Glenn

What I like about this read...

I will say I had to stop and go back to the beginning at the title to make sure I was reading this author's novel. I will say this was different read for me by this author (I am so used to reading this author's Mike Blacks series). This was a real romance genre and I loved it! I truly loved how this author presented both of these two characters....Victor and Natasha coming together. I loved how they called it 'friendship' due to the fact one was involved, however their will be a attraction from from the beginning ....going to the shows together, phone calls and one meeting a family to dinners that the reader will see how this will all come about. Will this relationship grow into love? Well, this is where I will stop here and say you will have to pick up "It's Only Love" to see how this author will bring it all together giving the reader in the end a good read and will have you wanting more in the next novel.

This is a little different from what we are used to seeing from this author, but you will still get a great book.

I liked how this story had a family dynamic and the closeness of the siblings, Victor, Rhonda and Stevie.  Victor had no intention
of having a real committed relationship, didn’t think it was in the cards for him.  That all changed when he attended his cousin’s
wedding and once he spotted Natasha, all he could think about was meeting her.  The attraction was immediate for both of them,
with one road block, Natasha was already attached to someone else.

Natasha, before laying eyes on Victor, was content to be in their relationship with Lloyd.  Deep in her gut, she knew he wasn’t
her soulmate.  As the story goes on you begin to find out the reason she feels this way, Lloyd didn’t allow her to be herself and
more like arm candy to fit his needs.

When Victor and Natasha unexpectedly meet at the movies and talk, they find they have so much in common.  Victor, excepting
that she is in a relationship, he is willing to take friendship instead of nothing at all.

It will be worthwhile to pick up this short story, to find out how it all ends up.  The author has promised more on these characters.

Being a hopeful romantic, this book kept me turning each page. When Victor went to his cousin's wedding, he wasn't expecting what happened. Natasha was at her friend's wedding with her man, however "the man" is who she sees from afar. She couldn't put her finger on it, but she knew he was different from anyone she had ever met. Victor knew even if she had a man, he would make her his.

This novel holds all the right elements that could end up with heart break and pain for a few people. However, this tale is told with honesty that will reveal things any person may encounter when take a chance on something new. Vanessa and Paul are too funny but represent alot of people we all know...Thank you Mr. Glenn for a great journey from different points of view from your key players...On to "With You"..I need the more with Victor and Natasha

The beginning

This is the authors first romance and it's a good start. What I like are the possibilities , there is room for growth in the story telling. I feel the author should tell his stories from the male point of view, because the men are who I felt he wrote the best. I understood them more , liked who he was ,I really could relate . I'm not sure about the women , they came across as cold, even though I was supposed to like Natasha I'm not sure I did. I believe it's the way she was written, this author writes men I really like,so the male point of view storyline makes sense to me. I get to last page and this is a beginning of a love story , it's a good beginning so I will be reading the next book.

Best love story I've read in sometime and from an author not known for writing love stories and he literally killed it the first time around. Totally drawn into the love at first sight the moment Victor's eyes connected with Natasha across the crowded room and seeing friendship turned into a beautiful romance. Loved the way Roy let their romance take it's time and mature into something so passionate that we don't see or read about anymore. I can't wait to see what happens next for Victor and Natasha in the brilliant mind of Roy Glenn now known as the Master of Romance. Great job as always Roy. Highly recommend this

A Awesome Love Story.

It's amazing how Author Roy Glenn can go from being on the bestseller list for writing Urban Literature like his famous Mike Black Series, but now he is doing the same with this love story It's Only Love. I loved the storyline and the all the characters. I was able to read this book in one day because it had me captivated with wanting to know if the main characters Victor and Natasha was going to end up together. If you want to read a good love story this is a good one you will laugh at Victor family and you cry at what happen to Victor in his childhood. This is a most buy well worth your money.

Loved It

This love story had me hooked from the first page. Victor and Natasha were meant for each other. I liked how their romance evolved slowly by starting out as friends. There was no rush to have sex. I like that Natasha finally found her voice in the end. I highly recommend this book. Great job Roy Glenn.
