I have one mission in life… Protect my family at any cost. With danger constantly hovering around the Hawkes… My job has become a twenty-four-hour commitment. That doesn’t leave much time for a personal life. But when a handsome, mysterious stranger draws my ire at the Hawkeye Club… He also ignites something deep inside me. His arrogance and obsessiveness should be red flags. Yet, all I see is promise smoldering in his blue eyes. All I feel is his rough callouses grazing my skin and bringing me pleasure. All I need is him. Even when I shouldn’t. Even when it’s wrong. None of it matters. Until the depths of his secrets are revealed. And I realize I’ve just let a wolf into the Hawkes’ house.
Renegade Hawkeis the seventh book in The Hawke Family Second Generation Series from USA Today Bestselling Author Gwyn McNamee. Grab this angsty, steamy billionaire romance about a strong, independent woman with a mission to protect her family and a man with secrets who wants nothing but her—until all the lies unravel and he’s forced to face the consequences of his deceptions.
Absolutely fantastic. Renegade Hawke has everything I love a badass heroine, enemies to lovers, and a secret identity that completely threw me. I knew there was a twist coming, but it was not the one I expected.
I have been obsessed with the Hawke family since book one, and this one did not disappoint. Gwyn McNamee kept me on edge the entire time. Bishop’s story felt so different from the other women, and I loved that. She grew up a tomboy, she is fierce enough to pin a grown man without hesitation, but she also shows real vulnerability as the story unfolds. Watching that balance and growth was one of my favorite parts.
The detail pulled me all the way in. You can see it, hear it, feel it.
And that ending… my god. I cannot wait for the final book because I have a feeling about what is coming next, and if I am right, it is going to be wild.
If you have not started the Hawke family yet, you are missing out. This series is pure addictive chaos.
NOTE: I don’t recommend reading the Hawke Family Second Generation series out of order due to the storylines being connected, and if you haven’t read the first generation, then start with that series first.
Renegade Hawke is the seventh book in Gwyn McNamee’s The Hawke Family Second Generation series. This time, we get Bishop’s book, and here is one reader who was excited to finally read her book. She’s the one who helps protect the Hawke family members, and she’s going to end up meeting her match in Renegade Hawke.
This book was an emotional read because Bishop’s POV made my heart go out to her. She felt pressured due to what had happened to the Hawke Family, and she knows she hasn’t really lived her life outside her work, which her father points out. She’s not someone you want to mess with either, and the MMC finds out the hard way when he ends up pinned down by her after he tries to help at her family’s club. I just loved her character so much because of her strength and fierceness; she’s determined, too, but she really needs to realize she’s not at fault for what is happening, and she needs to start living her life. She needs someone to show her she can be loved, and she will when the MMC comes into her life unexpectedly.
That is when Gage comes into the picture, and this man fell hard for Bishop. I loved him so much, and reading his passion for Bishop and how he was determined to win her over, even though he knew he should stay away from her. He knew she was a fighter, and I loved the nickname he gave her, ‘Hellcat,’ because it truly fit her, even though she didn’t like him calling her that. He truly would not leave her alone, and Bishop had every right to be wary of him. I would be, too, especially when she finds out who he truly is. But the way Gwyn McNamee described him, let’s just say Bishop will definitely have a hard time staying away from him.
When it came to Gage and Bishop being together, it was a rocky start due to trust issues. Once they do get together, Gage has some tricks up his sleeve to have Bishop let go, and he has something hidden that even has her in shock. He truly made Bishop’s head spin, and she didn’t know how to handle him afterward. Plus, there were some BDSM elements in this book that will have you grabbing a fan to cool off.
If you’ve been reading the series, you know the Hawkes have been dealing with a certain antagonist who has been targeting the Hawkes and even has one of them working for him, which could put this Hawke in trouble. They are determined to finally deal with him, but he’s not someone they can just handle by themselves, especially when another person is also targeting the Hawkes. I’m ready, like Bishop, to finally have this antagonist leave them all alone. Thankfully, they have someone on their side to finally deal with the bad guys.
Fair warning, there is a cliffhanger at the end of this book, and it’s going to involve the last Hawke, who is another I’ve been intrigued with, and I’m ready for her to get her HEA, too. Please, give the Hawkes some peace in the last book, Gwyn McNamee. No more heartaches. I can’t handle heartaches for this family anymore because they truly have become like family to me. Overall, an excellent read, I give it five stars. It kept me on edge, and the steamy moments between Bishop and Gage are intense. It definitely is one of my favorite books in the series, and I highly recommend it.
POV: Dual POV (Single POV)
Cliffhanger: Yes.
Would I recommend this book/series? Yes. If you love series with strong characters, suspense, action, and romance, the Hawke Family Second Generation is a must. (And of course I’m going to recommend the first generation, too.)
What to Expect: ✔️Interracial Romance ✔️Forbidden Romance ✔️Dominant Hero ✔️Billionaire Heroine ✔️He Falls First ✔️Kickbutt Heroine ✔️Secret Identity ✔️Tattooed Bad Boy Hero ✔️Suspense & Spice

This Is the Kind of Epic Read You Feel in Your Bones!
I was so excited to read this book and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest, it completely met and honestly exceeded, everything I’ve come to expect from the Hawke Second Generation series.
From the second Bishop and Gage collided, it felt like standing too close to a storm you know is going to hit but you refuse to move anyway. The chemistry isn’t just explosive… it’s volatile, unpredictable. The kind that hums under your skin and demands attention.
Bishop is pure power wrapped in control…fierce, unshakably loyal, willing to burn the world down for her family. You feel that edge in her constantly, that razor-sharp devotion that defines her. But Gage? He walks in and challenges it and pushes it. He tests every boundary she has. He doesn’t just see her strength… he provokes it!
And when he calls her “Hellcat”…Holy Moly!! That’s not just a nickname, that’s a claim, a spark, a warning. The way he says it? Low, knowing, edged with possession and heat… like he recognizes the fire in her and wants to be the one to unleash it…freaking HOT! Every single time, it hits.
The buildup is agonizing in the best way and when it finally breaks? It’s intense, consuming and laced with that dirty, commanding edge that makes Gage impossible to resist. He doesn’t whisper what he wants…he claims it. And Bishop? She meets him there, fire for fire, refusing to be anything less than his equal… even when the lines blur.
And the spice? Next level🔥🔥🔥 This isn’t soft nor gentle… it’s charged. Every look lingers too long. Every touch feels like it could spiral out of control. And the BDSM elements woven into their dynamic? They don’t feel thrown in, they feel intentional. A push and pull of control, trust and surrender that adds another layer of intensity to their connection. It’s not just about desire and the heat, it’s about power, about vulnerability, about how far they’re willing to go with each other.
But what takes this from addictive to unforgettable is the emotional destruction layered underneath it all. Because this isn’t just passion,it’s risk.
The secrets aren’t small. The lies aren’t harmless. And when the truth starts unraveling? It doesn’t crack..it detonates!
The family element raises everything to another level. The Hawkes aren’t just part of the story…they are the heartbeat, the stakes, the line that cannot be crossed. And Gage? He walks straight into that world carrying things that could tear it apart. Watching Bishop stand at that crossroads, between the man who sets her on fire and the family she would die for…is gutting.
You feel the pressure, the betrayal and impossible choices. And when it all collides? It hurts.
Gwyn McNamee absolutely dominates this kind of story. The way she balances scorching chemistry, layered power dynamics and high stakes family drama with raw emotional depth is unreal. She doesn’t just build tension, she stretches it until it’s unbearable… and then lets it snap in the most devastating, satisfying way.
Renegade Hawke is intense, seductive, emotionally brutal and utterly unputdownable.
Bishop and Gage didn’t just give me angst. They gave me obsession.
And you’ll still be feeling the aftershocks after the final chapter!
Thank you Gwyn McNamee for the ARC of Renegade Hawke!
I've been super excited to read Bishop's story since reading the previous novels and it did not disappoint. The plot only gets thicker as you read the book. Who doesn't love secrets, lies, truths and revelations?!
From the beginning of Bishop and Gage meeting each other you knew it was going to be explosive. Completely volatile and unpredictable but in all the best ways.
Bishop is the type of woman who will burn the world down for her family. She's fierce and unwavering in her loyalty. She has worked hard to be in the position she's in and refused to let anyone in her circle down. She also refuses to let her walls down and allow someone to get close to her.
That is until Gage walks into her life. He not only sees her strength, but appreciates it and provokes her boundaries. From the start he recognizes her fire and wants to unleash it. When they get together he is able to give her exactly what she needs without her asking for it.
The way Gwyn writes this story, you can see the desire and heat, while also getting the power and vulnerability from the characters. The reader can see how far they're willing to go with each other, especially when secrets are revealed. The way she is able to deliver a deliciously layered story that has you hooked from start to finish is absolutely delectable.
I'm excited to see what comes next with Astrid's story!
Bishop has spent her whole life protecting and taking on responsibility for her family which has kept her from allowing herself to form attachments outside of the group. Gage come barreling through Bishops walls and really truly seeing her. He was able to give her exactly what she needed to get out of her head and enjoy the moment. These two making fighting into foreplay and it works for them! Gage comes in with secrets and hidden agendas that make you question his intentions but hang on we'll get to the truth! I finished this book and I'm still working through the emotions. I don't think I realized this was the 7th book in the second-generation series because I get so invested in the characters that I don't count I just NEED MORE! I finished this book and I need more! I can't wait until someone else reads it so we can discuss it and how it ended! If you've read this author's work, then you know what to expect. You're going to love it, get invested and count down the days until you find out what happens next!
I really enjoyed reading Renegade Hawke. The plot, characters and suspense was done very well and kept me engaged and needing to know what happened next. Both Bishop and Gage were great characters who had insane chemistry from the start and built a trust between them that was strong. Bishop was a badass character and I adored her. I thought her fierce, protective and loving personality made for such a good character. Gage was also so protective, patient and cunning. You could tell they were both hiding something and I had guessed one of them pretty early on but it didn’t stop me from being excited about what happens and how it’s dealt with. We’re definitely finding out more about the plot thats been weaved between all of the books and i’m excited to see what comes next with Astrid’s book.
Renegade Hawke is the seventh novel om The Hawke Family Second Generation series by Gwyn McNamee and this story follows Bishop to her happily ever after.
Bishop has always been a mystery in this series. Even six stories in. She's a fixture for sure. 100% always there for her family and their businesses, but we don't really know all that much about her otherwise.
As you can expect, this book changes that and she is so much more than I could have expected.
Gage is a mystery too, but I love that right from the beginning of the story he balances her out. I love that he is alpha, but at the same time loves her true strength and the fact that she could take him to the ground at any moment.
I loved the dynamic of this story and of course all the twists and turns of the Hawke world! What a great read!
Bishop will do anything for her family and has always done everything she can to protect them which hasn’t left her much time to focus on a personal life let alone romance. When she meets Gage he challenges her and appreciates the feisty and fiery woman she is but despite that she knows that there is a lot about him that she doesn’t know.
When Gage tries to come to Bishop’s rescue he is the one that is in for a surprise and that only makes her more intriguing. Due to his secrets, he believes that it would be best to keep his distance however that is a challenge he can’t meet and now he needs to show her that putting her faith in him isn’t a mistake.
The connection and chemistry between Gage and Bishop is second to none as they take us an adventure that is filled with surprises and suspense.
Loved, loved this book so much. The storyline was amazing. The characters were perfection and I just loved how they were drawn to each other. And of course the plot only gets thicker in this book. There's secrets, lies, truths and revelations in the narrative with some that may come as a surprise or a shock. Then the ending that was not what I was expecting. I legit did not see it coming. But nonetheless you know the next piece of the story is going to blow it all wide open. Overall, this is a fantastic book that I cannot not recommend more than enough. It is an excellent billionaire romance with so much angst. And an absolute must read. Thanks so much to the author for a copy of this. All opinions are my own and freely expressed.
Renegade Hawke is a slow burn....but not in the usual way we find in romance. The chemistry between Bishop and Gage is off the charts right from the jump. He spends most of his time trying to get her to let go and not take it ALL on her own shoulders and trust others to have her back and sometimes their interactions are absolutely explosive in every single way. The slow burn is the suspense and the build up to the final showdown (but not the final, final, final showdown but you know what I mean). High level of suspense and amazingly more emotional than I expected from Bishop. As always, there are secrets and those secrets tend to bite you and others in the backside. Does letting go and learning to trust mean you've lost your edge?
Wow Gage and Bishop what a match these two are. He’s a little cocky, sure of himself and knows what he wants and he wants Bishop and he shouldn’t because he has a secret that would destroy her. Bishop is the main protector of the Hawes and when things don’t go right one night and Gage steps in to help things get a little dicey. The chemistry and spark between them is off the charts. Has keeps popping up everywhere Bishop is and she’s getting suspicious and can’t quite get a read on him yet, but she knows he’s up to something. When the truth starts to come to light will Gage’s secrets ruin the progress he’s made with Bishop? Or will she understand why he did what he did? No spoilers here, amazing read and highly recommend this book and the series as a whole.
The second installment in the Hawke family saga captivates readers with its compelling narrative and complex character dynamics. The story delves deep into the intricate relationship between Bishop, a character driven by an unwavering need for control, and Gage, who possesses a unique ability to see beyond surface-level perceptions. Gage's perspective reveals a profound understanding of potential and hidden depths, challenging traditional character archetypes. The novel's gripping storytelling and nuanced character development leave readers eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this engaging family saga, promising continued exploration of the Hawke family's intricate interpersonal relationships and personal growth.
Wow, just wow! Let me just start this review saying I love the hawke family! I have devoured every book in this series within 24 hours of its release. I was looking so forward to Bishop’s book. She is such a dynamic character, and I was excited to see where Gwyn took her. Much to my dismay this book fell short. It was just so slow to almost boring. Bishop’s character had so much potential and I fell in love with Gage. There were a few spot spots in the book that were interesting and finally in the last two chapters, it got much better. I hope that Astrid‘s book will be more like all of the other previous books that were so exciting and drew me immediately in.. Hopefully Bishop and Gage, we’ll have a better part in Astrid‘s book. Still an OK book but not Gwyn‘s norm.
Gage and Bishop's story had me hooked from the start. He instantly knew that she was for him, and he was determined. Bishop is a strong character, and I absolutely loved these two for each other because they brought out the best in each other. Not only is this a well written story, but the characters are well developed and had me believing they were real. I was cheering them on to get their happily ever after. This is a definite must read and a great addition to the series. Renegade Hawke is book seven in the Billionaires of New Orleans: The Hawke Family Second Generation series. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone who loves great storytelling. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
If any book deserves more than 5 stars it’s this one! Gage and Bishop from the start had an undeniable pull and I loved every second of their push and pull but obsession started when they finally gave in to their desires!!
This series is one full of edge of your seat suspense but getting this generations stories and seeing the family fight for what’s theirs has me more in love with the Hawkes than ever!
The threat of danger is growing and Bishop has to learn to have balance, and who better to teach her than the gorgeous man who can see into her soul and knows exactly what she needs!
Get ready for an EPIC story that will have you craving more!
The showdown is coming, and Renegade Hawke is setting things up perfectly! I love how protective Bishop is of her family. But try as she might, it's hard to resist everything that is Gage. Trouble is on the horizon, and the Hawke family needs all the help they can get. The finale is gonna be so good!!
Bishop and Gage are electric together, despite her internal battles. I loved their chemistry and the raw emotions involved. Showing us their softer side was a sight to behold.
When the Hawkes are under attack, there are more questions than ever! Satriano is involved, but how? I look forward to the final reckoning!
What a fabulous book. This family is loud and proud. I love their connection with each other. Bishop is an over the top control character, and you can see it and I wanted to tell her to chill, but of course, it was all Gage that was her talisman. He saw right through her and was only trying to help, but old habits are hard to break. You are lead down one path of assumptions, but of course, it's totally wrong. Definitely a page-turner , lightning and thunder in the same atmosphere every time they connect. Under the stars, definitely, under the wide open skies.
What a great addition to the Hawke Family Series!!!
Who doesn't love a strong FMC, and you definitely get that with Bishop. She has definitely met her match in Gage. The chemistry between these two is off the charts!!! These two had a lot to work through, and sometimes you questioned whether they would get their HEA, but the journey is so worth the read.
Gwyn writes characters that you can't help but fall in love with, and the stories she creates around them make you come back for more. I cannot wait for the next in the series!!!!
What a book. OMG, I could not put this book down once I started. I was hooked from the very first page and ended up finishing it in one sitting. This book moves along at a great pace making for an easy and enjoyable read that keeps you interested till the last page. The characters are so real that you feel like you have known them forever and no matter what you cannot help but love them. This is a must read book that needs to be on your TBR list. It is an amazing read, no doubt about it.
Another explosive addition to this series! I have been waiting for Bishop's story and it did not disappoint. I knew whomever she ended up with, they met their match. Their chemistry was off the charts. Even their fights were explosive. There are secrets and lies that keep the reader guessing. The twists and turns were mind blowing and I can't wait to see how it all plays out. I really enjoyed reading their journey and look forward to the next one.
I just want to start off with saying that Bishop is a badass! She is a very independent woman but she tries to take on the world. I loved how Gage was able to get it there and help her to see that she doesn’t have to work herself to the bone keeping everyone safe. I loved the heat between these two, in and out of each others pants. I definitely recommend this book but only after you have to rest of the Hawke books!
Fantastic! Loved Bishop and Gage’s story. Gage fell so hard for Bishop that he couldn’t walk away even if he tried, even though he had secrets hidden. Loved their dynamics and the way she resisted but he didn’t let go. The mystery, drama and action throughout had me in a chokehold and my heart was racing in some of those scenes. So happy that they worked out their issues and can’t wait for Astrid’s story! 🥰
I love the Hawkes. Gage steps in to help them now. Bishop is always protecting her family. I love that he was trying to get her to take care of herself. Gage falls in love with her at the very beginning. Bishop is always so serious, but he brings her out of her shell.
I love these books. The family is growing, and building a legacy. I can’t believe we are near the end. I don’t want it to be over!
‘What is it about her that makes you do stupid things?’ I love the internal dialogue of both Gage and Bishop. There’s definitely some steam in this book. Bishop is stubborn, but Gage is determined and hopefully when his secret comes to light, it won’t crush the tentative relationship they’ve started to build. Gwyn always eludes to some secret that one or more of the main characters has…. Lots of angst getting to the dirty details, but worth the time invested - always!
This is the seventh book in the Billionaires of New Orleans: The Hawke Family Second Generation series. Bishop and Gage‘s story is So good. The chemistry is off the charts! The emotional plot is intense and held my undivided attention from start to finish! An enjoyable page turner. I received an early copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review
4* Bishop takes security at the club and to the Hawke family seriously. Gage steps in when a dancer is held unwilling by a drunk customer. She's determined to keep away from him but he's drawn to her. Getting close to the family is a bonus but when Bishop makes a discovery it could certainly break her. Another great story.
Bishop is a complex women. One who carries all her emotions licked inside. One who believes its totally her responsibility to protect everyone she loves. Gage is exactly what she needs to teach her she deserves happiness and love too. That living doesn't reveal weakness but instills greater inner strength.
OMG!!! Gage and Bishop are smoking hot!!! There’s so much chemistry with them, and Gage knowing how to take care of Bishop was *chef’s kiss*. I love when a strong woman has a strong man that can see to her needs.
Then everything with the Hawkes….I did NOT see that coming. I knew something was up, but that was not on my radar.
I loved Bishop and Gage! The chemistry between these two just jumped off the pages! It's a fast paced book that is hard to put down. I loved the little twist at the end! It was also great that we got to see all of the family again! The Hawke's family series is amazing and I loved every single one so far! Already preordered the next one! I definitely recommend this series!
