Heat Harbor: A Small Town Omegaverse Romance

Rate this book
Former child star and struggling actress Phoenix Riviera is the queen of bad decisions.

But deliberately triggering her own heat to avoid getting back on a plane? That might top the list. In her defense, the last flight nearly fell out of the sky at thirty thousand feet while she was on a press tour for her latest flop. She'd rather deal with a heat in the middle of nowhere than face that again.

Now she's stranded in a tiny Maine town with the worst possible Atticus, the infuriatingly charming alpha musician the studio forced her to fake-date, and her devoted omega assistant, Mason — who she is absolutely, categorically not in love with.

And the only place to stay is under the roof of two local alphas, Judah and Dominic, who seem to know Mason a lot better than he wants to admit.

Phoenix just wanted somewhere safe to ride out her heat. Instead, she's landed in the middle of a decade-old heartbreak and a pack that's been waiting for someone exactly like her — bad decisions and all.

When her heat ends, a plane will be waiting.

The only question is whether or not she'll be on it.

This RH omegaverse romance had a strong start, and I really liked how each character was introduced and gave us a bit more of the puzzle. Unfortunately, the actual story didn’t fall into place — a lot of plot points didn’t feel properly developed. I think it could have been a much more satisfying read with a few more rounds of editing.

Fractured people find themselves when they became pack

Oh darling Phoenix is such a chaos gremlin and I loved her. Her personality was just as scattered as her emotions and I totally understand why.

Child star who wanted to sing but was pushed by her mother to act instead. As an adult she is still only know by what she did as a child. She wants to break out but her mother holds her reigns. With a terrible movie set to release and a crazy press schedule everything goes wrong.

Emergency landing, injured staff, her assistants reaction to their location, A B and B with only one room, sexual tension off the chart and absolute refusal to board another plane lead to big discoveries.

I really enjoyed getting to know each of the characters individually. However, I do feel like we missed out on them getting to know each other and the relationship never felt like a relationship except with Atticus and Mason. I wanted more of them together more than just during a heat.

I feel like there were a lot of ideas in the book but they did not all get what they deserved which left things feeling incomplete. So ultimately this needed either more completion or less extra things being added in so the story felt complete.

I have to admit that if there is one genre that I am addicted to it’s the Omegaverse. You offer me an Omegaverse book and I will jump on it and I’m going to just devour it. This is the not the first book by Nola Heart that I’ve read and this isn’t the first book in the Destinationverse that I’ve read, and I swear this series just keeps getting better and better.

Phoenix Riviera: Phoenix is a former child star and is now a struggling actress who is now the queen of bad decisions. At first, she appears to be a spoiled, selfish, self-centered celebrity. She’s now an adult and on tour with another former child star Atticus and she’s brought her best-friend and fellow Omega Mason with her. Mason is also Phoenix’s assistant.

Phoenix comes off as shallow, selfish, and really very self-centered, but those are just aspects of her personality and are more of just coping mechanisms. She’s really not all that selfish, it’s really all coming from a place of deep wounds.

Slowly we start to get hints and peeks into the start of Phoenix’s deeper nature. And slowly as we get deeper into the book we get more and more periods of who she truly is and we see more character growth in not only quality but also quantity.

Mason: Is one of the rare male Omega’s in this Omegaverse. Mason is Phoenix’s dedicated assistant and best-friend and you can see from the very beginning that he’s nothing but loyal to Phoenix and he’s one of the few people who see Phoenix for who she truly is on the inside.

You know without a doubt that Mason’s in love with Phoenix who is not only his best-friend but is also his employer. You can tell that he’s not willing to open up and admit his feelings to Phoenix as he doesn’t want to ruin their professional working relationship and cross any boundaries.

Mason is this intelligent, observant, he’s quick to fix any and all situations that come up and he’s willing to do anything he’s asked to and needs to for Phoenix. Of course, that doesn’t include admitting his feelings for Phoenix.

We do learn that he’s running from his past, running from a mistake that he made a decade ago and he’s trying to forget it ever happened and now suddenly that past appears to be right in front of him.

Dominic: Lives in a small fishing town where he works as a bartender. He comes from a broken home, lived in a foster home, is a juvenile delinquent and has managed to turn his life around and is now a family loving Alpha.

Dominic is protective, loyal, and supportive of his family, friends, and those he loves the most and holds the dearest. You can tell that he is the strong rock that any Omega could ever want or need and you can’t help but love how he treats the celebrities like everyone else the moment he meets them. You can tell that he’s the kind of Alpha who will never let life push or keep him down. And you’ll fall in love with the confidence and commanding presence that he carries naturally.

Judah: He’s almost a tragic character in an almost gothic sense. You can almost see him wandering sadly in this gloomy mood through his house that’s centuries years old, and yes, I see it with a widow’s walk. (Even if Nola didn’t write one in).

Judah is the Alpha who accidently bonded with an Omega in High School and now suddenly his own past has come back to stare him in the face, and you know that he doesn’t know what to do or think. His world and life has crashed down around his ears once, but you can tell that he’s doing the best he can to handle everything as it comes at him. But this time he has bis best-friend standing by his side, hope in his heart and he is doing what he has to and what he needs to in order to convy all his feelings.

Atticus: He’s the once character that I didn’t want to like but I found I couldn’t help but like, he’s infuriatingly charming, an Alpha musician, and the studio has forced him to fake-date Phoenix. He started off as a play-boy musician, at least to the world, and it looks like he’s finally broken into the movies and gotten his first role. Oh, and the studio and Atticus have agreed to keep the whole “fake-dating” thing between them and not tell Phoenix.

From the very beginning Atticus turned out to be this decent guy who just got off on the wrong foot but you can tell that he would watch the world burn in order to take care of and protect Phoenix. Everything changes though when the cameras are gone, the reporters have disappeared, there’s no stage or managers close by or breathing down Atticus’s neck. It’s when he has room to just be and breath. It’s in those moments that you see the true Alpha he is, and it’s that Alpha that you can easily fall in love with and personally I adored every moment that Alpha was on the page.

I loved that this was a character driven story and that it wasn’t a slow-burn or an insta-love, it’s slow-burn(ish) but the romance isn’t drawn out. This book is the perfect length for the story and the romance. And I have to say that the hearts this book reveals, well I’ll get to that.

I just love Nola’s writing style and the skill she has in developing characters who at first appear to be one way and then as the story continues you find that your first opinions of a character are wrong and in fact that character is deeper than they appear and you see them grow and truly start to develop.

Atticus was one of those characters who at first appeared to be this typical bad boy musician who managed to snag a role in a movie. As you get to know him though he actually turns out to be this really decent guy who just got off on the wrong foot. One of the things that I appreciated is that Nola didn’t get bogged down in Atticus’s first impression, similar to Phoenix’s first impression. We see the truth of who Atticus is unfold in almost a spiral – kind of like a rose slowly blooming.

Without Atticus I don’t think the pack would have come together, bonded, and truly developed in the way it did.

I truly loved Dominic and Judah. Dominic is so adorable and I loved the strength and loyalty he has to his friends, family, and in the end his pack. And you can tell that he truly loves Phoenix and would burn the world down to protect her and take care of her.

Judah has this tragic air about him. I wish though I could have gotten to know more about his past and his family. While I love “interconnected standalones” I think that if Heat Harbor had been made into a duology, this would have allowed us to not only get to know Judah better but it would have allowed us more time to really see all the various relationships and dynamics develop between Dominic, Judah, Mason, Atticus, and Phoenix.

If you are looking for a great Omegaverse read with fun characters, found family, male Omegas then Heat Harbor is the book you’ll want to add to your TBR ASAP. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

A few of my favorite quotes are:

“For once, I’m the anchor. For once, I’m the one providing the stability while someone else falls apart.”

“I was the catalyst. The person who pushed them back together after a decade apart. But catalysts don’t stay in the equation once the reaction is complete.”

“They’re gone. It’s just us. You’re safe.”

“I know I’m safe. That’s why I can’t let go.”

“It means that none of them will ever touch her again, I promise you that.”

“I want to be loved, not just desired.”

Oh. My. Word. Holy buckets. I chose Heat Harbor because it’s OV and I have family connections to Maine, and I have now discovered a new OV author to follow and read more of. I love this book so much it’s actually making it harder to write the review! I want to gush about the characters, and how their identities build and build and build throughout the book (but I keep straying too far into spoiler territory). This character driven novel is neither a quick insta-love, but nor does it feel like things are dragged out to a point where you can’t help but think the book should have been shorter. This book is almost the perfect length for the story it tells and the hearts it reveals (more on that later)

Speaking of Phoenix’s heat, and overall self-centered attributes, Nola Heart is truly skilled at writing a character who initially seems (and to other characters continues to seem) to be shallow and/or selfish but whose self-centered aspects overall seem to be coping mechanisms, (unhealthy and thoughtless but nevertheless coping mechanisms) and the induced heat turns out to be from a place of deep wounds, not selfish manipulation. You get hints in the beginning of Phoenix’s deeper nature, and the periods of her being her true self grow in quantity and quality the further the book goes.

Atticus, in a twist for which I am truly thankful, and similar to Phoenix’s story, the essence of who he is unfolds in an almost spiralesque manner – like a fiddle-head fern blooming. Atticus was my favorite character from almost start to finish, and I love that man; 10/10 and my book crush. Although Phoenix seems to get all or most of the credit for bringing the pack together, and certainly played a key role in one aspect, Atticus is the one without whom this pack truly wouldn’t have developed. And I had to delete a lot of my other favorite things because they’re pure spoilers.

Dom and Judah come across a little more as supporting characters than equal MCs. Dom is absolutely adorable, but also displays strength and loyalty and would be pack alpha if Atticus weren’t there. He’s willing to watch the world burn to protect and take care of Phoenix. Judah is tragic in an almost gothic sense, although that could be because I can’t help but picture him wandering sad and melancholy through his centuries old house, which I picture with a widow’s walk regardless of whether one was written. As much as I have come to love “interconnected stand alone” series, I think a longer book or a duology would have allowed us more time to see relationships develop between Dom and Judah and the other members of the pack.

Last but not least, Mason is our other Omega, and that poor sweet boy. In this OV male omegas are rare, and that sets the tone for so much of his story (both in life and in the book). There’s some “dangit why didn’t you just talk to each other” but then you realize why they didn’t talk to each other (and am I talking about the they you think they are? Sshh, spoilers!) and for all that Mason and the conflict involving him are a central point of the plot, I think this is another area where a longer book or a book two would have helped because we mostly see Mason and Phoenix and I wanted to see more Mason and everybody else too!

Trope related commentary - Nola Heart subverted the friends/colleagues to lovers/ Phoenix’s heat trope as I expected it to play out and then doubled the trouble and it was magnificent!

Ω “For once, I’m the anchor. For once, I’m the one providing the stability while someone else falls apart.”

♡Ω🦞---ARC Review---♡Ω🦞

I went into this already knowing that omegaverse is one of my guilty pleasures, but what made this one stand out right away was the male omega focus: something I hadn’t really encountered before in a way that centered the story. That alone made it feel a bit fresh within a trope I already enjoy.

“I was the catalyst. The person who pushed them back together after a decade apart. But catalysts don’t stay in the equation once the reaction is complete.” Ω

What really carried the book for me, though, was the pack dynamic. Atticus completely won me over, which I did not expect after his initial introduction; I was definitely side-eyeing him at first. But the way he fell so hard for Phoenix and how their bond developed over time was honestly one of my favorite parts. It was sweet, genuine, and just made me happy to read. Dom was another standout. He had that confident, commanding presence that just works, and I especially loved his role toward the end. The connection between him and Phoenix in those final moments, and how their attraction evolved into something deeper, was incredibly satisfying.

🦞 “They’re gone. It’s just us. You’re safe.”
“I know I’m safe. That’s why I can’t let go.” 🦞

Mason, on the other hand, brought a different kind of emotional weight to the story. His loyalty to Phoenix, even when he believed he’d never have more with her, was really touching. The way she acted around him also gave us a much better understanding of who she truly was beneath her public persona. Because at first, Phoenix didn’t totally work for me. She came across as the stereotypical spoiled, selfish celebrity, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about her. But as the story progressed, especially in her interactions with Mason, Atticus, and the rest of the pack, she became much more layered, and I ended up appreciating her character more.

Ω “It means that none of them will ever touch her again, I promise you that.”

Judah was probably the weakest link for me, which is unfortunate. He wasn’t bad by any means, but he felt more like a background presence compared to the others. What we did see of him was sweet, and I did like how his storyline resolved, but I never fully felt the connection between him and Phoenix. It seemed like their relationship leaned more on the group dynamic than on anything built directly between the two of them.

“I want to be loved, not just desired.” 🦞

If I had one other complaint, it would be that I personally wanted more spice. Not because there wasn’t any, but because I’m used to omegaverse stories that really lean into those moments with a lot more intensity, especially during something like a heat cycle, so it felt a bit toned down compared to what I expected. Overall, this was a really enjoyable read with a strong group dynamic and a few standout characters that made it worth it. It didn’t necessarily hit every mark for me, but it kept me engaged (literally read it in under 5 hours in a single sitting) and offered a slightly different take within a trope I already love.

This one caught me off guard in a good way. I went into this expecting it to be alright and have a fun time, especially after reading the summary. I wasn't sure how I would like the FMC inducing her own heat to not have to get back on a flight. The end result? I loved the story. The characters? I was invested! I honestly didn't want it to end.

I love an Omegaverse that features 2 Omegas. I find I come across them far less often than I would like. This story features our FMC Phoenix who was a child star now an adult on a tour with another child star Atticus and her Omega assistant / best friend Mason.

Phoenix is an actress, perceived as self-centered and dramatic, the party girl. But underneath there is a lot more to her than the world sees. Her bff/assistant Mason is one of the people who see's her as she really is but so does Atticus. She secretly pants for him while he's pining for her and neither of these two are willing to NOT be stubborn from the start.

Atticus is the play boy musician to the world who's finally gotten a movie role and decides to do a whole fake dating thing with Phoenix... without telling her of course. Camera's love it. But I love seeing an entirely different side to Atticus that is seen once the camera's are gone, there's no reporters, no stage or managers breathing down his neck. He can just be. He easily became an Alpha that I easily adored and loved for every single moment that he was on the page.

Mason being a male omega is in love with his employer / best friend but of course isn't willing to tell her and ruin the professional boundaries. He's observant, smart, quick to fix a situation and willing to do literally anything for Phoenix, okay besides telling her how he feels of course. Who would have thought that an emergency landing would bring out his biggest secret and open up an entirely new world of possibilities for him? He definitely didn't. An Omega running from his past, trying to forget a mistake a decade before and never expected that past to suddenly be in front of him....

Dominic the bartender Alpha in a small fishing town. Juvenile delinquent foster boy turned into family loving Alpha. Protective, loyal and supportive. He's the rock that any Omega could need and also not fawning all over the celebrities the moment they meet. His background was touching and believable with how our world itself is especially for those of us who have been in the system and were kind of forgotten. He's an Alpha who didn't let life keep him down.

Judah is the Alpha who bonded an Omega on accident in high school. His past comes back unexpectedly, and he doesn't know what to do. His world already crashed down once, but he faces everything the best he can. With the support of his best friend and the hope in his heart he does what he needs to convey what he is feeling.

The characters I became invested in, rooted for, teared up over and glad to have met them. They each had moments where they broke up the tension with making me laugh and it's definitely one that I could see me reading again.

Deliciously heartwarming omegaverse story!

🦞 Omegaverse, 2 omegas
🦞 Fake dating
🦞 Friends to lovers
🦞 Found family
🦞 Small town romance feel
🦞 RH with lots of spice and heat🔥

This was a bit different for me because it had a more modern backstory and two omegas with three alphas in the mix. And I really liked the consept of them having traits of the bonding you have in omegaverse usually but that their just human otherwise.

Phoenix is an actress whose mother only cares about the numbers she brings in, the hype and buzz she can make around her daughter and her looks. Her mother has been managing her career as long as she can remember. The only stable thing in her life is Mason, her assistant who does everything and more for her. Her only constant in life.

On yet another travel by plain, that she's terrified of doing, the engine fails and they have to perform an emergency landing. And when Mason hears where they had landed he turns distant and pale and he most certainly avoids the subject like the plague. Oh, and her co-star also was on the plane due to her manager mothers sceeming to make it appear that they're dating. Atticus is very attractive but pompous and is all to observant on the people around him.

Dom is a bartender in a small bar and his family is the one who took him in as a run away foster kid. Mabie and Judahs father found him, took him in and he's been in this town ever since. When he sees Mason in town and tells Judah, everything changes.

Mason confides in Atticus and he tries to help him with his secret but it unravels bit by bit with every day he's there and completely shatters when he sees someone he left behind ten years ago and never thought he's see again.

This is a great story of found family, lost love and unexpected sparks that no one saw coming, well maybe Atticus did.

I adore the characters. Phoenix got more layered and deep throughout when we got to know her more. Atticus was also such a great and unexpected character that I did not anticipate liking all that much. Dom got more sweet everytime, Masons walls melted away little by little and the rawness of him was just heartbreaking. Judah was the only character I maybe connected with the least but that also became natural in a way.

I am now going to read the rest of Hearts stories because this was a warm, heartbreaking, charming and deliciously heated story, and I want more!

Thank you book sirens for the earc. This review is my honest opinion and my opinion only.

This is definitely one of those "it is not me, it is you" things. I just cannot decide if it is a book writing thing or just a choice of characters I don't like that is souring the rest.

DNF page 55, rating is only for first 5 chapters. I really wanted to love this book. I gave book one 5 stars for the vibes (though it was probably more a 4 star) and book two a 4 star rating. So I expected a good book.

But this was kind of painful to read. It didn't really give off the same vibes as the other two and pull me in with a good story. It could be that it needed more editing to tighten up more. Or it could be solely the characters that made reading a chore.

I dislike the FMC. She was very spoiled, whiny, and woe is me. I get there is mother issues and I do believe being a child actress trying to make it as a grown up actress would be difficult. Mostly of the ones I've seen in real life have to strip to get "treated" as an adult or they are the party hard, in and out of rehab sort of individuals. So I get there is potential for struggle and growth here but we got off on the wrong foot and I don't give a darn about her.

I really dislike the alpha musician's son mmc. Same thing. 'Woe is me, I am just my dad's latest acquisition, everyone thinks I'm a manwhore so I'll play the role.' Plus he is very 'I am better than you.' Whether that is his true thoughts or just him playing a role again, I do not know, but it is not what I want to read about for a main character. Also, I will admit he triggered me when he was all 'I agree to fake date an actress, allude to that in from of cameras, then have some random chick sit on my lap at an after party' and then the next day is all 'I missed my shot with her...and I'm mad that the other dude called me out for going to treat her like another notch on my bedpost because it is true but also idk what I want from her yet.' Just please no.

The omega mmc honestly was the best of them all. He was kind and loyal to her. But he wasn't enough to keep reading when he obviously is going to have history with the other two mmcs we haven't met yet. And truthfully, if I kept reading and his reason for leaving the other two mmcs turned out to stupid or triggering or if the other two mmcs were as annoying as the first two characters we met, then I would be stepping away from this book angry. As it stands i just don't care so I am DNFing this as not for me but I am willing to read more by this author.

Interesting omegaverse with complicated, messy characters

Oh, as a FYI, I received an ARC copy, but also purchased my own.

If there's something I think this author does very very well, it's that she make her characters make boneheaded, irrational decisions.. based on inaccurate information, misinformation, or NO information.. kind of like people do in reality.

Even if I disagreed with their actions, I could see the (ill) logic behind it.

Like how because of the crash landing of her plane, Phoenix decides to induce a heat so she immediately doesn't have to get on a plane again.
Many people understand PTSD, and her actions demonstrate that in the book.

Or how Mason(the other omega) and Phoenix's right hand man, leaves his hometown for years, right after bonding with an alpha. No communication or asking for clarification, just a decision made based on assumptions. (Again, not far fetched)

Dom, the alpha with the not so great past, and Atticus, Phoenix's costar , they kind of get the short end of the stick, character and arc wise, imo.
Maybe Atticus more so than Dom. Between all 5 of them, he's the character with the fewest issues, so he doesn't get as much on page time with everyone else as I might've wished.

The issues with Phoenix's mother had the potential to have a bigger emotional arc than it ended up having, and that was a bit of a bummer to me. It ends up being addressed in an epilogue.

Did I enjoy the book and the dynamics? I did.. even with my quibbles, I find Heart's book easy to read and get immersed in.

This omegaverse has all the goods!
Small town, second chance, surprise heat, accidental bonding, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, scent matches, touch her & you know what, and of course lots of knots!
What starts off as me thinking this entitled omega FMC who is spoiled rotten and just dramatic...and a MMC alpha who is pretentious and a playboy have a mild inconvenience....turns into so much more!
These characters...their backstories...the things they've all experienced...it's all so heartbreaking.
I'm not gonna lie...at first I was like how is this author going to make this all work.
These characters are so different, there's no way that a surprise heat is going to be enough.
But boy was I wrong....not only were these characters smoking HAWT together...but them being thrown into not one but TWO heats gave them the motivation to figure out their dynamic.
Then add in one very determined and feisty omega who knows what she wants and that fast tracks this little packs journey.
There's some hidden little secrets in this town that create some really big feelings.
There's lots of hurt and tons of healing as individuals and as a pack.
One very loved stuffed crustacean.
And even a touch of suspense that had me on the edge of my seat!
I cannot wait to see what is next for this little series!
A huge thank you to book sirens for this incredible ARC opportunity!

She’s always alone in the crowd.

Phoenix has been a “superstar” for most of her life. She parties a lot to keep the loneliness at bay. Currently she is doing a premiere tour for her new movie. Her mother is her manager and doesn’t take Phoenix’s wants and wishes. Phoenix is afraid of flying big time. Her assistant, an omega named Mason, has loved her for the 3 years he has worked for her. He knows her better than she knows herself. Mason gives her medication for it. But Phoenix is bond and determined not to get back on that plane. Well, the plane starts to experience heavy turbulence and Phoenix is terrified beyond anything she has experienced. They have to make an emergency landing in a place called Harmony Harbor because the plane has lost an engine. It’s going to take a couple of days to fix and there is only the Bed and breakfast that has only one bed. The news of Phoenix and her co-star Atticus spreads fast. Bonds can be both rewarding and sinister. Mason is from Harmony Harbor. He left his pack because of the emotions one pack member’s experienced during the bonding and he felt it all. This story is packed full of love, hate and craziness. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

This was a cute book! A great second chance romance. Judah, Dom and Mason grew up together and everything was great until everything fell apart.

Phoenix is a spoiled princess with a good heart. Her plane trauma was scary and completely understandable! I don’t know if I could have gotten back on a plane after that!!!

Mason and Judah’s drama was super tense! And yet another thing that could have been solved with communication! But I guess that wouldn’t have made for a very good storyline!

Atticus was a great additional Alpha and I adored his interactions with Phoenix!! Their dialogue was so good!! But my absolute favorite dynamic was Phoenix and Mason. He was so good for her! Steady and strong when she needed it! Then, the tables are turned and she takes care of him when he needs it!

Overall it was good story. A bit messy and chaotic, but isn’t that what love is anyway? I have thoroughly enjoyed this whole series and I will continue to love them for as long as Nola Heart writes them!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Heat Harbor by Nola Heart is an absolute must-read if you love a good Omegaverse romance.

This story pulls you in fast and does not let go. The relationship dynamic between Phoenix, Mason, Atticus, Dom, and Judah is intense in the best way—messy, emotional, and completely addictive. There’s so much tension layered into every interaction, and you can feel how high the stakes are for all of them.

What really got me was the history between Mason and Judah. That prior bond adds a whole extra level of depth and emotion to everything happening in the present. It makes the connections feel real, complicated, and sometimes heartbreaking.

This book delivers on all the feels—angst, longing, passion, and those moments where everything just clicks. If you’re into Omegaverse with strong character dynamics and emotional intensity, this one is going to hit hard.

So much to feel… and I loved every second of it.

I absolutely love Phoenix

She is a hurricane … in a life controlled by others and not realizing the control she really has.

My heart hurt for her and then Mason .. oh my … his devotion to her. His past and his present causing him so much turmoil.

For these two … it’s friends to lovers AND boss/employ

Then Atticus … a playboy or is he? The man is so observant he speaks truths before others want to hear them. To stay near Phoenix it’s a fake relationship type of thing.

Then we get Judah … oh Judah. He had no clue what happened but his Omega walked out.

And Dom … he will do anything for family but doesn’t think he is enough to be loved

Judah brings the second chance romance

Dom brings the touch them and die

And the hurricane that is Phoenix brings them all to gather ..

I could not put this book down. The yearning, the banter, the humor - it all makes Heat Harbor an intense but fun read. This book fits so well into the destination omegaverse (DestinationVerse) Nola has created.

I love the multi-POV (first person), so you really get each perspective. It really adds so much depth to the story. If you're looking for a book that will keep you entertained and involved, but pull on your heart strings and give you the right amount of spice and heat - give Heat Harbor a try. Or any of the DestinationVerse books.

Heat Harbor by Nola Heart was an action-packed omegaverse about a movie star, her best friend/assistant, a musician, a bartender, and a fisherman. Spelling it out like that it's a little hard to imagine how all of those people will mesh into one pack but Nola Heart manages to make it work! Phoenix Riviera is one of two omegas in this story and she has a huge personality that seems necessary to draw in three alphas and another omega. I enjoyed the individual characters in this story, but would have loved more development of some of the guys. Especially Atticus! Sometimes they just faded into the background and got a little lost in the scenes.

Thank you BookSirens for a free ARC for my honest review!

I've read the first two books in this series so I was super excited about this one. I will say they're all standalones so you don't have to read those to understand what's going on. If you love a good Omegaverse you will love this book! Phoenix decides to do something crazy and make her heat come on so she doesn't have to get on the plane. She has her assistant Mason with her who has been in love with her for years but hides it well. Plus Atticus her fake boyfriend musician. I loved how everything came together with both Phoenix and Mason being Omegas and Atticus, Judah, & Dominic being Alphas. Plus the second chance aspect was wonderful.

Wonderful and entertaining.
Rich, in-depth storytelling that captivated me right from the start. I feel in love with the characters and felt like I was watching a favourite TV show, or even standing in the room with them. Interesting plot that just keeps giving more and more. I loved this book and highly recommend it if you like omegaverse polyamorous stories, MMFMM – with a HEA, of course. I’d also recommend checking out the other Heat stories available from this author.

This was an interesting twist on the typical omegaverse story: two omegas, and one of them a man. This was an intriguing story with a cast that I generally enjoyed, except Phoenix. I'm so over the selfish, thoughtless character who does what she wants, no matter the consequences or who else might be affected. Who she steps on in the process makes it even worse. If she had even an ounce more care for other people, I would have rated this book higher.

Many thanks to Booksirens for an ARC in exchange for my honest assessment of this work.

Ok yes I have read a few more books by this author and I gotta say I do see the growth she is making and I love it. Now imagine an omega triggering her own heat to not go on the plane. Something I haven't seen in omegaverse yet and I love this really. Unique but still so good as we get to know the characters and some aren't bad at all but misunderstandings and such. This does feature another omega who is male and that is a rarety. I am falling in love with the story and am watching for sure what the author does next.

I received an ARC of Heat Harbor thanks to the publisher through Booksirens in exchange for an honest review.

This was a multi-POV story done well. It can be really difficult to create a story that gives each character enough page time when there is more than 2-3 POVs. This one has 5 and they were all fully flushed out. On top of that, each of the characters was able to develop and establish at least one strong bond, with some characters having multiple. I am definitely adding the rest of the series to my TBR list.

Phoenix is a star of a kid show, now she trying to break into movies as an adult. Her mother makes all her decisions and now she wants to choose what she does. Mason is her personal assistant and will do anything for her. Phoenix hates flying and guess what happens? Yes their plane has problems and they are stuck in a small town in the Northeast . Mason is not liking where they are located, his own problems, and Phoenix is going to make the best of it with Atticus who is also trying to break into the movies. What happens when they check into the only B & B and there is only one room?

I read the first in the series, standalone and loved it so I requested an arc for this one.

It was good, not as good as the first one.

I love a double omega moment and this did not disappoint. I didn’t like how the heats and things that occurred around them panned out, just wasn’t enjoyable to read personally.

I liked the danger that happened in the end, and the little epilogue to wrap up the story, more hfn than hea.

Overall a good but regular omegaverse.

I was able to get an arc through book siren, all opinions are my own.

Phoenix, Atticus, and Mason get stuck in a small town in Maine after their plane had to make an emergency landing. Phoenix refuses to fly again and takes some desperate measures to avoid it. She doesn’t realize the emotional storm that’s about to hit because they are in Mason’s hometown, where his bonded alpha, Judah, and childhood friend, Dom, still live. Lots of emotional drama thrown in the mix with two omega heats. Trauma and feelings finally come to light and are dealt with. Loved how they were able to form their pack after years of heartbreak.

I usually love Nola Heart's Destinationverse books, but I felt like this one was trying to do too much, which meant no one got the attention they deserved. I loved the idea of a pack with two omegas, especially one with a female and a male. But both characters had such complicated histories and I, as a reader, never really felt like the end pack really fit together seamlessly.

3.5. For lovers of all things Alpha and Omega, this may be your jam. I personally loved the first half and found Mason to be my fav Male Lead. At some point, things started moving too fast for me, and I lost the connection to the characters. Still, the writing was solid, and the banter was at times really good. This had heart, and heat.

I thought this book was really cute! I love when a pack comes together individually. I felt like there was good chemistry between the pack members, the plot felt like it flowed really well but the ending felt a bit rushed. I still enjoyed it but I honestly wanted 25 extra pages with a couple scenes that weren't included. I highly recommend it this book though.

I have read all Nola's books and loved them all and this one is no different. 3 Alphas and 2 omegas, i loved how Phoenix and Mason are best friends and Pheonix and Atticus are fake dating for their movie, Judah and Mason are mates who just need a second chance and Dominic had been in love with Phoenix since he was a teenager. so many tropes in one book and they all blended so well.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did.

I ended up loving all the characters, all for different reasons.

The 2 omega storyline added such depth to the story but also to Phoenix's character, giving her a chance to provide support for a change.

I definitely recommend giving Heat Harbor a chance.
