A touching account by father and daughter of her cancer journey and how it affected her Christian faith.
As an atheist there were several parts of the book to which I could not relate personally, but they were in no way preachy and were obviously most sincere. I am glad that their strong faith bought so much to Mike Durrant, his daughter Sarah, and her family.
As a cancer survivor myself there was much to which I could relate strongly. As a person who has known others who have gone through cancer, as patients or those close to them, whether religious or not, I found even more that struck true.
The idea of Mike and Sarah writing this book during such increasing darkness, and of doing it as a conversation between daughter and father is inspiring. It is warm, human, and sincere. I recommend it especially to anyone affected by a serious illness, be that of a loved one or oneself, and probably especially, but by no means exclusively, to anyone with a religious faith.
