The world ended, just not the way she was told it would. Addison is stranded on a rural farm with her young daughter, no supplies, and no husband. He vanished in the middle of the apocalypse, unwilling to risk himself to protect them from hordes of the dead. When a stranger kicks in the front door, she fears the worst. Wyatt claims the farm belongs to him and says he isn’t leaving, whether she approves or not. Pointing a shotgun at his chest and eyeing the kitchen knives when he turns his back both feel like reasonable solutions.
Instead, he makes her an offer. Thirty days. They’ll share the house, the food, and the work of bringing the farm back to life. At the end, he’ll load the gun and hand it to her. If she still wants him gone, she can pull the trigger herself. Addison was raised in a doomsday cult where women had one purpose, to repopulate the planet when the end came. Wyatt doesn’t command her, though, and somewhere between shared meals and midnight chores, she stops counting down the days until she can be rid of him…and starts imagining a future that isn’t guaranteed.
WYATT
Wyatt flew out of Alaska when the virus began in the only thing he had left, his rickety charter plane. He watched ground zero spread like locusts and failed to save the people who mattered most. By the time he lands near the farm that was supposed to be empty, he’s carrying more guilt than supplies. He doesn’t expect to find a woman in his house pointing a shotgun at his face, her hands shaking but her resolve steady. Leaving the farm to her and the kid, who need it as badly as he does, would be reasonable. Instead, he gives her thirty days to decide whether he lives or dies. He tells himself it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t plan on staying long. They aren’t his responsibility, and the farm is just another stop on the way somewhere else. Wyatt has already lost everyone he’s ever cared about. The last thing he’ll do now is let someone else into his heart.
#Review: *Say We've Found Forever* - Anna Callaway - ARC [18+] 4.9/5✨ 2.5/5🌶️
The world was affected by a severe pandemic and Addison must fend for herself when her husband disappears without a trace. Addison also must take care of their little daughter and the unborn baby she was carrying. When a complete stranger bursts into the house they were hiding in, she really doesn't know how to act around him, because she only knew the limited life from the doomsday cult she was part of. Wyatt claimed that even if he was the owner of that house, he will leave them be after thirty days have passed since his arrival. But all the time spent together and all the things they had to face in that period, made them forget about this part. In fact, they only grew closer with each day that passed and the need for each other was slowly growing stronger. How will their story end when the unexpected was constantly knocking at their door?
I was immersed into this story even from the start, feeling that suspense and angst in my bones. It's such a weird feeling to live each moment in a such intense manner. I held my breath during so many scenes from this book, because there wasn't any dull moment in this story and there were so many intense parts where their lives were on the line. Addison, Wyatt and Emma faced so many things together and I really liked how beautiful was that connection that slowly formed between them. The suspense was so nerve-wracking, never knowing what might happen to them, having so many unexpected things that could disturb their peace and quiet.
Even if this story was narrated from a third person point of view and I'm not that biggest fan of it recently, I was so captivated by this book, that this fact didn't affect the reading experience at all. Just like her precious books, Anna managed to create such an amazing, breathtaking and all-encompassing story, which I definitely enjoyed so, so much.
Thank you so much Anna for accepting me for this e-ARC! I love being part of this insane world you have created in all these books from "Flowers and Ashes" series. They were all unbelievable and sooo, sooo good!🩵

I loved this addition to the series. Addison and Wyatt might be one of my favorite couples.
I like the slow development and build to their relationship. They agree to work together pretty early on but slowly build trust. I was so interested in Wyatt's character, especially after meeting him in book 3. I loved seeing his growth in this book.
I loved the banter between all of them and how they supported each other. I did loose interest in the epilogues a bit. I was just surprised that Addison's character didn't seem to grow very much in six years. But the ending was still very sweet...and chaotic, because zombies...
Say We’ve Found Forever is another standout in this interconnected series: Flowers From Ashes. Completely readable on its own and too good to put down. If it’s a zombie romance, then I’m reading it.
A woman and her young daughter are abandoned in a quiet farmhouse…until the owner returns from Alaska. What starts as survival between strangers turns into something softer, slower, a second chance kind of love neither of them expected. The forced proximity starts out with tension, but eventually leans into trust, friendship and healing, as two broken people begin to find something steady in each other.
But there’s an undercurrent of unease. Wyatt isn’t fully truthful with Addison when they first meet, and you can feel that ticking in the background the entire time. That inevitable moment for when the truth comes out and the reader’s constant worry of Addison’s past showing up adds a layer of stress that keeps you hooked.
There’s constant danger, action that doesn’t let up, and emotional depth all the way through. I loved how clearly Addison and Wyatt’s inner struggles and growing connection came through in Anna’s beautiful third-person writing style. In the middle of chaos, this story finds a way to bloom. This was one of my favorites in the series.
This series was my first experience with post-apocalyptic romance, and it completely pulled me in. Say We’ve Found Forever delivers everything I’ve come to love about the genre: ❤️Found family ❤️🩹Survival against impossible odds, and ❤️Love blooming in the darkest of times
At its core, this story is about resilience where humanity is fractured, survival is never guaranteed, and every day comes with impossible choices. Yet even in that devastation, there’s connection. The found family element shines here, strangers brought together by circumstance, becoming everything to each other.
Wyatt and Addison’s relationship is a slow burn filled with tension, yearning, and emotional weight. Their love doesn’t feel rushed or easy, it’s something hard-earned, shaped by loss, fear, and the constant fight to stay alive. Having someone to fight for gives their survival deeper meaning, and that emotional anchor really stands out.
This final book in the series is noticeably darker, leaning fully into the brutal reality of this world. The presence of the rotters feels more intense and immediate, reinforcing just how fragile life is. There were moments where I was gripping my Kindle, completely caught up, my heart racing, dreading what might happen next, and sometimes needing to pause just to process it all 🫣😭
Overall, this was an emotional, intense, and satisfying conclusion to the series, one that highlights both the horrors of survival and the beauty of finding someone worth surviving for.
Thank you to the author Anna Callaway for the opportunity to read and feel apart of this series from book 1 💖
I received an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest, voluntary review.
The fourth and final installment of this zombie apocalypse romance series did not disappoint. We have come so far with stories spanning far and wide. Former cult member, Addison, and pilot, Wyatt, collide in a rural Kansas farm, each searching for that little bit of hope and safety that is left in a ruined world.
This story is really a character study, these people are, at their cores, emotionally damaged, feeling like they aren't worth much because of actual or perceived shortcomings and mistakes. The apocalypse has surprisingly brought things into focus for them. Highlighting their true worth and what they can mean to someone else when they have never felt that before.
Even while delving into all the emotional baggage that these people have dragged with them, the action continues throughout the whole story. Pulling us along at a steady clip, one thrilling encounter and unexpected event after another, this writing was well motivated and directed to its ultimate end. The side quests kept the plot moving and every scene felt necessary in building the stakes and brutality of the world. Even with many heartbreaking events and potential dispair lurking around every corner, these characters gathered strength from each other and overcame their inner demons to demand light when everything around them was dark. The heart of this story is a romance, Wyatt's declaration hits the nail on the head, "If there’s any happiness left to be found for me in the rubble of this world, I know it’s here, with you.”
It will be sad saying goodbye to this zombie riddled universe, but this was a worthy ending to these stories.
Firstly I gotta say I have just loved this series so much. Each book being about a different couple in different parts of the country during a zombie apocalypse yet still connected in different ways. The different takes on how each relationship blossoms during such dark times. I simply couldn't get enough. And this book isn't any different. The final book of the Flowers From Ashes did not disappoint. Wyatt and Addison and little Emma were great characters. The slow burn between Wyatt and Addison was the best. And when things finally heated up, worth the wait. The tension at the beginning, Addison wasn't sure if she could trust Wyatt, she knew the dangers out there, especially for women. But she'd also do anything to protect her daughter, Emma, from harm. She definitely couldn't count on her husband to do that. Ugh that piece of work...he got what he deserved. 🤭 But I just enjoyed seeing these characters grow and make the most of the world around them. Who says you can't have goats and cows in a zombie apocalypse. There was some suspenseful moments, that kept me on the edge of my seat, turning page after page needing to know how the situation resolved. There were also very heartbreaking moments. But in the mix of it all, there's sweet moments. Wyatt turns out to be the sweetest with Addison. 🥹
I highly recommend you check TW's this one can be tough for some. But seriously, loved this book, the series, the characters. Highly recommend it.
The 4th and final book in the Flowers from Ashes series is here! I’ve been waiting to see more of Wyatt since the end of book 3 and to get his story in Say We’ve Found Forever!
Post apocalyptic romance is one of my favorite sub genres, and this series world builds so well - zombies and all! We meet Wyatt again right at the start of the zombie apocalypse - and we also meet Addison and her daughter Emma, who were raised in a doomsday/zealous religion cult and have now been abandoned.
The slow burn, but instant family dichotomy was really intriguing, and well written despite happening fast. I do think the way it is written is appropriate in the sense that it is a zombie apocalypse - that felt very authentic to me. I loved seeing Addison and Wyatt grow more comfortable with each other, and I especially loved Wyatt and Emma’s interactions.
I do wish there had been a little bit more relationship building, and that we saw more of the growth of their relationship before the epilogues!
I do recommend you read the author’s content warnings, before reading; trigger warning for miscarriage, on page gore and zombie death, and death of a child (not on page and not a main character).
Read if you like: 💥 slow burn 💥 post apocalypse 💥 zombies 💥 grumpy MMC 💥 instant family
Many thanks to Anna Callaway for the advanced reader copy on exchange for an honest review ✨

Addison and Wyatt’s story was a great addition to the series, and also a bittersweet way to close it. The zombie apocalypse doesn’t magically end, and the world remains steeped in chaos, not just from the undead, but from the cruelty of other humans.
This is a strangers-to-friends-to-lovers story where survival binds them together. They go through hell trying to stay side by side, and I loved watching them fight with everything they had to avoid being torn apart.
Wyatt was such a solid character. He didn’t have to step up, but he chose to, becoming a steady rock for Addison and Emma when they needed it most. Addison’s background was truly disturbing. Growing up in a cult where women were treated as breeding tools added a heavy layer to her story. Watching her learn to survive in this brutal new world, slowly building confidence and independence with Wyatt’s support, felt very real and earned.
I really enjoyed this one. There’s a lot of action, to the point where I felt constantly on edge, mentally shouting “danger, danger” at every turn. It also delivers some heartbreaking moments that deepen the emotional impact.
If you enjoy post-apocalyptic romance, I definitely recommend this book and the entire series.
Thank you Anna for this ARC of Say We’ve Found Forever‼️ I have had the absolute honor of ARC reading EVERY book in the series and kinda sad it’s come to an end(?) 🥺
This one ABSOLUTELY hit the mark, it was heartfelt, heartwarming, heartbreaking, yet so uplifting! The way that Wyatt stumbles upon Addison and her daughter Emma was so accidental and a little terrifying for Addison, she’s not only worries about her (jerk) of a husband who left but also her daughter, oh and she is 2 months pregnant…
The way that Wyatt steps up and becomes absolutely smitten with Addison, her daughter Emma, and has become enamored with taking care of her unborn baby too!
Finding love in an Apocalypse, who knew⁉️ This series is such a delight, and I have adored all the characters, watching them battle the zombies and the state that the world has turned into but finding the good and their person along the way is magic!
it might sound funny but this romance series with zombies and the apocalypse has become such a cozy set of comfort reads. I love the way that Anna writes these characters, giving them such fight but also such heart and compassion as well!
Tropes: 🧟Apocalypse 🤎Found Family 🧟Slow Burn 🤎Not his baby kinda vibe 🧟Grumpy MMC 🤎Touch them and Die
Addison and Wyatt 🥹🧎♀️I didn’t expect their book, but dayum, they have me in the palm of their hands 🥹😩 The yearning, angst, chemistry and slow burn is frickin sizzling 🔥 Thank you so much, Anna, for this ARC 😈❤️ The tropes are perfect for them 🥹
Addison 😏 Independent, feisty, brave, sassy and incredibly strong 🥹 She is loving, fiercely brave and protective. Addison has been through hell, and wants to live a safe life with her adorable daughter, Emma 😭 The way she easily bantered and flirted with Wyatt had me incredibly happy 🥹 He makes her feel safe, loved and treasured 🤭 She is equally obsessed with him 😈 Emma and Addison are one of the cutest mom and daughter pairs I have read!
Wyatt 🧎♀️ This man has me obsessed since I Book 3 😈 And now I am obsessively in love! He's grumpy but secretly sunshine, quiet, mysterious, intense, protective and resourceful 😎 He couldn't help bantering with Addison every chance he got. I couldn't stop kicking my feet, because he YEARNS!! Top tier yearning 😈 The second he saw her, he was hypnotized 😏 His bond with Emma, was so cute and fatherly. She's his little girl now 🥹
That slow burn is an Anna Callaway beauty 😈 But when it hit, it was 🔥 This series is incredible and I adore every couple and story so much 🥹❤️
can we take a moment to mourn the end of this series ? there is going to an ENORMOUS dystopian romance hole in my life, now that i do not have another book to look forward to ....
that should summarize this review. this entire series is really amazing. i'm a big fan of Anna Callaway. her writing is brilliant, it just slowly draws you in. her characters are phenomenal - truly flowers from ashes in how they grow together and from a place of so much despair. her storylines are enthralling, there is so much texture and complexity.
Wyatt and Addison are brilliant together. He's sort of struggling to find a place to settle, all alone in this new world and she is trying to run away from the shackles that have trapped her. Together with her daughter, they are a found family of sorts - trying each other out for size and fit. And while everyone is wary in the beginning, the shared trauma and experiences start slowly bonding them together, creeping like vines.
I love this entire series and this book is pretty heartfelt, especially if you love stories where they move mountains to come back to each other. So beautiful.
I’ve had the opportunity to ARC read 3/4 books in this series and I’ve enjoyed all of them, including this one. While the book centers around a zombie apocalypse it is not super plot heavy in terms of zombies or even the apocalypse itself really. It’s more about human nature and nuances… how everything isn’t always so black and white, especially in the darkest of times. It’s about fear, loneliness, connection, and love. The writing is simple but not in a negative way. I mean that in the best way. The author clearly tells the story of Wyatt & Addison … she writes in a way that makes it easy to follow the story and connect to the characters while keeping me intrigued the whole time. I love how quickly Wyatt turned into a big softie while still trying to play like a big grump. Addison’s character development through the course of the book was really fun too. Thank you to the author for the opportunity to ARC read this one!
I am officially in my feelings because I cannot believe we’ve reached the final book in this absolute masterpiece of a series! 😭💔 You need to sprint, not walk, and grab this book before the living dead beat you to it! 🧟♂️💨 "There were a few times I thought that was the end of the road for me. And then I thought of you, and somehow I kept going every time.”
Addison and Wyatt? I am speechless. Pure perfection. There is nothing, and I really do mean nothing, more satisfying than watching a FMC transform from terrified to an absolute B.A woman and MAMA! 💪🔥 And EXCUSE ME?! The use of "My Wife" when she wasn't even his yet?! 🫠🫠🫠 Honestly, the character growth across the board was phenomenal. This book will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, gasping out loud. The twists and turns? Horrifying, brilliant, and totally unexpected! 😱✨ Saying goodbye to this world is so bittersweet, but Anna, you went out with an absolute BANG! A truly incredible read. 🏆📖
After the world went down with a disease that turn people into walking eating things that can come at you at any time is very scary. More when you find yourself in a house with your child alone and not knowing what can happen. This man comes in claiming is his home and you now have to either leave or share your space with him. What an adventure these characters had staying together to survive. These series have a special place in my heart, I am a sucker for post-apocalyptic stories and they have given it all. This one was definitely my favorite. The characters, their story, the way they bonded together and all they did to survive was amazing. Plus the author has a beautiful way of writing to keep you engaged and wanting more. Loved it so much !!!
I wish I could live off of Anna Callaway's books! This is the last book in the Flowers from Ashes series, and it's such a bittersweet ending. You have the closure of the story, and the tie-ins from previous books, which is so sweet, but it also means that this series is over for now - and I wasn't ready for that yet!
I did love seeing Addison and Wyatt and their relationship (and oh lordy did they have some good moments!) This book will make you feel all the emotions, and I can't recommend this series enough!
I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book, and I genuinely enjoyed this addition to the series. I loved Addison and Wyatt. What stood out to me most was the slow burn development of their relationship. The trust between them takes time to build, which made everything feel more real and worth it. The banter between the characters was another favorite part. Oh and lets not forget about the zombies. I think this was a very good way to end the series.
This was a good, fast, apocalyptic romance. This story follow Addison, Wyatt, and their budding relationship after Addison's POS husband abandons her and their young daughter while Addison is also pregnant. Through meeting Wyatt and going through many twists and turns, she slowly starts to learn how she should be getting loved and what life is like when someone actually cares for you.
Anna Callaway has sucked me into the zombie apocalypse yet again! I was 100% here for it when I read book 2 and book 4 was just as great!!!!! Action packed, breaks your heart and puts it back together. It’s such an amazing story of people struggling with not only what is going on in the world but their own demons and finding such an amazing kind of love in such a dark and crazy time!
I loved everything about this book. It had the perfect amount of romance and apocalypse throughout. Addison kind of reminded me of a younger version of Carol from TWD. Wayne is an absolute badass and so is Emma. Special mention for the fainting goats because I’ve been worried about the poor babies since Say We’ll Begin Again. The ending was insane and had me hooked until the very last page.
post-apocalyptic • not his kid • forced proximity • survival •slow burn •
Overall I liked the story and Wyatt and Addison, but for some reason I struggled a little to really connect with them. I’m not sure I enjoyed the epilogues though. The focus put on Addison’s emotions (ups and downs) just didn’t really mesh with the storyline imo. Glad they got their hea though.
