Secure Obsession is a sweet and exquisite story of love hoped for and love carefully restrained. It might not sound like those two can live together, but they certainly did on this short and spicy book. They were meticulously deliberate and desperately starving.
Gabriel had a very compelling reason for compulsively watching but not approaching Elizabeth as he longed to. It was a life changing reason, and he refused to take unnecessary risks. Elizabeth was used to being independent and working for everything she had. She didn't have anything handed to or have anyone who wanted to take care of her. Would anything bring these two together finally, and would it keep them together or be the reason they walked away?
Elizabeth lived her life like she always had. She didn't ask for what she couldn't earn, and she was thankful for the things Gabriel had sent her way. It was the only way she felt the least but cared for. Gabriel's patience has finally run its limits, and his wolf is ready to give up on him. One small discovery finally blows up his entire world, and he knows he has to act fast before his heart is gone.
This is a new author to me, and I was blown away by the beauty and art of tip toeing around two characters who obviously wanted so much more. Somehow she made it seem professional, and yet their hearts knew there could be so much more between them. The obsession only fueled my love for Gabriel, and had me hoping that Elizabeth would say yes and hold on tight. What a wild rush!.

This is a great story for a quick read. Lots of buildup and anticipation, a couple of steamy scenes, and a satisfying conclusion. The main characters, Gabriel and Elizabeth, were both likable, especially Elizabeth. And Elizabeth’s sister? Loved her.
