Noah Havard was finally moving on. He had the job, the plan, and his bags half-packed. Then he met Kalia.
One minute, he’s helping a nervous stranger in a beach bar, and the next, he’s hauled through a portal and dumped onto Dater Five-J—the Asema Conglomerate’s most secure prison planet—900,000 light-years from Earth.
Kalia is an ice elf, a fugitive, and now, Noah is her only hope for survival.
The rules of Dater Five-J are rot in a basic hut for the rest of your days or fight for the horizon. No one has escaped in over thousand years, and the wilds are crawling with supersized beasts and backstabbing inmates. But before Noah can even drive a spear point home, he has a bigger the planet’s interface doesn’t even know he exists.
To lead them to freedom, he first has to make the system recognize him.
This book was just ok. The MC has a really bad case of White Knight syndrome, acting like the first woman he meets is incapable of doing anything on her own.
The MC is a bar bouncer getting over his ex cheating on him when he's whisked to another world along side a blue-skinned elven ice mage he just met like an hour earlier. It's a prison world, where he's not seen and doesn't get a "system" like she does. And upon leaving the hut, she finds out she has to kill 1,000 creatures on the island to advance to the next island. Since he's with her, he's more than helping. He's taking the lead on fights, and having her stand back to pick off what he can't handle on his own. She has magical ability, but no mana without getting mana potions.
The MC has one harem member by the end of the book that he's lovers with, and a second that's going to join probably at the start of the next book. The first doesn't get much time to shine, because the MC is always taking on every challenge she's supposed to face. The sex scenes were very boring.
My biggest problem with the book is the MC taking on all the fighting he can while leaving crumbs to her initially. And, he's not too bright. He kicks off two wooden legs from a table so they weapons, but doesn't think to kick off the other two legs so they each have a backup. That, and the MC always thinks of the women by their hair color, skin color, or "profession".
