Heartbroken from a recent situationship gone wrong, Brady signs up for Mate Match in search of his perfect mate. As a recessive omega, he knows the pickings are slim, but the app did so well for his best friend, Jae, so it's worth a shot, right? When he's matched with a familiar face, he's left wondering if this is a cosmic joke or fate. What if Xavier is his last chance at happiness?
Betrayed in the worst way, Xavier has to pick up the pieces of his heart and life. He knows he lost something special in Brady, so when he hears the omega is dating again, he joins Mate Match just to get matched with him. Xavier won Brady's heart once, he can do it again, right?
Mate Xaver & Brady is an MM omegaverse second chance romance between a stubborn omega who knows what he wants, and the alpha who is willing to put in the work to prove himself. Expect a ton of sweetness, a baby, and a HEA. This is book 2 in the Mate Match series and best read after book 1, Mate Curtis & Jae.
4.5 stars Xavier and Xio are a married couple, two alphas. By turns, they look for a third. Xavier found omega Brady. They have the best time together and will share Brady’s heat and maybe have a baby.
It turned out badly. Brady was suspicious there would be another omega and he was right. Heartbroken he left the relationship. But… it seems he’s not the only one who was hurt.
Xavier was cheated on by Xio who secretly started a relationship with a female omega. Xavier is hurt and heartbroken, he lost not only his husband but also the omega he loved. He has to try to explain and win Brady back. Easier said than done. Brady started to date other alphas through the Mate Matched app. And that's what this story is about: Xavier trying to win Brady back. It took a while, before Brady believed they were the Perfect Match.
It was a captivating story, with hurt-comfort, shared heats, nasty confrontations, and helpful friends and families. Brady and Xavier are perfect together. Overall an entertaining story, I enjoyed it very much.
After the sweetness that was Curtis and Jae, I was excited to get Brady's story. We knew going in that Brady had been seeing Xavier and Gio, a married alpha pair. What we didn't know, is what Gio had been doing behind both Brady and Xavier's backs. Honestly, I really hated Gio. He hurt not only Brady, but a man he had spent a decade married to and claimed to love. I don't blame Xavier for feeling the sting of that betrayal and deciding to end it. There really was no coming back from that.
Unfortunately for Xavier, Brady feels the same about the two of them. Brady's hurt and he spends too much time lost in his head thinking of all the things that make giving it a go with just Xavier impossible. Not to mention the fact that Brady is a recessive omega, which means it can be harder to get pregnant. He knows Xavier dreams of children so that is another thing added to the pile of Brady's worries.
Brady went through a lot of highs and lows during his journey to his HEA with Xavier. He did a lot of assuming which caused some major hurdles to get past. Thankfully Xavier is a devoted alpha and he doesn't let Brady's reluctance stop him from proving he is the perfect match for Brady.
Xavier & Brady’s story is the second book in the Mate Match series, and it’s a light, easy, and enjoyable read. It’s a story about two people trying to rebuild trust after things have already gone wrong, and it does a great job of making their emotional reactions feel believable.
What I loved most is how real the relationship struggles feel. Brady’s difficulty with trust is never glossed over or simplified. On the other hand, Xavier is determined to show up, prove himself, and earn his place in Brady’s life. Their relationship feels like something they have to build together rather than something that simply falls into place. 🥰 That said, I wish the emotional longing had been explored a little more. There are plenty of moments where Xavier’s efforts are described, but I would have loved more insight into his thoughts and feelings, especially to balance Brady’s hesitation.
This is a low angst romance that focuses more on emotional resolution than constant conflict, which is a refreshing change. I really liked seeing them work through misunderstandings, outside interference (Gio the narcissistic bastard 🤬), and the lingering effects of broken trust. I especially loved that we got to see all the emotional messiness that comes with it. Emotions are messy, relationships even more so, and I always enjoy it when authors aren't afraid to show that. ❤️ Their HEA is hard won, but also really beautiful. 🥰
The one thing I felt was missing was closure for a couple of side characters, particularly Gio and Candice. It doesn’t take away from Xavier and Brady’s love story, but it is noticeable if, like me, you pay attention to those details. Leaving those loose ends makes it feel like not everything is fully resolved.
Overall, this is a sweet second chance romance about rebuilding trust and choosing each other after everything has fallen apart. Jax Stuart delivers a story that is easy to read in one sitting, especially if you enjoy stories that focus more on emotional healing and commitment than big dramatic twists. 🥰
I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my unbiased review.
Quick CW note there is cheating within the book NOT Between MCs though. The couple does have an open relationship WITH rules and those rules were not followed. I think this is more of a mid angst then low but there is NO miscommunication here! 🙌🏻 All the cards are on the table and there is a HEA!
🌶🌶🌶.5
Brady met Xavier and Gio who were looking for an Omega and 3rd in their relationship. Xavier and Gio are both Alphas and Married. Brady thought everything was going good he had a great relationship with the guys more Xavier than Gio but great still! They were planning on spending Brady's heat together when Brady found out that there was another Omega in the picture....Brady quickly called everything off and cut off the guys. Come to find out Xavier wasn't aware of this other Omega either 😳 After a complete mess happens with Gio, Xavier can only think about Brady the one he really lost due to all this so he decides to reach out and explain everything to Brady hoping for a other chance in his life. Brady is hesitant but he can't ignore the special bond they had. Brady now has to figure out if he wants a future with Xavier and if he believes him when he says he is over his marriage. Wheeew Brady sure makes Xavier work for that forgiveness man! I'm sure alot of people will agree this is low angst but when the major drama is in the relationship my nerves are a wreck! Brady had alot of self worth issues too along the way and Xavier really was just a giant green flag Boyfriend man working for that forgiveness AND still supporting Brady making him feel loved even from the side lines 🥹😍
Brady joins Mate Match hoping to move on from his failed situationship with Xavier, even though being a recessive, likely infertile omega makes finding a partner harder. Xavier, realising too late what he lost, signs up too — determined to be matched with Brady again and win back the heart he broke.
I really enjoyed the way this story centred on the connection between Brady and Xavier, a bond that was clearly strong even before everything fell apart. Xavier’s determination to win Brady back gave the romance a heartfelt second‑chance feel, and it was easy to see how much he regretted losing him. I’ll admit that Brady’s refusal to let Xavier in again became a little tedious after a while, especially since he kept going on Mate Match dates and almost seemed to expect Xavier to swoop in and rescue him. Their mutual decision to use Mate Match felt a bit cavalier, but it did add an interesting twist as they both hoped to be matched again. Despite the bumps, the story delivered a sweet, satisfying happily ever after, full of emotions, lingering feelings, and the sense that some connections really are worth fighting for. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.
This one was so hard to rate, because at the beginning of the book I was sure it was going to be 4 stars. I was more invested in the story compared to the 1st book, mainly because I love drama. The character's dynamic intrigued me and I was curious to see how they work through the betrayal. Neither Brady or Xavier deserved what happened to them. But then we got to the middle and I got really frustrated with some of the choices Brady was making. Like I understood some of them, especially in the beginning after all the drama happened, but Xavier definitely didn't deserve that treatment from him, especially with everything he was already dealing with. The mate match dates in particular rubbed me the wrong way. I just couldn't bring myself to rate it higher than the 1st book after that. Not taking that into consideration, I really liked Xavier's and Brady's relationship. They were sweet together and Xavier was so supporting and loving towards Brady. I started enjoying the story once more after they got back in a relationship and started building a life together.
Overall the story was fast paced and easy to read, so if you're looking for some second chance omegaverse romance with mpreg, this is the story for you.
I love this book and these characters. I have been waiting for this story since I read Jae and Curtis’ one and it completed hit the mark! Brady and Xavier are both sweethearts. This book flows so well, I had it read in less than 2 hours! I couldn’t put it down! If you love sweetness, with some roadblocks, knotty times, babies and HEA, then this book is for you! So the story with Brady and Xavier starts off a bit rocky as Xavier is married and his husband made plans for their future without Xavier’s knowledge so trust is broken - not just with Xavier and Gio but also Brady towards them both. B and X take the time to adjust to the changes in their dynamic and learn to be a twosome while developing their love and trust. The app plays its role in helping that trust cement along with friends and family. I also loved all the other characters as well and I am hoping Marty is next! It’s honestly such an easy and lovely read by Jax Stuart.

Brady meets Xavier when he and his husband Gio pick him to be the third in their relationship. Things don't work out and the throuple break up. Brady and Xavier are devastated. Gio isn't very upset because he has other ideas about what he wants in a relationship. Things are happening behind the scenes that throw Brady and Xavier for a loop. Now Brady doesn't know what he wants anymore and Xavier is trying to keep Brady in his life. Brady decides to use Mate Match to find an alpha who will help him get over Xavier. Xavier joins Mate Match to prove to Brady that he's the alpha Brady needs. Mate Match doesn't turn out to be a good thing for either of them but it does help convince Brady that Xavier is for him. Soon these two are working out their issues and letting the past go.
This is a romance with low drama. Gio turns out to be a wanking narcissist. 😡 He does things to keep Xavier and Brady apart but they never really do much. He pulls a stunt and it's pretty easily worked through. I felt like there wasn't complete closure on Gio. 🤔 We're left hanging as to where he ends up. 🤷♀️ Also we don't get closure on Candice. 🤔 Does she get the help needed to protect her from Gio? 🤷♀️ And the mystery about Marty's alphas? We don't get much information on them and never get to meet them. Is it to set up book three? 🤔🤷♀️ This was a nice, short story to spend a few hours on.
This is a second chance omegaverse romance novella, featuring Xavier and Brady, and is book two in the Mate March series.
After a painful breakup, Brady joins the Mate Match app hoping to find his perfect mate and move on from Xavier and Dom. When Xavier realises his husband cheated on him and Brady and that he’s lost Brady in the process, he signs up to the dating app, determined to be matched with Brady and win him back.
This was a very sweet read. Brady and Xavier were so good together and I love how persistent Xavier was and how much he we there to prove to Brady he is worth love.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 2 in series Novella MM omegaverse romance Omega x Alpha Age gap (39 / 27) Size difference Hurt / Comfort Established couple + third Heartbreak Ex cheated / newly divorced Second chance Dating app Spicy times Heat s*x & s*x toys Knotting, biting & marking BDSM vibes / restraints Wall s*x & carries him Car s*x & public s*x Felching & Mpreg Fated mates Found family Hard fought HEA
4.5 stars If you want a love story where they have to work for it, this is your book! Brady is really struggling to trust and Xavier has to work through some life first. I really appreciated the authenticity of the struggles. Even when Brady was frustrating me! It was still very much like something someone would actually do. I would’ve enjoyed some more pining. There were a lot of telling me what Xavier will do to earn Brady. I wanted to hear Xavier’s thoughts more. His yearning for his omega. He definitely put the work in though! I wish the togetherness portion of the story had been a bit longer. I’m hoping that the teasers for Marty’s story are accurate and that perhaps it’ll be taboo?!
Thank you Jax Stuart for sending this ARC. This review contains my own opinion and personal thoughts on the book.
Gio and Xavier are married alphas who often include a third, an omega, in their bedroom activities. Things are going fine and they find an omega, Brady, that Xavier truly connects with. Then Gio betrays Xavier in a horrible way and poor Brady is caught in the aftermath. When Xavier learns that Brady is using the mate matching app, he immediately begins working on winning Brady back. Xavier has a lot of work to do in order to convince Brady that this time they could have their HEA, especially because of his issues with not being able to have children. I loved the care and patience Xavier showed Brady and that Brady did eventually believe and trust Xavier.
It's just not working for me. I feel like this could have been such a heart-wrenching, emotional read, but the choice to make the cheating husband a cliche, 2-D guy, and wronged omega Brady's inexplicable decisions not to ask, talk, confront...NOTHING...about finding ALL this ongoing evidence of a second omega in the apartment/the alpha married couple's lives stretched things too far and made Brady TSTL rather than sympathetic.
Plus, Xavier clearly loves/wants him, is groveling, sorry, and says (truthfully) that he didn't even know, so...what's the problem? Where's the conflict? I have no sense Brady even trusted/really was into Gio as a person/partner anyway.
OMG...this was super duper messy. Especially in the beginning. I really didn't think I was gonna get through it. Prior to reading I was thinking this was about couple getting matched on the app...not an established throuple. I really don't read throuples so I was gonna give up on it but I kept on...yeah because of the drama...the massive trainwreck that was Brady, Xavier and the ex douche Gio. All I can say...this was definitely a page turner...I give my boy Xavier props...he was in it to win it and he didn't give up on his omega Brady. Lovely outcome at the end. If you like a big ol juicy mess...this book /romance is for you.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Xavier and Brady had a difficult road to happiness as an insistent ex, lies, betrayal and manipulation contributed to their obstacles along the way. Insecurities, doubts and threats also gave their fifty cents in the matter, coupled with fear and a faulty communication. I liked Xavier determination to win over Brady, his care and dedication, as well as the ways he made sure Brady was taken care of. I liked their friends and the support they offered, as well as their families that were their in their difficult times. I also liked the bundles of joy and the love they were surrounded with. This was a hard won happiness, and I’m looking forward the next adventure.
Mate Matched: Xavier & Brady is the second book in the Mate Match series. In my opinion this series is best read in order. The Mate Match App. Strikes again. This is the story of Brady a recessive omega and Xavier an alpha. This was a short quick read that I really enjoyed. I loved these two and watching them work through their past issues to build a relationship was perfect. I loved all the characters except maybe Gio but your not supposed to like him. I just really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next one in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series as 5 star reads. received a free review copy
These two don’t have a straight path to love, but it does come with growth, and the knowledge that they are good for each other. There are a bunch of ups and downs, and in truth, Brady is a little dramatic, and definitely not good at communicating or trusting. But it's also fun watching Xavier work to win Brady back.
I really enjoy Jax’s style, and she writes wonderful characters. I will admit, however, that this is my first MPREG. I wanted to give it a try, especially as Jax writes a lot of it. And it’s absolutely not for me. I don’t get it. Love that others do, though, and I think if you do, this is a lovely story.
This book was so good! I absolutely loved Xavier and Brady together. They both have to work through their own heartbreak, and watching them heal, grow, and fight for their happily ever after was incredibly rewarding.
One of my favorite aspects of the story was how it highlighted that there are many different paths to becoming a parent. It beautifully celebrates the idea that families are built in all kinds of ways, and that message really resonated with me.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys emotional, heartfelt romances with wonderful character growth and a satisfying happily ever after.
Gio and Xavi were alphas, married but still involved with third omegas in an open marriage. Xavi picked Brady as a third, a male omega and fell in love with him. But Gio had been secretly meeting with a female omega, got her pregnant, causing a divorce but hurting Brady in the process. Now Xavi has to win Brady back, prove his love and convince Brady he's a good guy. It's a tangle but Xavi and Brady deserve happiness and love. It's steamy with heats involved and lots of angst but always Xavi 's devotion. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.
Short, sweet, and cute. Jax Stuart is easily one of my favorite authors, so it was easy for me to decide to read this. Although it's the second of the 'Mate Match' series, this is the first one for me. Now I want to read Book #1 "Mate Match: Curtis & Jae" to see how the series started. Xavier and Brady are such sweethearts. The ending is super satisfying. I enjoyed reading this book immensely and happily recommend it.
Such a great read! Dating is hard especially when all the people aren’t honest !
Reading the story of Xavier and Brady was tough in parts as my heart felt for them both! They are great characters that have a deep connection that just makes the story flow!
I loved the way it all went and ended! It was beautiful!
I received an advanced reader copy of this book but it did not affect my honest opinion!
Gio and Xavi are a couple who sometimes took a third. When Brady comes into their lives, Gio starts to pull away but Xavi realizes he has fallen in love with Brady. However, it comes to light that Gio is having twins with a woman and the 2 split up and get divorced. Brady doesnt know how he feels and so breaks it off with Xavi. Xavi spends most of the book trying to win Brady back. A nice story with little angst and cameos from previous couples.
Oh these two really went through the it before they got their happy ever after. I was kind of expecting them to match instantly on the app and everything would work out right away but they really had to work at their relationship and take things slow to be able to build something stronger. A great story!
Mate Matched: Xavier & Brady is the second book in the Mate Match series and should be read in order. I really enjoyed this second chance romance about Brady and Xavier, there is so much to their story and it was so good to read.
No spoilers of any kind included. This will be all that I say about Mate Matched: Xavier & Brady was it was good book to climb into and get lost within its pages. So it’s a yes from me that I do recommend this book.
I absolutely loved this story. This was such a wonderful heartfelt story. The characters were amazing and I loved how they had to really work for their HEA.
