In Second Down, Christmas provides a backdrop for co-parents Lauryn Greer and Carmelo Calloway, running back for the Houston Skyhawks, to confront their messy past and indulge in an unexpected present that could change their future.

i loved these stories! the off season was a quick catch up with characters and connections that were already established but that yearning!! i could feel it thru the pages. i read hail mary a while back and loved it then. but the real star of the show was second down! omg i need more of that one. the banter! the history! i usually do not condone sliding in a complicated co parent situation but whew! that man said he want his family!!!! and wanna prove it!
