In Dublin, fair city...Molly's back in a new country with a dynamic that differs from the Chronicles of an Amateur Reaper series in Oregon, though many recurring characters are still with us, and the back and forth snarking between Molly and ghost cat Fuzzy is intact. Callbacks to the old series are frequent, though it never felt to me like you need to have read it. Pacing on this book is crisp, I'd say in fact a bit better than before, where on the previous books it sometimes felt a chapter or two were entertaining, but not strictly necessary to move the plot forward. At times it felt like a scene was there because it had to be, the series having established moments that would get a new push in most or all of the sequels. This book feels like it has deliberately freed itself of that obligation, and the plot's motion never felt like it slowed down. Someone was always moving, and if it wasn't Molly, it was the enemy.

Molly has gained in both skill and maturity as the books have gone on, and indeed the moniker 'amateur' no longer clings to her. Long term objectives have been stated also and not resolved, so I am looking forward to seeing where the new series goes from here.

I have said this many, many (many!) times, but I’m on the hunt for new authors in my favorite genre, with this being a pick. I started it, and I was immediately drawn into the book, like the characters already had a bond. As I kept reading, I realized that this felt too much like that and did some research. Yup, this is a new series with the same characters from another. No matter, I kept reading. While I really didn’t notice too much of a feeling I’m missing something, one thing kept this from being a great read for me: Molly got on my last nerve. LOL! I really did enjoy this, but I think I would have enjoyed this even more if I’d read the other series. Well-written and interesting. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I really enjoyed reading Death's Arrival. Molly is an awesome character. She's determined, and I love her personality. Her banter with Fuzzy was a consistent highlight of the book for me. All of the characters were interesting and well-developed. The setting was immersive, and the story was engrossing from the beginning. Apparently there's another series about these characters, but I didn't feel like it took anything away from the book that I hadn't read that series first. This is a great introduction to Molly and her friends, and I highly recommend it for urban fantasy readers.

Molly Coyle has been a reaper long enough to learn how to act like one. Molly is stubborn. Her guide, Fuzzy, who appears as a red ghost cat and speaks to her telepathically, is still trying to teach her, but has his own stubborn streaks: he is always demanding milkshakes. She is in Ireland to try to find her mother, who may not want to be found.

Will Molly stay out of trouble? Will Fuzzy get his milkshakes? Will she find her mother, or at links to her?

Don't ask the book's AI! Read the book for yourself; it will be worth the time.

I enjoy this authors books. The story is well written, engaging - I felt like I was in Ireland.
In this book Molly begins the search for her biological mother but runs into problems on day 1 when she saves a young mother and her child from a car jacking. She attacked the wrong sort of attention and begins a fight for her life.
I can’t wait for the next book in this new series. I Loved the reaper series too.

I enjoyed this reaper storyline with drama, danger, humor, and great secondary characters. The MC is defined, stubborn, impulsive, and determined, and has a wonderful found family. I liked this entertaining and engaging book.

This book was interesting. I loved the Supernatural aspects and that the FMC was a Reaper..the storyline was great. It was definitely different than most books I read because I usually like lots of spice to them..this had none… it was assumed but never anything more than that. The story flowed well. I recieved an advance reader copy of this book for an honest voluntary review.

Great read. I like the premise and now I have a new series to read. Good characters and visual descriptions. Molly has made a move and she's already under fire. Who wants her killed and why?

Received advanced copy from author and this is my honest opinion.
