Not bad for the first of a series. This is the first book that I've read by Blake Pierce but I have quite a few "firsts in a series" by him on my Kindle. He must routinely give away the first one. I thought this was an OK mystery...I was surprised at the reveal at the end. I think that the set up for happenings in further series books was a little transparent but I guess I won't be sure unless I read more to find out. I'll probably try the next one to see how it goes. It was a fairly uncomplicated, quick read.

The book was entertaining, fast-paced, and a quick read that kept me drawn into the story from the beginning. The setting felt realistic, and I especially liked the detail given to the location, which helped bring the story to life.

The characters were likeable and believable, and the killer’s identity was genuinely a surprise. There were some minor spelling and grammatical errors throughout, but they didn’t take too much away from the overall story.

I would recommend this book and will definitely be purchasing the second one to see what FBI agent Finn Wright gets up to next.

CHIRP AUDIOBOOK

I really enjoyed this humorous Finn audiobook. I was a little skeptical about purchasing it initially, because it’s about an FBI agent who is working on a case in England, and I thought it would be an awkward fit? As it turns out, it was a great fit for the character…

ONE NOTE: this CHIRP audio version needs to be edited because there’s a lot of duplication, which is distracting. (perhaps Blake Pierce, the author, should listen to this one himself?)

It didn't take long to get drawn into this story. Very entertaining.
