From Bestselling cozy mystery author Nancy C. Davis
Half asleep with boredom, Millie perks up to a news report that her local jeweler has been murdered in what appears to be a botched robbery. In her bumbling way as she insists to Detective Marx that you catch more lies with honey, she digs deep to try to put the killer to justice and finds that there are more suspects with motives than she could imagine. As the plot thickens, and Millie crosses lines, she starts to wonder if she's in danger. When it comes down to the wire, will Millie escape a desperate situation, and will she decide maybe sleuthing isn't as important as being with her small family of felines?
If you love animals, especially cats, you will enjoy this cozy mystery series (all books can be read as a standalone)
I love cats. In fact I adore them. I am a cozy mystery author and massage therapist. When I'm not writing my next cat cozy mystery, I am facilitating healing in others through my massage practice in beautiful Southern California. I find inspiration through animals and my natural surroundings, and I spend most of my days and nights enjoying the company of my two Tortoiseshell cats.
A light fast quick read. Millie a single woman, a writer who has computer skills. She lives in apartment with 5 cats. She is friends with homicide detective who values her help. He keeps her to stay out of it but Millie does what she wants. She looking into the deaths that occurred in a robbery of a jewelry store. The are her babies or children and play no part in the tale. I was disappointed as I was expecting a cat story

Terrific read about Millie (who most readers will love to hate). After solving the mysterious death of her neighbour, things settle down and she finds that she is now bored. The news that deaths have occurred at her favourite jewellers give her a spring in her step. Who and why? Embezzlement, robbery and deceit are all mixed into a nice neat plot that will keep you guessing until the end. The characters are all now starting to grow on me.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
I dearly love a good mystery, especially if you throw in a good looking cop and a few cats. I must admit that I missed the twist at the end. I definitely recommend this.
